Shape Shifting - Gunner can easily shift in and out of her human form to her little red panda form. I can take quite a bit of energy if she must do so quickly or right at the moment. Often, when shifting back to human form, she'll come with a few animal characteristics; often, in human form, she might have her panda ears or something. That usually only happens when she shifts too quickly or something.
Plant Control - Red Pandas love to climb, so if she's ever in a bind and needs to get away, she can make her way up a tree and generate more branches along the way, or make other ones behind her die and fall off. She can also conjure plants from anywhere within a two hundred foot radius. As long as there's any type of organic material, like just a little bit of soil, she can make it happen. She tends to wear a bottle on a necklace; it contains soil in case she needs to show some flower power at short notice.

Gunner doesn't have a specific style, but in one word: thrifty. Most of the clothes she owns are from thrift stores. She probably won't pay more than ten bucks for a shirt. Her outfits mostly consist of high waisted jeans or self-cut shorts, not to mention some printed leggings here and there; she tends to mostly wear band or superhero tees, or literally any graphic tees, like her favorite long, baggy Jaws shirt; she often wears flannels and beanies; lastly, she usually wear vans, doc marten boots, or converse, sometimes her old western boots. Keep in mind, however, she DIY's a lot of her stuff. She's known for sewing band tees on the back of her flannels and jackets, as well as cutting things into tank tops, sewing badges on jackets and so on.

gunner has several ear piercings that she doesn't put to much use, but has a nose ring. she has two sparrows along her v-line that she got at 16 years of age. it was at a hole-in-the-wall type place, it was illegal, the artist wasn't that great, but it was excited for her at first. she loathes telling the original meaning of them ("they were supposed to mean i was a free bird, and also because sparrows always find their way home, no matter where they are..") and tries to avoid it or come up with a much better story. it happened mostly as a symbol of healing after her father's death and after being brought back to life after her world spiraled out of control. it was also a symbol after she beat cancer, bringing the "free bird" theme to mind again.
for scarring, gunner has an obvious scar on the left side of her bottom lip. it's much like a splice. however, it has a slightly humorous, but mostly serious, back story. when she was younger she had gotten a lip piercing with a fake id, considering most parlors don't do piercings on minors under 16, or without parental consent. she got snake bites. one day at school, someone had said something offensive about her father. then, she pulled off the "loyal dog to the leader of the pack" and stuck up in his behalf, and ended up getting in a fight. in the scuffle, she ended up getting the ring torn out, and left a scar.
however, she has a splice in her left ear from one summer when she was 13. her and her family went to a lake. of course, she was swinging on a rope to jump in, when she let go at a wrong time and scraped the left side of her face, literally tearing some cartilage from her left ear. however, it very small and not very noticeable.
she has several other scars from surgery, falling, wrestling, rough housing and so on, scattered all over her body.

