SunClan Runemaster - information - bodies - battle tags

His first duty in his return to leadership, one he didn't want to have to carry out. The small feline had gathered countless flowers, placing them around where the funeral would be held. Tears still stinging at tired eyes as he tried to avoid crying. It still hadn't hit him, just how awful the scenario was. The emotions coming to him in waves. He wanted to burn down whatever the cause was, but the new Runemaster knew to hold back. SunClan was in no position to fight, though he would make sure they would be soon enough. Grief was an incentive for payback, something he was sure most of his clanmates wanted. A man of planning, Boo would go through this as thoroughly as possible. But not today. A day of respect. Of mourning. Boo still felt numb, unable to catch up to what had happened. Vanillatwilight was really gone.

The Runemaster had scrawled his speech out where he stood, hoping someone would be willing to read it for him. Knowing that even if he was able to speak, he didn't think he would have been able to say the words.

Lillir would wander over carefully, a little blue rose held carefully in her mouth. It was all she could do for the deceased. She didn't know Vanillatwilight, but by gauging everyone's reaction to her death; the little unicorn just knew that she was someone incredibly important. Someone that was terrible to lose.

So she stood there, the rose in her mouth, as she stared at the ground. She didn't really want to speak, and even if she did she wouldn't know what to say. Who had killed Vanillatwilight? Was it the Exiles? Another enemy clan? If it was the Exiles, that would make Lillir feel worse. Guilty, even.

The passing of Vani. Out of all that had happened recently - the raids, the captures, the difficulties coping with it all as a whole - this just had to happen, didn't it? Pisces couldn't even begin to explain his sadness. She'd been such a fantastic leader as well as friend to everyone. She'd never failed to serve those who needed her and much more. He just wished her destiny didn't have to be this, out of all things - Losing life to such a tragic concept. A newfound loathe had already begun to build up towards The Exiles, and he knew he wasn't alone.

The young jackal shuffled over to the funeral area with his head bowed in silence and his tail drooping. His pawsteps were small and lighthearted, making his approach a little slow. He was too deeply engulfed in sadness to bother to move along faster. People could weave around them if he was in the way. At least the Clan was in good hands now with Boo as leader - He knew what he was doing, and Pisces personally trusted him and his knowledge.

No matter what she did, she was amazing at it. She was always so sweet, a natural leader, and a great inspiration. Surely everyone else would agree that Vani was one of the best Runemasters they could ever have. But now she was gone, but they would never forget her.

Rainbowveins padded over to the funeral, remaining silent as she sat down with her head hung low. If the female said that she wasn't in a state of grief, she'd be lying. But really, who wasn't when their biggest role model passed away? Rainbow looked up to Vani a lot. She could hardly imagine Sunclan in life without her. The Master Illusionist stayed slightly to the back, still unable to process the death of their beloved leader.

He felt horrid. Barnes knew he was apart of the military branch, but they hadn't been able to save their leader in time. And this only pushed the shepard-mix to try harder in the future. He was normally a light-hearted guy, but now he remained quiet as he pulled up besides his clan-mates.

Keeping his hazel gaze on the ground as the funeral commenced. Vani had been a kind leader, and a kind friend for that matter. But, now, that was all gone. The only sound that was heard from the Weaponsmaster was his dog-tags chiming together in the breeze.

Seeing how the funeral was already being made by his mate, Darius went to slip beside the small figure of the mute runemaster, his face expressionless but somber and dark with grief as well but he wouldn't let tears slip out. He had cried enough when he had seen her and wouldn't dare break down anymore, he never was one to cry even though it may seem like he was a heartless bastard but it was just Darius wasn't one to cry unless it really did hurt him more than he could contain. Vanillatwilight had been a lot more than just their leader, she had been their friend and the laughter cause of many and he wanted to make a speech but knowing that Boo was mute at the moment, the sleek tall dark ginger flame red king cheetah went tot softly brush against the tom and leaned down to whisper in Boo's ear. 'I can read it if you want..." His voice was dull like lead but it still held that small kind touch that he used when he was around the tom. But with the return of Boo's son that brought on a mix of enraged and hurt emotions come tumbling back into his head, Darius was at the moment a bit stoic and off from what he would try to be as a comforting shoulder.

