I look at newcomer, watching the interaction between her and Alice. Great.. Another one. I stand up and set my empty teacup in the sink. I turn slightly and look at Dru, and nod my head slightly, motioning for her to come over. I run my hand through my bangs, which had finally dried.

I started hearing commotion in the hallway, they were panicking. It's risky to move the Test Subjects, especially during a storm. My hair was starting to blow in my face, and the wind just kept increasing. They would have to move the Test Subjects in the middle and upper floors to the bottom floors, or the bunkers in a really big storm. I had a feeling that we were going to be taken to the bunkers. They would have to hurry, since the bunkers weren't attached to the main building.

I sit in my office, sorting through files like a doctor should. Even if I wasn't one, I needed to keep up the act a while longer. I had heard from my partner that there was a huge storm moving in. He didn't work in the Lab – No, that was my role. I was the infiltrator, while he set up the safe houses and figured out when it was time. And that time was today. He'd be waiting as one of the drivers, with a small star painted on the back of the vehicle, to let me know which one he was in. I picked up my bag and slung it across my shoulder. It was the bag I had been issued to hold emergency supplies in case of an event like this. Well, sorta. Not many Doctors had tranquilizing injections in their bag, since they weren't authorized to use them, but I was. Yesterday, when I was in the clinic, I had raided the stash for as many as I could find. But they weren't for Test Subjects, it was for Lab employees that got in my way. I staightened my glasses as I opened my office door, I didn't need them, but it helped sell the act. Unlike most of the other Doctors, I remained calm as I walked through the halls.

Alice grimaced a bit at Max's expression of slight expression of disgust. Cheshire smile coming back as Max vaguely described her past experiences. "Ah. Well this is actually the start of something rather large right here." she said making a sweeping motion with her hand towards the three Origins. Like Max, the black-headed girl was also carful in giving out information, to much about what she had done could let her acquaintance know what she was about to do next. But Alice Cheshire had gone back to London for a while to make inquiries on a certain subject. Of course body had to know that.

Dru's eyes flickered toward her companion, blinking for a moment before turning her eyes back to Alice and the newcomer. Quietly, she made her way over to him. "Yes?" She breathed. I don't know if this was planned, but obviously those two are close, she thought to herself. That wasn't a good sign. If she couldn't trust Alice- and the thought of trusting her made the brunette want to retch. She wouldn't trust her with a pencil- She certainly couldn't trust the newcomer. Not to mention, new girl had a far stronger aura than Alice. Dry could sense the similar wild cat traits in her that were in herself.

I noticed Takeshi and Drusilla had gone off to the side and felt slightly left out, but realized I had been gone for awhile and I couldn't just expect them to treat me the same right after we'd been reunited; I had to trust them to tell me what I had to know. Instead, I focused on the two 'friends' as they had their little conversation and tried to pick up on any hints as to who they were and why they were here. I knew the obvious-- they were both shifters and Alice wanted some sort of business transaction, but other than that I had no idea who they were.

I sighed, stepping back from the window and plopping down onto my bed. I knew sooner or later, if this was a bad enough storm, that the workers would collect the shifters on the higher levels and bring them to a safer location, so it was only a matter of time before I was taken once again from my room and herded somewhere else-- seeing as I was on the second level. Already I could hear panicked voices outside, so I prepared myself for someone to barge right in and take me from my room.

I nodded, glancing briefly at the three strangers. Though I didn't know they were Orgins, then, I could tell they were shifters and had been together for awhile.. I blinked, looking back at my English friend, silently asking what she was up to.
I noted two of the three had paired together and were probably devising a plan of some-sort, but I wasn't all that interested; this was Alice's deal and she probably would've given me some sort of sign if she wanted help, so I decided to try and stay out of it for now. Instead, I searched out of the corner of my eye for any spare change of clothes I could snatch; though I might be safe for a few moments in here, the guards and those meat-headed minions were sure to start checking rooms. I stuck my hand into my hoodie pockets, gently gripping the diamond as if to assure myself not everything had been screwed up.