gunner is honestly very strange. raised by many brave, courageous warriors (a majority of her immediate family served in the military; her father being a marine, and three of her brothers being in the marines or the air force) and was immediately brought up with the type of 'i fight for what's right, and i try to bring honor to my family' mentality. she grew up around 7 older brothers, and basically acted like one. never wore makeup, went lizard catching, loved being outdoors, wrestled the other boys, so on. she's basically a huge tomboy. she loves getting knee deep in mud, adventuring and hiking out in the wilderness, camping, all that. she despises glitter, even so much as the color pink, and rarely ever gives in to the type of 'girly' stereotypes.
smart // intelligent — she's quite intelligent. she's often able to figure out tough equations or problems, and is often seen studying everything. she's usually with her nose in a book, learning about strange things or trying to understand something. she's really just a walking encyclopedia or something; she's just really knowledgeable. add on being a wise raven (she says ravens, since ravens are actually the most intelligent, contrary to the belief of owls being the most intelligent and the wisest), and she's basically your mr. rogers.
creative // artistic — gunner is also extremely creative. she loves drawing, painting, sculpting, writing.. whatever medium that will help her express herself. she's usually seen with her hands stained with paint or ink, and is usually found doing something. she's often sketching, considering she brings a sketchbook everywhere she goes. she's thoughtful and sees everything with an artistic eye. the sky isn't just blue to her; it's a "blanket of cyan that reflects our world. oh, and some cute li'l fluffy things flying across the sky". birds don't just sing, they "speak of their feelings of often being trapped and seen as mere object, they must express themselves in someway!". since she often tends to analyze everything, she's extremely observant. she can tell by the calluses on your fingers that you play guitar. she can tell that you were making pie just by the scent on your shirt. safe to say, she takes a lot of time to recognize little unique details in people.
kind // peaceful — she's extremely kind and tries her best to fix things in the most peaceful way. gunner is usually the shoulder to cry on, or is usually out to just give hugs to anyone. gunner is notorious for often handing out bundles of flowers to cheer someone up, or making hand made presents as a congratulation. she's just a big fluff ball, really, and is just there to help anyone. it's rare to see her upset or angry.
optimistic // happy — gunner is generally extremely happy and enthusiastic. she's basically just a ray of sunshine. she goes around and tries to make everyone's day better. she strongly believes everyone has some good in them, unless it is shown otherwise. she has a very optimistic outlook on the world, and is relatively excited to see how the world progresses. she always looks on the bright side, and it's rare she thinks of the bad sides of people or situations.
courageous // brave — she believes courage is not being fearless, but being able to face your fears. she's able to overcome barriers, but can get a bit skittish and anxious along the way.however, she's willing to look danger in the face and tell it to screw off, even if she's week at the knees with sweat running down her face. while she does fear many things, she is usually able to overcome them. while she may not rid of the fear in whole, she's at least able to overlook it in some ways and continue on her way.
the down sides —despite all these favorable traits, gunner is constantly battling herself. she feels like she has to make people happy, and she can't do that by being her own person. she tries her best to change herself to seem somewhat likable, and is often beating herself up for one small thing. she's very harsh on herself and tends to look at herself negatively. unfortunately, gunner inherited much of her father's side of the bad traits. bauer folks always had an odd way of showing affection (if they displayed any), and are extremely stubborn and have a nature of wanting to show that they are likable, which ends up with them being slightly unlikable.
obstinate // tenacious — gunner is a generally easy going person, but once she has her mind set on something, she probably will not let anyone sway her determination. she's often guilty of pressing on, even if others insist she doesn't. while she has the brains to know when to stop or when something isn't going to work out, she's just very determined and is willing to elbow her way to something if she has to.
quiet // reserved — while she may not seem like it, she is usually one to keep to herself and usually doesn't voice her opinions. it's rare she'll speak out on her own behalf. most of the time, she does not contribute her own ideas until it's too late. she tends to panic when she's about to speak, and usually ends up screwing up; thus why she tries to keep to herself.
distrusting // doubting — due to frequently becoming attached to people and them leaving, gunner has a bit of her own trust issues. before, it was rather easy for her to cling on to someone, but now she is a whole other person. it's hard for her to believe people and wouldn't trust anyone. gunner can't bear to be betrayed again, so she puts up a guard that distances herself from people.
nervous // fidgety — it's rare that gunner isn't tapping her foot, wringing her hands or twittling her thumbs. she's usually nervous, even when she shouldn't be. however, anxious would be a better word. she tends to worry easily and cares for people too much. she'll worry herself sick sometimes. she can keep cool under certain pressuring circumstances, but otherwise she is usually a anxious wreck.
secretive // feline — gunner tends to keep her feelings and thoughts to herself, but is quite skilled in keeping secrets. this has upsides and downsides, however. she usually says "cross my heart, stick a thousand needles in my eye," and usually keeps to that. she tends to bottle up her emotions, however, until it gets unbearable and has some sort of breakdown.
contradictory // antithetical — gunner has the habit of often going against her very own words. she'll give advice that she won't follow, and is usually seen going against herself. she tends to contradict herself in several ways that's honestly hard to explain.

- gunner is extremely talent when it comes to art and music. she can fearlessly channel her emotions and feelings with a simple paint brush or pencil. she can draw, paint or sculpt with accurate and intricate design, as well as knows several techniques. she also knows how to play the piano, ukulele, guitar, drums, violin, harmonica and cello.
- she's tough, physically and emotionally. words don't hurt her much anymore, and she's pretty great when it comes to scraping knees. her paint tolerance is pretty high for the most part. if she says she's in pain, then she must definitely be in pain.
- simply put, she's intelligent. she was taking high school math and reading classes by the time she was in 5th grade. she had mostly straight a's throughout her life and has maintained a pretty good record.

