    Mudspots started to follow the leader, but scented a bird and made a quick detour to catch it. She padded to the rest of the patrol and followed, with the bird hanging from her mouth.

    Firepaw woke up stretching she looked over at Birchkit and nudged her gently "Birchkit are you hungry?"

    The kitten was fast asleep, she looked like she would be asleep forever until the shecat had nudged her awake; as soon as though, the kitten stretched her limbs, yawning in the process. "A little.."[i] The kitten said, curling up next to the apprentice again.
