Bravepaw watched unblinking, and meowed "wow! that was so cool!" after his mentor was finished showing him the proper way to hunt. He crouched down as low as he could, trying to immitate what he just saw, and pounced quickly, landing lightly on a leaf. "like that?"

Bravepaw puffed out his chest. "what next?"

"uh o-ok" he mewed nervously. He padded a couple fox-length behind tigerheart and started planning his attack. He guessed he should leave his claws unsheathed, to prevent any injuries. He started to creep up slowly. He Batted tigerhearts left shoulder, then dart to the right and batted his other shoulder, then sprang to the front where he attempted to pin tigerheart down.

Bravepaw jumped over tigerheart, batting his ears as he went. He spin around and darted forward to gently nip tigerhearts tail. He jumped over tigerheart once more, and flipped midair to try pinning him down again.

ooc: lol sorry! when i see "tiger" i think "tigerstar". oops.

ic: "i did it!" bravepaw cellabrated. He had caught his first catch AND pinned down his mentor on the first day! "she must be a great mentor!" he thought.

Splashheart bolted into the camp. "Wavestar, come quick!" she called out. she scanned the area for Wavestar. "Dogs! There are dogs, a whole pack, coming! We have to get out!"

"They spotted me hunting by the training clearing, and I steered them towards the stream, but they saw me go this direction! it is not safe here! We have to get the clan out. I'll try to distract the dogs, and lead them away. Try to get the clan somewhere high. In the trees is perfect!" she mewed quickly.

Splashheart darted out of the camp and scented the air. the dogs were getting close. She jumped as a bark split the air. She saw he bushes part, and a pack of dogs ran at her. She yowled and jumped as far as she coul over them, scratching the leader as she went. She started sprinting towards the swamps.

Bravepaw ran along with the clan. When he got to the tree, he realized he didn't know how to climb one! He watched as other cats used their back claws to heave themself up the bark, putting their forepaws in clefts in the tree. He attempted it once, and failed. He tried again, and again. but couldn't get up. "wavestar! i don't know how to climb!" he yowled.

Splashheart heard the dog pack getting closer, until the leader's hot breathe was on her flank. She ran even faster, and finally got to the bogs. She knew of a sandy spot that sucked things in, and didn't let them back out. She had almost died in it as a kit. She jumped over it and waited, praying to starclan it would work. The leader was right over the sand, and ran right over it without difficulty. She yowled and sprinted again. "Starclan help me!"

Bravepaw jumped on the log and started to climb. He got to the tip, and started to climb the actual tree. He almost slipped, but caught his balance. He pushed with his hind legs and finally got to the first branch. "I did it! Thanks for the help!"
