  • **Plot**
The daughter of the Queen of the Faires wants nothing to do with the intrigues of Court life. She'd prefer to cut loose at a punk club, knock back a few Thai beers and hook up with a likely lad of similar interests, But when Selene Moonglow goes AWOL, passing through the gates that separate the Fairy world to the human world she only gets as far as Manhattan's Central Park before a nasty demon nearly puts a permanent crimp in her plans till a dark stranger comes to her rescue...

All work and no play make (your charries name) one cranky were-wolf. After six months of doing his part to keep peace during the delicate negotiations between the Others (supernatural beings of the human world) and humankind, he'd like nothing more than to just sleep. But on his way home cutting through the park he finds a woman in trouble fighting her life against a demon. (Your charries name) takes action and steps in helping the woman.

    Name-Selene Moonglow
Age- Appears 21 but far far older than that.
(If my pic doesn't show let me know my computer is being stupid at the moment.)

Selene walked into the room that held the gate that separated the fairy world and the human world. Quitly shutting the door behind her so no one might notice her in there she walked over to a large stone arch way that was in the middle of the room. Her mother had been pressuring her to marry the suitor her mother had picked out for her, but Selene wanted nothing to do with the idea. All she wanted was to go out and have fun not play the wife scene.

Selene raised her hand up to the gate and an imagine appeared within the arch way, it was Centeral Park. She started to smile she wanted to escape her life as princess and go out and enjoy just being normal for once. As she took a stepped toward the gate her lovely silken dress disappeared being replaced with a black halter top dress that flaired out slightly at her waist stopping just a bit before her knees, black lace up cafe high heeled boots and a few small spiked bracelets to complete the look. Now that she looked the part as someone going to a more darker type club she stepped through the gate. Only did she know she was about to have a very nasty welcoming party.

The moment Selene stepped on the other side of the gate she was greeted by large fire demon. She froze from fright, it was something you didn't see no where at any time. Demons just didn't come up for the fun of it, they were summoned. When the demon threw it's first punch at Selene all she had time for was to throw her arms up to block the punch but it was so powerful that it sent her falling into a nearby tree.

Selene hit the tree hard, knocking the wind from her. She knew if she passed out she would be a goner. Selene somehow managed to get to feet before the demon started to charge for her.

    Name: Sariel
Age: looks 21, but is actually over seventy

Six months, that's how long he'd been patrolling, watching for any threats to the humans, and in some cases, making sure the Other's an the humans stayed away from each other. God they were like pups sometimes, but it was done, his six months where up, and he could go home for a while, before he had to head back to his job. Suddenly, he sensed something, and looked up, the chain on his neck rattling softly as it bumped against the other stone around his neck. He scented the air, and growled softly at the scent of brimstone before running towards it.

  • (Ok you have to tell me the name of that song on your profile I just love it!)

The demon clasped it's large hand around Selene digging it's nails in the tree behind her as it lowered itself to her level letting out a terrible roar. Selene let out a scream as the demon pinned her to the tree as she fought to get one of her arms free, finally she did. She placed her hand on the demon as she looked at the demon and saying a few simple words in her native tongue. Light radiated from her hand and engulfed the demon like a flash bomb. The spell wasn't powerful enough to kill the demon but at least stun it long enough to make it loosen it's grip on her so she could free herself.

The stun spell didn't last long though the moment Selene started to flee the large fire demon grabbed her by her feet throwing her into a tree. If she was a normal human this would have killed her luckily she wasn't human it just made her pass out.

  • (It's Blood of the Moon, by Woodland, and thanks, it's one of my favourites.)

Sariel saw her flung into the tree, and snarled, feeling his bones break and grow as he switched from a dark haired man to brown furred wolf. Then he flung himself towards the demon, not caring about the flames that licked at his coat. He was determined to save the woman, or at the very least, prolong her existence for as long as possible.

  • (I'm in love now! It's going on my top favorite songs!)

Selene didn't stay out for long her vision was blurred from the impact but she could tell someone or something was there fighting the demon. Determined to end this she yelled to the stranger " Keep him off me for a few mins. I'll get rid of him just by me time.!" Quickly Selene ripped the spiked bracelets from her wrist, she turned them upside down stabbing herself into the hand cursing as she did this. With her hand bleeding freely Selene proceed to create a spell circle on the ground with her blood. It was blood magic and not something normally a fairy would use but in this instance she had no choice it was the only thing she could think of to get rid of the demon.

