Silentpaw is a hard-to-read, somewhat taciturn male, with a quiet and cunning nature that some might find rather arcane. He is certainly not the kind of cat to wear his heart on his sleeve, often struggling to properly express himself, but will begin to warm up to those who invest deeply enough to befriend him. Beneath his elusive exterior, he is actually quite playful, and affectionate. This apprentice is very attentive and observant, frequently noticing details most cats would tend to skim over. Silentpaw's keen mentality aids him in circumstances that call for quick wit. He usually maintains a level-headed demeanor, but does possess a temper that makes its statement from time to time. He can grow hostile and aggressive if he's in a bad mood, and is quick to snap at things at annoy him passed his boiling point. He often bottles up his feelings, as mentioned before, which doesn't exactly aid in keeping his temper tamed.

History:
Silentpaw was born the oldest of a small litter of three; alas, none of his younger siblings made it through their first moon. His parents weren't the most ideal matches for mates, for their age and bodies were beginning to wear down with age. Some thought their first litter had come rather late in life- they were even further concerned at the announcement of their second on the way. As expected, there were complications with the delivery- kittens were either too sickly, or too weak to survive, with the exception of Silentpaw. He grew up with a mother and father wrapped in grief for the loss of their children, and was ultimately disciplined and taught by an older brother, Swiftstrike. He admires his brother deeply, and though they don't outwardly express their warmth for each other, they do both share a mutual and silent, inviolable bond.

Swiftstrike is calculating and ambitious tomcat. He is an extrovert, and unlike his kin has no difficulty entering a gregarious situation. Charismatic and cunning, this warrior takes a great pride in himself, but with that comes a tendency to behave impulsively, and act before he thinks. Swiftstrike can be awkward in expressing his feelings, and is rather sensitive about his reputation, often growing defensive if someone begins to insult or point out his wrongs to him. In most cases, he'll realize his faults himself, and silently aim to correct them without stating this to anyone else. He is very protective of his loved ones, especially his younger brother, Silentpaw, although he doesn't exactly manifest this.i

History:
Swiftstrike was born the first son to an older couple, but despite the Clan's uneasy concerns about his delivery, everything went smoothly. He was an only kit, and had no siblings until many moons later, when his parents once again decided to raise another litter. However, things did not go as simple as his kitting did- in the end, only one kitten survived, and was named Silentkit, in respect that even he seemed silent in the shadow of his lost siblings. With his parents mourning, Swiftstrike took it upon himself to nurture and stand as a guardian for his young brother. He watched as his brother began to grow and develop, and couldn't shake the pride he felt in Silentpaw to see him coming together so nicely, even after his dim beginning. Though he doesn't openly show it, he would lay down his life for his brother, without even a moment's hesitance.