Alice was about to inquire a little more deeply as to why Max was in the hotel when a buzz in her pocket made her take her phone out. making sure no-one could see the contents of the screen Alice looked down and slowly raised an eyebrow. Turning the phone off she noticed out of the corner of her eye that Max now had her hands in her pockets and seemed to be holding something. Leaning towards the shifter she approached her mouth to the brunettes ear. "Care to tell me why there are a bunch of thugs in front of the hotel?" she inquired softly enough so that the others could not hear even with their enhanced senses.

I'd looked away while the dark-haired girl looked at her phone and began to drift off in thought, twisting the jewel around in my fingers. If I left now, I could probably jump out a window and climb down without having to change my clothes; I was pretty sure we weren't very high in the building. Or perhaps I should follow my original plan and ditch the clothes and walk out in disguise?
I was pulled from my mind as Alice leaned toward me and asked me something very softly. Crap. Well, I guess she figures I'm in trouble, again, though it probably shouldn't come as a surprise; I'm almost always up to something when we accidentally bump into eachother. I felt a corner of my mouth twitch upward into a half-grin as I stared ahead. "Ah, just some business. Nothing I can't handle, my dear Alice. No reason to worry.." I answered just as quietly, my gaze locked straight ahead. I knew she probably wouldn't just drop it, but it was worth a try; I didn't want to pull her into this when she was already busy.

Alice shook her head. This was very much her business unless Max intended to knock all of them out before they reached this floor. "I'm afraid this is my business. You see, not only would this interrupt our pleasant talk but it would also mean them noticing that the hotel has a certain unregistered guest." The black haired girl was indeed staying in the room right next to this one. But registering in the front desk had perhaps escaped her mind. And while she usually didn't care these nuckle-heads looked like they were in for a thorough search. It would be a pity for a certain artifact she held dear and had through much trouble to acquire land in their hands. Not to mention she may have had certain affairs with the company.

I could feel my inner wildcat lashing its tail in irritation as Alice pressed harder for an answer. Sure, I'd known she wouldn't drop it so easily, but it still ticked me off when it happened. "I told you, it's nothing to worry about," I growled through clenched teeth, saying it a bit louder than I'd meant. Realizing I wasn't keeping quiet enough, I took a deep breath before continuing in a whisper barely audible to even a shifter's ears. "Look, I apologize you're being dragged into it, but I was just doing a job. You know how it is, you've got a whole plan worked out and then some moron trips up and tears the whole thing down with him. I was on my way to escape when I ran into you.. Happy? Now you know why I'm here. Just drop it; everything will work itself out... maybe.."
Though I didn't want to admit it, I knew I probably needed some assistance in getting out of here undetected. I just couldn't stand appearing weak in front of anyone-- unless, of course, it was an act to cheat someone out of something I wanted; then I had no probelm with it. No, it was real weakness I had a problem with, and I couldn't afford having one of my only connections thinking I was turning into a fraud who got themselves into things they couldn't get out of-- not that this was one of those things..

Alice Cheshire raised an eyebrow in suspicion. Eye's straying back to the noticeable bulge in Max's pocket she looked back up at her now irritated 'friend'. "Does it have something to do with what smells like a stone in your pocket?" she whispered careful not to talk too loud. But the situation Max was in was indeed very relatable. Some guy screws up and a quick escape plan is needed. Though most of the time the guy she worked with ended up dead so she could get all the profits. Standing up in one swift motion the raven haired girl looked at an imaginary watch on her hand. "Dear me! Look at the time!" she exclaimed, "I really do have other things to get done and since you lot seem to be in need of some time to think i'll leave you to it.!" Starting to walk out the door she made a small sign with her head to signal Max to follow her.

"I told you, it's nothing to worry about."
My eyes narrowed as I heard the brunette growl at her 'friend'. What was this 'nothing' that Alice is supposed to not be worrying about? Why are they being so secretive?
My suspensions grew as out of nowhere, the two realized they had some place else to be and headed for the door. I was just about to follow when I realized I wasn't on my own, anymore, and I couldn't just dissappear when I wish anymore. I looked back at Takeshi and Drusilla, silently asking if they had any idea what had just happened.