- gunner may be somewhat outgoing, but she has terrible social anxiety. it goes along hand-in-hand with her being ridiculously awkward. she vomits out her words, stammers, and is rather self-conscious about the things she says or does.
- gunner can often be easily manipulated, depending by who. she is always afraid of rumors being spread about her or people saying things about her, so she usually does what everyone wants to 1) make them happy and 2) make sure her reputation isn't ruined.
- gunner has the habit of not sharing her feelings. she'll keep it bottled up until it's too late and she has an outburst. she's not very emotional anyway, but she still has emotions (she'll say something like "emotions? what emotions?").
- gunner tends to be a little too curious. she often gets herself in trouble for this. she'll slink around hall ways, get into rooms and dig through stuff (she makes sure to leave everything as it was before, just in case) and tends to get into people's business. it just happens.

gunner was born in a small town in arizona; everyone was closely knit and there was little to no secrets to keep there. everyone knew each other there and would smile and wave when they saw you walking down the street. gunner lived on a beautiful ranch full of horses, cattle and various other critters. the ranch was own by her two aunts, father and uncle; handed down from their great grand parents. her father, however, was an active duty marine and was soon sent back to the base in california, dragging his family along with them. they lived in one of those base homes surrounded by other families who constantly dealt with someone in their family being in the military. everyone told gunner that california was a great place and that it was definitely an enjoyable place.. but they hadn't been on the base. gunner wasn't exactly crazy about the base. she thought the houses were identical bird houses glued together. the school was worse; the kids were grouchy and had stuck-up attitudes.. they usually teased her for being so withdrawn. being only nine years, she was still very tiny, scrawny and rather weak. most kids her age were already signed up for sports or organizations, unlike her.

gunner's father was hardly around, so she was often left with her mother. he was deployed, however, meaning she was rather scared and even more withdrawn. he returned safely, and stayed with his family for a little while. during his short time, gunner's mother was caught and sentenced for illegally selling prescription drugs. gunner still has her mother's mug shot to remind herself not to grow up and be like that. gunner grew angry at her mother, and even though she was rather tactful and kind, she couldn't help but feel hostile toward her mother. her mother often wrote letters to home, but gunner would never respond. gunner was often picked on at school for her mother's predicament, so she grew quiet and would usually stick to the shadows or sidelines. she was constantly embarrassed of her mother, even though it was such a misdemeanor.

gunner's father decided to send her back to his family's ranch. she basically was revived when she was sent there. she got back into horseback riding, adventuring, so on. she was around four older brothers and seven cousins, two only being girls. she found more comfort with the boys, since they didn't care whether she was a girl or not; they treated her equal without any bias. she was often found wrestling them, throwing a football in the field or going out and exploring the great outdoors with them. she basically acted like a brother, much like her father treated her. she was much of a tomboy and was rarely seen doing any 'girly' things. 'feminine' isn't a big part of her personality traits. during her time on the ranch, they took in a neglected foal whom they named trojan. gunner fell in love at first sight with this animal and took care of him like her child. she renamed him krypton.

soon after, gunner's father was deployed once more. gunner and her family were worried and nervous, but shook it off ("it's an occupational hazard"). many reassured the family, "he's been in the military for fifteen years! he's made it back in one piece everytime! don't worry, he'll be back soon!" they didn't foresee what would be happening soon.

two men showed up at their doorstep in their dress blues. gunner still remembers being in the backyard with her brothers, playing with their dog (who happened to be a military working dog, name pepper), when they looked over and saw the two men walking down the little path. "what are they doing here?" gunner asked her brothers before racing in. they walked in on her aunt crumbled on the floor, the other female holding her while the last uncle tried to keep himself together. gunner immediately recognized one of the men from the base. he only nodded at her and held back tears, before they walked away. gunner and her brothers tried to keep each other up, their cousins trying to help as well. that didn't go well. it was only the beginning of their lives spiraling out of control.

after the funeral, gunner faded into this phase of darkness and stopped eating. she stayed in her room most of the time, slumping in her bed, looking out the window and wishing it would all it. she stopped visiting krypton and hardly even slept. she was extremely malnutritioned. after a while, however, she got back up on her feet and tried to take control of herself again. it was a long and difficult process, much like getting over a drug addiction, but ended up bouncing back up. she underwent grief counseling with her family at the age of 13, and was soon brought back to health after some treatment.

gunner found herself returning to the peaceful life she had before. many often say she overreacted for her father's death, actually, but she usually calmly replies "i know, but you won't know how it feels until you lose one of the last pieces that held your life together".

gunner still suffers from depression and anxiety, but is actually rather happy now. some might not even be able to tell she experienced something traumatic as her father's death (or traumatic as how she collapsed after his death).

