  • Maylily waited at the clearing for Firefoot to hurry up. She sat down, tucking in her paws, watching and waiting for the cat, so they can go on hunting.

  • Firefoot padded through the woods, sensing the world around him. He hadn't been out hunting for a while and decided it was time to stretch his paws. "Hi Maylily," he meowed as he stepped into the clearing. "Fine day for hunting, is it not?"

  • Maylily nodded in agreement, and gazed at Firefoot for a quick second, before blushing away. "Lets, lets just go.." she muttered, racing out of the den.

  • Maylily streamed in the heather, straight off to the Rabbit Valley. She turned her head to see if Firefoot was catching up. "Hurry up, you old slugball!" she purred with amusement, whiskers twitching at the touch of the heather on her face.

ooc- srry bout the poor rping, can't say much till we actually hunt O.O

  • Firefoot's eyes lit up at this remark. "Oh no you don't," he meowed running a little faster to catch up with her. He didn't expect to be getting this much exercise so early in the morning.

  • Maylily tripped and squealed as Firefoot fastly approached her. She flipped over weakly, and kept racing through the heather.

  • Firefoot laughed, hearing Maylily's squeal. He batted at her playfully when they came into an area where there were few trees. "This seems as good a place as any to hunt," Firefoot meowed, sniffing around for prey.

  • Maylily finished purring with amusement and stood firmly on the ground, her serious expression on her face. "It's still leaf-bare..." she remarked, kicking up some frost, "So we have to be super care full running on this frosty ground..." Maylily's ears pricked and heard something peculiar. She dropped down low, getting upwind on the sound. A warm smell drifted through her nostrils. She literally glided across the ground, moving fast, but slow, trying not to make a sound. Something Leapt at her, something brown and white, and it kicked at her face, dashing the other way. She scrambled to her paws to give in chase, running like all Leapordclan would. Maylily sctretched out to reach the rabbit, but she slipped and fell on a icy puddle. "Mouse-dung!" she spat, getting up on her paws. "Firefoot... im over hear.." she muttered irratably.

  • Firefoot's eyes lit up when he heard Maylily's call for help. He rushed over to her, fast as if he were catching a rabbit and helped her up out of the puddle she'd splashed into. At the moment she looked up at him with her shimmering green eyes, he stopped almost hypnotized by their beauty. Then he remembered himself and continued helping her up. "Are you alright?" Firefoot asked nervously to the shecat.

  • Maylily grumbled, "I lost prey, and im wet and cold, you tell me..." she flickered her gaze down, to hid her feelings for Firefoot. "Err, look a rabbit!" she indicated with her tail, then sprinted after it. She lost all the pain that maylily got from slipping, and feeding her clan with plump rabbits raced through her mind. Maylily leapt and expertly caught it. A black bird shrieked away, but Maylily was too quick for the bird. Leaping up, and slashing her claws at the wing, it fell miserably. Maylily quickly gave it the death blow. "2 for one!" she meowed happily, but her rabbit was skinny, the bird wasn't in great shape either.

  • "Nice catch," Firefoot meowed, padding after her to see her prey. He caught a whiff of another rabbit and turned his head to see it deep in the undergrowth, hiding. He went into a hunters crouch and stalked the prey, careful of his footing...for he knew a rabbit could hear you before smelling you. Then the rabbit caught scent of him and he dashed after it, tracking it all the way to the moor. He leapt on top of it and killed it with a bite to the neck. He brought it's limp body back to Maylily, trying to look really impressive in front of her. "It's just a thin one...but it'll feed a couple kits, i'm sure," Firefoot meowed, gesturing to the dead rabbit with a shrug.

  • Maylily's eyes widend. "Wow! He's plumpier than my rabbit," she meowed cheerily. "Let's caught 1 or 2 more? If there's any left.." Maylily grumbled, staring at the sky. "Before Sun-high?" The sun was rising, the warmth brushing her fur. "At least there's no snow!" she mewed happily, and went back to hunting. Maylily stood on top of a boulder overlooking the rabbit hill. A mouse scuttled at the bottom of the rock. Watching it's every move, the mouse was nibbling on seed. She leapt on it, not used to hunting mice, but the mouse scuttled into a hole in the rock, and she spat with rage. A rabbit hopped away, but Maylily was fast enough this time. The rabbit nearly collided into the tree, buying a split second of time to leap on it, catching the skinny prey. She padded over to Firefoot, ears laid back. Placing down the prey, she gazed at Firefoot. "I think we caught enough food..." she purred, her green eyes shimmering. The sun was reflecting off her light tan brown fur, and she wanted to impress Firefoot, trying hard herself.

  • Firefoot smiled when he saw Maylily's green eyes flash. "Yes," he meowed almost in a daze, "it's enough food." Then he seemed to have woken up from his daydream and he helped Maylily to pick up all the prey they had caught. "So umm...Maylily? Do you have a mate or a family somewhere?" he asked wanting to find out anything he could about this beautiful cat.

  • "The closest friends I have are Ocelotfur, and Cougarclaw. Cougarclaw is too aggressive and rough, I just can't like him, so we stayed friends. And I haven't had a litter of kits yet, even though... well..." she trated off meowing, but turned into a softer mew, " Ihave yet to find a attractive cat, other than you..." she purred, eyes glancing away at the tom, embarrased. She picked up her rabbit and bird, since Firefoot gathered the other 2 rabbits, and padded off with the tom.

  • "Attractive, eh?" Firefoot meowed, mostly to himself. "But you have thought about taking a mate some day," he meowed picking up his own catch and trotting alongside her.

  • "I have, and well..." she mewed softly, eyes trying to drift away from his face, "I don't know, I think I found the right cat.." she purred softer.

  • "Oh," Firefoot meowed, disappointedly. "Well I hope you and he will have a...great life together," he lied trying not to let his emotions show. He looked up to the sky, knowing he was a senior warrior and it probably wouldn't be long before he was to be made an elder and then join Starclan. Was he truly destined to be single his whole life?

OOC: So sad...he doesn't know it's him! XD