Just barely noticing Alice's signal, I suddenly 'realized' I had to go, too. "Oh, I apologize everybody, but I seem to be running late. I must depart as well, it seems. Nice meeting you all," I spoke, standing up and moving to exit. I waved slightly, giving Takeshi and Dru a double glance before closing the door behind me. Giving Alice a questioning look, I followed close behind as she walked on.

Alice Cheshire quickly walked to her 'borrowed' hotel room which was only two doors away. Opening the door she let herself in waiting for Max to come in after her and close the door. The room had near to no personal items visible. All of the things she kept as precious she hid either on her person or somewhere most would not find. Plopping down on an armchair she removed her black boots to bring her feet up close to her slim body. "Whatever you did to those charming young men I don't care unless theres blackmail I can use." she said eyeing her partner, "But if those thugs decide to search my room or this hotel they may find more than just you and that thing in your pocket. Indeed, the Cheshire had recently acquired a very useful bargaining chip that she had no intention of loosing.

I sighed, entering the unpaid for room. I wandered around it a bit, listening to what Alice had to say as I inspected what belongings she had laid out. "And what exactly do you suppose I do to protect you and your precious little whatever? Hand myself over? Give over what I have and say 'Oops, this is your's? I'm sorry, I mistook it as my grandmother's heirloom.'? No. I can't do that."

Alice Cheshire had no clear answer to what to do about this situation. Yet. This was a sticky situation. There were thugs guarding the perimeter of the building, probably looking for anything that looked like a girl. She had the advantage of being able to turn into a Cheshire, but her belongings couldn't be carried by a cat, though large. Had her shifting abilities been as good as her peers she could have shifted from cat to human and maybe gotten out but she sadly lacked that advantage. A mental plan of the building coming up in her head she looked down at the small screen in her hand localizing the guards and placing them in her mental map. So, there were 7 guards outside spaced evenly and another 5 going inside. They would probably check in at the front desk first to see if anybody had checked in recently. They were on the second floor which also brought them some time. She could fit everything she had in a messenger bag but would have to get rid of any evidence that she had been here. That meant burning the sheets, getting rid of the shampoo, and getting rid of any trace of the presence of a cat. "What is it that you borrowed anyways?" she questioned plans still forming in her head.

"Something that could catch a pretty penny.." I replied, sticking my hand back into my pocket. I paused as I thought. Though I knew Alice was an excellent plan-maker, I knew on such short notice even she would need a bit of help brainstorming. "Why don't we just take them out? I know it's messy, but we'd easily overpower them. A bunch of thugs wouldn't likely survive a single shifter attack, let alone a team of two.." I said aloud, running a finger across the frame on one of the hotel's paintings.

Plan of the building still in her head, Alice Cheshire opened two separate 'tabs' in her brain. The first one registered Max's first comment. The smell of whatever she had stolen lead her to think if was a kind of stone or metal. But it had to worth and not just something that was useful if it was worth a 'pretty penny'. Conclusion: it was a gemstone of some kind. Since it was worth that much the cheshire was lead to believe it was something like a diamond. With that mystery mostly solved Alice could now move on to a more pressing issue. As Max had proposed fighting was indeed an option, even though their odds were not as good as they seemed. It would be easy for a shifter to take them down. Max would have no problem. Her fighting skills as a human were excellent, and as a snow leopard she was absolutely lethal. Alice, while a good human fighter, tended to try to not rely on her animal form to fight, due to it's smaller form and the defects that followed as she became human. She could have Max take care of everything. But that would mean people finding out they were shifters, and if she was found hanging near one it would not help her delicate situation.
So far the criteria consisted of this:
    - no one could know they were shifters
    - it would be best to keep both their identities secret
    - being seen work together was not good
"It's probably not a good idea to let them know you're a shifter." she said still in deep concentration. "What we could do is turn you into your shift for the whole time. They've seen your face, but they don't know you're a shifter yet, so don't let them see you in human form. From then on we have two options.
    1. I can wear so much makeup and clothes that i'll be unrecognizable and pass for some rich lady who owns you as a pet and just so happens to have a diamond on her.
    2. I can hide, while you take them out while in leopard form. Then as soon as they're down we leave with all our stuff."

OCC: Bee, would you mind terribly if Alice took up a peculiar interest in Michael?