- chronophobia, the fear of time and it's little despicable habits of throwing everyone off course.

otherwise, gunner has a strange fear of that in-between state of sleep and consciousness, where dreams mix with reality and the outside world fades away. gunner periodically wakes up throughout the night during this state, often referred to as rapid eye movement, and will struggle with going back to sleep.
she has another fear of having to be responsible for anyone and that person (or those people) end up getting hurt or killed.

aside from the obvious power of shape shifting into the form of a dog, a golden retriever to be specific, addison also possess the minimal ability to control light. often referred to as photokinesis, she can alter the shape, speed, amount and colour of the light in short bursts. though if addison continues to use this gift for long periods of time, she tends to pass out in sheer exhaustion.

addison's height has her a good head above most girls, standing at five foot and eight inches, but most of her height is due a pair of long, slender legs. with a shortened torso, her legs appear to be never ending with her just about the height of a runway model. she lacks in the curves department with a small chest and bum, with her shoulders and hips of near to equal proportion. her lithe figure is mainly due to the main activities she takes part in such as running and yoga, both of which she finds therapeutic.

addison skin tone is naturally one that is only just dark enough to avoid burning if out in the sun for extended periods of time. a golden-hue coats her tanned body, the skin tone darkened from hours spends outdoors. her skin, has for the most part, remained unblemished with only a few scars that litter her skin along with a handful of moles scattered across her body.

addie's face is rounded, more delicate and younger looking compared to those with a sharpened face. her almond shaped eyes are cognac in colour, a colour almost golden brown and framed by a pair of thick, dark lashes. her lips are voluminous and plump, darkened rose in colour. the bridge of addison's nose is narrow, widening out as it comes to the tip that upturns slightly at the end. to finish off is the locks of dirty blonde hair, only lightened further by the sun, that falls past her chest in shaggy layers.

despite her seemingly 'masculine' name, addison is anything but, displaying many feminine traits though she may be mocked and teased simply because of her first name. but because of her confidence, she has the ability to ignore most of this and show them what she really is like. a natural extrovert, she is quick to befriend those around her like a light to a moth, she naturally dreams people in with a big smile and cordial aura. she creates an everlasting relationship within the first few minutes of meeting someone and it doesn't take long for addison to be spilling her heart out to people, even strangers, that she trusts.

addison grew up in a seemingly 'perfect' family, a pair of hardworking yet nurturing, middle-class parents and a brother who fitted the stereotypical over-protective sibling mould perfectly. she has a firm position within her tight-knit friendship circle, popular enough to be known by people yet nowhere near to being a queen bee of the school. she drifted through the problems that life threw at her with ease, but that sort on tranquility could only last so long.

at the age of thirteen was when everything took a turn for the worst for addie. the moment when she progressed away from childhood and closer to adulthood, when her hormones were raging, clouding her vision with irrational thoughts. but she wasn't the only one acting up. her older brother, micheal, decided it was time to leave, heading overseas to start a new life which practically tore his mother's heart in two. despite all the begs and pleads from his fm silt, micheal has made up his mind and a few weeks later he had gone. though this coach dance may not seem all that terrible, it was the aftermath left behind that had the family in pieces.

it didn't take long for arguments to start, at first over the fact that micheal had left, her parents simmering rage had addison on edge around them all as she only say back and watched her perfect world come crashing down around her. her parents first started arguing over major things but things sent on a downwards spiral, everything building up until they argued ever the simplest of things that anyone else wouldn't bat an eye lid too. tension in the house had the young girl walking on eggshells, afraid one wrong move would lead to the collapse of her parents marriage.

fortunately, she wasn't the cause for it all, coming home knew what from school to see her father moving his possessions out of the home. from then onwards, it was her and her mother, the occasional visit to her father's only brought along guilt and shame of what had unfolded in front of her all too quickly. after this, addison made it almost her life's mission to fix the broken-hearted.