His vibrant clear intense mint lime green gaze flickered towards the growing crowd, wondering how many would come. Hopefully everyone since she was highly important but not just by rank but by respect and friendship that she had with Sunclan.

It's been a long year, sister. he thought, pushing back the awkward feeling that arose in his belly. It was weird, being alone up front like this without either being accompanied by a friend or not really caring about the funeral at all. He actually kind of hoped Gajeel (fuck) was here for him to somewhat lean on, in a totally-trying-not-to-look-pathetic kind of way. He dismissed the thought quickly as quickly as it had appeared.

Vani was here with him- partly physical, partly in spirit.

He had grieved the night after the news had been brought to attention, so he was a little better at handling the funeral than he would've normally been. Leaning against a nearby tree after deciding that maybe it was best to keep to the sidelines, Seafoam patiently waited for the speech to be carried out with the smallest of smiles on his face. "Ah, Je t'aime, Vanillatwilight." he muttered to himself.

Steve drew up alongside Bucky, his expression grim, and he couldn't quite grasp the fact that Vani was dead. That their kind, friendly, and dedicated leader was no more, but it was sinking in as the moments passed in silence, his eyes lowered. Could they have kept this from happening? If they'd tried harder, if he'd pushed, could they have found her before she was murdered? His gaze shuttered beneath squeezed eyelids, the muscles of his jaw working as he tightened them, grinding his teeth together.

This felt wrong, and it felt like a failure, because it was one. He could have done more, but he didn't, and now they were all faced by the death of someone they'd all admired. Steve drew in a breath, his tail pressed into the dirt, paws digging into soft earth. [B]"Goodbye, Vani," the canine murmured softly.

SunClan Runemaster - information - bodies - battle tags

Hearing the sound of Darius' voice, Boo attempted to press himself closer to the other male. He knew they were going through another rough patch, but the Runemaster clearly needed his comfort once more. He needed to explain the situation with his son, that was very much clear. A funeral wasn't the best place to do so though.

"I just hope you know that we will make up for your loss. Rest in piece"

The words were short, but Boo had never been one for a sappy speech. It meant much more for him to say short, honest words. The leader had done so much for her clan, it was a shame her reign was cut short in such a manner. A sickening thought that he was unable to stop going over in his head. The image burned into his memory.

Darius felt the warm soft figure of Boo and slightly relaxed but quickly took a step away to not allow himself to get too emotional. His tall twitched as he heard the others and glanced down at the short but meaningful words of the Runemaster before swallpwding down the lump that had formed in his throat. darius was one to be sappy for speeches but he decided to give Boo's speech first. As he sucked in a deep breathe, he began in a clear but slow steady voice.

"I just hope you know that we will make up for your loss. Rest in piece. Those is Boo's words....

He trailed off as he turned to face towards the flowers and stared for a hit with a faint ghostly smile lacing his lips before the blacksmith turned back to the crowd and decided to give his speech even though he wasn't one to be very authority like. "And these are my words. Vanillatwilight had been a leader and yes she had been more than a leader but that is a little too cliché to give to someone as extraordinary as her. She wasn't what you would call normal or a cookie cutter, she was different and unique in ways we will never get to know or future generations will. And it hurts. We all feel it because we know that she might never come back to us. Not in physical form. We won't be able to see her radiant smile or her contagious laughter, her flawless flaws. But we will not just remember her, we will honor her. We will improve and grow out of her reign into a better reign, we won't fall because she would never want to see us crumble and fall. Vanillatwilight used to he a regular ranked person but even as she rose to power, her humility and kindness never faded from her spirit because she was pure, one that knew what to feel. She helped us when we were at the end of our rope and with her help, we would tie a knot and hold on until things got better. She was a lifesaver and a dreamer, a stunning breathtaking girl, inside and out, with halcyonic dreams that made the twilight times...sweet....like vanilla. She was not just only my partner in crime with silly pranks on glueing horns on someone's head or the shoulder for me to cry on, she was someone that I had the blessing to meet. And I just hope that I will do good out of our relationship because Vanillatwilight was a ray of sunshine that will never stop shining in Sunclan. I will miss you, Vans."