  • "As you wish," He snarled, dropping away before the arm he was gripping flung him into the ground. Then he leaped again, lashing out with his claws as he snapped at the demon's neck. He hadn't been expecting the demon to move out of his way, though, and staggered, barely regaining his balance before he was flung against a tree with enough force to shake it. With a howl of pain, he launched himself at the beast again, and swung, connecting with it's chest.

  • Selene completed the circle laying her bleeding hand palm down in the center as she chanted a few words in her language. The ground began to shake violently and what looked like something very large in several directions slithering very quickly beneath the earth toward the demon as the ground cracked from 'creatures' approaching the demon. The ground opened up revealing large tree roots, the roots quickly grabbed the demon squeezing it till it fell apart into a pile of rumble. With the demon dead the spell dissipated and the ground returned to normal like nothing ever happened. Selene on the other hand had passed out again from using up to much of her magic, the illusion of her being some normal girl shattered revealing her true self as she laid there passed out on the ground.

  • Sariel staggered as the demon fell, and tried to let go of the rage rushing through him, the only thing preventing him from changing back as he turned to look at the woman. Rage was replaced with surprise when he recognized who it was, and he sighed, padding over to bind her wounds. "That was nearly very costly," He murmured, changing back to a human.

  • Selene stirred looking up to the stranger her vision still bothering her from her impact with the tree. " How long was I out?" she asked as she sat up slowly not realizing her illusion of a normal girl was gone. Her normal reaction would be to jerk her hand away but she didn't she was glad for the help at that moment.

  • "Five minutes, maybe longer," He said, offering her a smile. "You took quite a risk, coming to this realm, fair one," He added, letting her know he knew her race. "Why'd you come?"

  • Selene quickly checked herself the best she could to find the illusion gone. She let out a sigh of annoyance " Well there goes being normal and fitting in." Selene looked up to the man " I wanted to get away from my mothers constant assault of the same topic of marriage and just enjoy being normal for once."

  • "Human's aren't normal," He said, with a soft sigh, finishing his job on her hand and leaning back to inspect it. "They don't eat with their fingers, and the only loyalty they have is to their packs they call family, but that doesn't always last." He looked up at her and offered her a crooked smile. "You'll need a friend to help you."

  • Selene looked at her hand for a moment before turning her gaze back to the man. " Well their world is more fun than court life. Having to hide behind a constant mask gets tiresome and sometimes you forget your true self." She shook her head " I'm sorry where are my manners. I'm Selene Moonglow what's you're name?"

  • "Sariel," He said, offering her a smile. "It's an honour to meet you," He added, as he rose, and stretched. "The army is much like that too, boredom and masks broken up by brief bits of mortal terror."

  • "Sariel? I like that name" she said as she smiled brightly but it quickly went away. " I guess I should return home. I've caused enough trouble, I just don't understand why there was fire demon at the gates entrance..they don't just come up for the fun of it. They are summoned beasts."

  • "No, don't return home," He said, holding out a hand to stop her from getting up. "You're wounded, and should get some rest. I've done the best for your cut, but it might fester, and I'd like to take care of that if it happens." He didn't tell her what he was really thinking. If the demon was summoned, than it was waiting for someone in the Court, and he wanted to find out who.

  • " Well I guess one night wont hurt, I wasn't planning on going home till tomorrow anyway before the demon attacked." Also it didn't help she wouldn't be able to open the door again anyway in her current state. She had used up all her magical energy and she was no powerless and would remain so as long as she was in the human world. The flow of energy from her world was so different, easy to obtain from it's raw source, but in the human world it was like it was covered up in many layers to the point of non existence. She didn't know how she was going to return home unless she was missed at court and they come looking for her.

  • "Unless you have duties at court, highness," He said, and paused, unsure how to phrase what he was going to say. Then he sighed, and offered her a smile. "One night is far too short to learn about humans, in fact, you won't even learn about them in a year." He was lying about the year part, but he wanted to keep her from her home for a while.
