    Hi there! Welcome to this brand new Pokemon Roleplay thread. This Roleplay will focus on new trainers beginning their journey throughout the Kanto region! Below are the rules:

      [li]All FeralFront rules apply.[/li]
      [li]For your starter Pokemon, please keep it to actual starters only (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Mudkip, etc.). Pikachu falls under this category, as well.[/li]
      [li]No godding/being overpowered.[/li]
      [li]Shiny Pokemon are allowed, but only one Shiny per trainer.[/li]
      [li]Mega Stones & Evolutions are allowed, but only one per trainer.[/li]
      [li]One Legendary is permitted per trainer, but we will wait until further in the "journey" to encounter any legendaries. You can hint at the appearance of legendaries (ex. John looks up and sees a small, pink creature in the trees. He goes to get a better look, but the creature flies away quickly), but no full-on encounters until later.[/li]
      [li]Wait until I approve of your forum to start roleplaying.[/li]
      [li]During gym battles, another user will be the gym leader (ex. Warriors100 as their trainer, Bradley, battles PokemonBattleGuy123 as the Cinnibar Island gym leader, Blaine.). This also goes for Elite Four & Champion, and Frontier Brains.[/li]

    Goal: To become champion, to find his dad, and travel to Hoenn
    About: Mike was born to Kathleen Stevenson (née Barkley) and an unknown father. When Mike was 6, his father left on the back of his Pidgeot. Mike later found a note written to his mother, from his father, saying that he was headed to Littleroot Town in Hoenn. Ever since then, Mike has always wanted to become a trainer, and then go to Hoenn in search of his father. His mother, and grandmother, Nancy Barkley, are both against the idea. But his grandfather, Joseph Barkley, always told him to follow his dreams no matter what.
    Family: Unknown Father (who left to travel to Hoenn), Kathleen Stevenson (mother), Nancy and Joseph Barkley (grandparents who live in Saffron City)
    Personality: Mike is normally a very laid-back person, who naturally gets along with everyone. Mike is also a jokester, and is also very caring. However, he has anger issues, and if something goes wrong, his mood can change with the blink of an eye.

    Mike finished packing the belongings he planned on bringing with him on his journey.


    "Are you sure you want to do this?" His mom asked anxiously.


    Mike snorted. "I'll be fine, Mom. I'm going to get all the badges, defeat the Elite Four, become Champion, and then I'll go to Hoenn to find Dad!"


    His mom sighed. "Fine. Just be sure to call me when you get to Viridian, and remember to visit your grandparents in Saffron."


    Mike nodded, glancing over at Charmander, who sat by his feet. "Ready, buddy?"


    "Char!"


    Mike smiled, picking up Charmander and putting him on his shoulder. "Bye, Mom!" He called behind him, rushing out the door.

    Age: Fifteen years old

    Home Region: Originally from Hoenn, but moved to Kanto after her father got a new job there
    Goal: To travel the Kanto region (and move on to the other regions), meet a lot of pokémon, and hopefully become Champion as well.
    About: Riley's mother was a famous, yet retired pokémon coordinator and her father is a pokémon researcher. As much as Riley sort of liked the idea of being a pokémon coordinator, she was much more interested in pokémon battles and the pokémon themselves. Riley spent most of her free time with her father and learned a lot about pokémon and pokémon battling with him. When Riley turned five years old, she became an older sister to Lucy. Lucy was the exact opposite of Riley and they fought a lot, but they still care for each other. When she became thirteen years old, she was told by her mother that they were going to move to the Kanto region, thanks to her father's new job there. Riley was disappointed, as she always imagined that she would have her journey in Hoenn, but she agreed to it anyway. Two years later after moving to Kanto, she's beginning her pokémon journey and ready to achieve her dreams.
    Family: Tara Aricole (mother), Harvey Aricole (father), and Lucy Aricole (younger sister)
    Personality: Riley is a hyperactive, adventurous, tenacious, and a rather tomboyish girl. She's rather eccentric and it doesn't take much to get her to laugh (whether it's at you or with you), but she can be rather sassy, as she's prone to making rude and sassy remarks. Her overall demeanor is someone who's bright, energetic, sometimes rude, and always willing to have an adventure. On the inside, it seems to be a little bit darker there. Riley seems to be a very stubborn person and she's emotionally and mentally sensitive, and so it's very easy for her to hold a grudge. She is also shown to be rather insecure about herself and could sometimes take drastic (and most of the time, awful) decisions just to prove herself to others. If you ask her younger sister, Lucy would say that Riley would need constant approval from everyone in order to stay secure. Riley holds a lot of pride, but it wouldn't take much to knock that pride down.

    Home Region: Kanto
    Goal: To become champion and travel the world
    About: Taylor lived in Kanto her whole life. Her parents were traveling trainers who were always off in faraway regions. She stayed at home with her older brother, until she received a Fennekin from her parents, who were visiting Kalos. She then decided to leave home and follow in her parents footsteps.
    Family: Her brother, Kyle Tennant, and her parents, Mark and Kayla Tennant
    Personality: Taylor is outgoing, and will do anything for her friends. She's always in a rush to see new things, and meet new people. She isn't too confident in her skills as a trainer yet, but she would never give up.
    Starter: Fennekin

    "And you promise to call me when you make it to Pewter City?"
    "For the hundredth time, yes! I'm not a little kid anymore!" Taylor sighed to her overprotective brother. "I'll see you later."
    "Stay safe!" Her brother yelled, as the door to their house closed.
    She laughed as she walked to the edge of town. Finally, some adventure! Nothing much happens in a small town like Pallet, so something like a region-wide trip was extremely exciting. Taylor pulled out her map and studied it as she walked to Route 1.

    Mike was walking down the route when he saw a Spearow.


    "Cool, a Spearow!" He commented softly. He glanced toward his shoulder. "Hey Charmander, you ready?"


    "Char!" Charmander replied happily.


    Mike nodded. "Alright, Charmander. Use Scratch!"

    Taylor looked up from her map to see a large expanse of grass. "So this is Route 1?" She asked herself. "It's a bit bigger than I remember..." She slowly took her first step into the new area. 'Oh! Is that a Pokemon battle?' she thought to herself, watching a boy roughly her age and a Charmander face off against a Spearow. 'I guess I should go watch and learn a bit!'

    The Spearow skidded to the ground, then getting back up and preparing for a Sand-Attack.


    "Dodge it, and use Scratch, again!" Mike commanded.


    The Charmander managed to avoid the attack, and then came back in to scratch it's opponent. The Spearow fell to the ground.


    "Nice!"

    "Great job!" Taylor said excitedly. "Hi, I'm Taylor. I saw most of that battle. You're pretty good!" She pulled her Fennekin's Pokéball out of her bag. "I'm a trainer too, just started!"

    "Aw, he's so cute!" Taylor said, crouching to get a good look. As she stood back up, she tossed her Pokéball in the air, and Fennekin appeared beside her. "This is my Fennekin. Hey, we both have fire types!"
