  • Selene shook her head " I'm sorry no, I only get a bit with that enough to maintain my illusions for the day really or do one defensive attack that wouldn't have much a punch to it."

  • "That's fine, m'- Selene," He said, catching himself before finishing the word that would stop her from ever kissing him ever again. " I can deal with the pain. At least for a while."

  • Selene lowered her gaze for a moment " I'm sorry I can't be much of help at the moment. I honestly don't like being so helpless."

  • Selene raised her gaze back to him with a small smile " I promise I'll full fill your wish, it's the least I can do...but at this moment I'd like to order something to eat. I'm starving."

  • Selene looked over the menu one more time before nodding happily "That's what I'll have then, pancakes it is, with strawberry jam!"

  • "I'll get you those then," He said and got up to walk over to the counter. When he'd gotten the attention of a cook, he ordered pancakes with strawberry jam for her, and blueberry pancakes with huckleberry syrup for him. Then he walked back to join her in their wait.

  • Selene watched Sarial leave to place their order but her attention went back to the window. Watching as the humans walked by with their care free lives only small things to worry about. None of the humans would never know what it was like to basically be forced into a marriage to a man she didn't love, or have her family fight over her wanting her be the heir for their kingdom. Oh yes that's right she isn't just the heir to the Eastern Kingdom but to the Western Kingdom as well.

  • He took his seat across from her again, and almost said something to take her out of her thoughts, but changed his mind. The silence between them was as welcome change from the noise around them, and he drifted into his own thoughts, the first and foremost of which was how in hell he was supposed to keep her safe.

  • When the food was finally brought to their table Selene snapped out of her thoughts looking to the waitress with a smile. "Thank you." she said as she took the plate that was offered to her and the strawberry syrup. Selene started to pour her syrup over the pancakes, when she was satisfied with the amount on them she placed it aside and started to cut away small bite size pieces so she didn't get it everywhere.

  • "So the question is, what next?" He asked, drowning his pancakes in maple syrup. "There are a few things we could do, but I'll defer to you in this instance."

  • Selene took a few more bites of her pancakes before anwsering. " Well you said you would show me around. I would still like to do that. I've only gotten to see the human world once in person and plenty of times in my mirrior that I mostly used to talk to my uncle specially these last 6 months. He's been over in the human world a lot but he has never told me why."

  • "Then I'll show you around the city," He said, filing away her fact for a while. "We've got a couple lakes around here, I'll show you them if you like," He added, offering her a smile before taking a bite of his pancakes.

  • Selene nodded to him happily. " That be great, I'd like to see them." She continued eating only stopping to take a sip from her glass of chocolate milk. Eventually she finished pushing the plate away slightly. " Ok I'm full now. Those were the best Sariel"

  • "Told you so," He said, giving her a smile as he finished his own food. Then he rose to his feet, and offered her a hand up. "Ready to go?"

  • Selene nodded to him as she reached out to take his hand. She stood from her chair pushing it back under the table with her free hand. Her attention quickly returning to him as she looked up to him with a smile. " Lead the way."

  • He nodded, and waved slightly to one of the cooks as he lead the way out. "It's kind of a far walk, Selene, halfway across the town. Would you like to take a bus, or does walking suit you?"

  • Selene looked up at the sky for a moment thinking about it. " I would rather walk honestly. I will be able to see more that way, plus I don't want to end up embarrassing you acting all silly on one of those things...I've never ridden in one before."

  • "Alright, that sounds good to me," He said, and looking down, he noticed he was still holding her hand. "Walkings a lot safer sometimes," he added, deciding that he would keep holding her hand until she told him to stop.