As he finished his speech, Darius sucked in a deep breath and took a step back from the flowers and grave, not realizing that a single silent year had gone down his cheek but he managed to quickly rub it away to make sure no one could have caught it and then cleared his throat and straightened his figure as the blacksmith asked "Does anyone want to give a few words?"

Lillir listened to Darius' words silently, trying desperately not to cry. This proved futile, however, since tears soon streamed down her little cheeks. She couldn't understand the sadness that everyone felt, but she could feel it. Oh, she could feel it.

It was almost as if the air was weighing down on her, and everyone else she assumed. The air had become thick, and it was difficult to breath. Lillir's legs trembled as she fought to stand upright, since she felt as if the air was physically pushing her to the ground. What Darius had said was beautiful... Lil hoped that she would be able to speak like that one day.

She was unable to offer proper words, so she simply wandered forwards. The timid little unicorn placed her blue rose, that she had grown herself using her flower prints, next to the other flowers, and she muttered soothingly, "Namaarie*" Before taking a few steps backwards, to let other people get closer to the grave.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt;width:400px;line-height:12px;text-align:justify]Bran hadn't known the leader, as they never had many interactions with one another. She had been kind, though, giving him a small 'congratulations' at his promotion to blacksmith. He wasn't quite certain on what he would say if he were to say anything. The wolf merely clenched his jaw as he padded closer, observing the flowers along with those gathered. Everyone looked so pale with sorrow and pain. He wore a mask atop his features, blocking out the way he truly felt. In all honesty, he was rather indifferent to the death. He knew nothing of Vanillatwilight, and yet. . .it seemed as though she was important to all those gathered before him. She had been leader, yes, but even as Darius was giving his own speech, Bran continued to feel. . .nothing. He felt so uncomfortable, as he knew it was fallacious to act and feel that way. With a slight frown, the young Stark tore his narrowed gaze from the scene, meekly sitting back on his haunches to hide his facial features. Perhaps he appeared saddened by the loss. He hoped he was covering his false feelings well enough, as he wanted no one to see that he almost didn't care. It was a death, and he did care for that, as she was also a clanmate of theirs.. Brandon felt no ties to her, and perhaps that was why he felt so dreadful.

  • Vani was dead and she hadn't even been here for whatever the final moments had been like! Times like this? Her wander lust was her biggest vice, curse, whatever you would, it kept her from what was important. Well she was showing up to the funeral at least, in a black kimono to boot, no trace of color on the clothing, because funerals were white or black, and Vani deserved the white. It was, Kagura, to say something about it, three fingered hands together.

She'd lost someone else, which was not to uncommon considering her traveler life, she wouldn't be able to come back to Sun Clan for a while without seeing who should have been there; Not just Vani either but all the other old dead sun clanners whose funerals she hadn't made.

Gajeel would move silently through the crowd, careful not to nudge the mourners as he came to a quiet stop beside Seafoam. He had never formed an emotional connection with Vanillatwilight so he wouldn't speak, only silently offer her peace and rest in her afterlife. As much as he tried to keep himself in the correct mindset for the funeral, his mind went to their enemies and how their next move had to be one of strength. [/fancypost]

The bloke had surprised him; he had expected the weaponmaster to either be with his friend or not show in the first place, so it was more of a pleasant surprise than anything else. However, the Warlord was too detached physically for him to push up against Gajeel like the others did when seeking emotional comfort from their potential partner (which Gajeel wasn't, in this case) so he instead nodded his head. Acknowledging that someone was here for him was enough to satisfy the beast inside.

Listening to the speech, he debated on speaking or not. It would probably not end well for anyone nearby, though- Seafoam would most likely swear like a sailor as he spoke of his best friend. Which was probably not the best way to continue a funeral, even if it would certainly leave a lasting impression.
