• While Raven and Hades exchanged names, Vodka took the liberty to try out the swinging door.(Still not sure what it's called)She sniffed it carefully, befor bunting it lightly with her nose. It didn't budge. She tried again, a little harder. Still didn't budge. She then pushed against it with her shoulder, and, sure enough, it came swinging open. She fell on the other side and the door swished to a closed, and Vodka was cut off. She shrunk back as she took in the large entrance room, and couldn't even make a peep she was so frightened. Thankfully, Lorden had seen Vodka missing and figured she had messed around with the door. "Hey, you okay?" Lorden asked her, pushing himself into the entrance room, and Vodka nodded, feeling a little better. "Hey, you guys coming?" Lorden asked, popping his head through the door before sliding back into the main entrance area.

  • Raven turned to the rest of them and looked at the now open door. She trotted up to it and followed the rest. Raven sniffed around a bit and and continued on with out any words.

  • (I don't have pictures for her right now but I will when I get to a computer.)

As far as she knew, none of the other dogs had seen her. The dog had climbed up the side of her cage, just barely fitting through the open space at the top of the kennel. Finally, when she was through the opening, she landed down on the ground lightly, even though she wasn't the smallest dog. She wasn't the lsrgest, but she wasn't the smallest, which was good in her case. Light brown eyes watched as the dogs opened the swinging door, letting more light into the room. Thankfully, the dogs were already in the other room when the dog approached the door. When she did, she peeked her head through the door and looked inside. She tried to make sure none of the other dogs were in front of the door.
Out of all the dogs that went through, the only one she knew was Raven, and that was only because she had talked to the German Shepherd a few times before.

  • The main entrance way consisted of a large desk in the middle of the room, glass doors opposite of it that led to the dark outside world, and another swinging door opposite of the dog's door that led to the cats. Lorden spied the door to the cats suspiciously, then turned his attention to the two glass doors. He pushed his shoulder on it, and as he thought, it didn't work. "Hey Hades, Raven, come here. We could use some muscle," Lorden asked, more of a suggestion than an order, "Not sure how hard these shiny things are, but maybe if we hit against it, all of us at once, maybe it'll bust."

  • Raven turned to the sound of her name. She nodded and walked up to Lorden. She glanced at her objective and then over to Hades. Raven walked up to the shiny thing and scanned it with her gold eyes. She stepped forward, almost leaning against it. Then Ravwn steadied her large paws on the ground and moved her shoulder forward, ready to push when the others got in position. She stood as if she was pushing but she wasn't, not until the others did that is.

  • Lorden got into stance, ready. Vodka, knowing she wasn't strong enough to help out, watched from a good distance. The male's shoulder rippled, ready to plunge into the glass when Hades also got ready.

As the other dogs got distracted by opening the door, the she-dog behind them knew that if she just randomly appeared and tried opening the door with them wouldn't be much help, especially since they didn't know she had escaped as well. So, she tried to make herself useful in some way. The dog's light brown eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of the humans and trying to locate where they were. If they were in the cat room then she knew these other dogs would need to get the door open quickly. If they weren't even at the pound then there was a slight chance they would come back any minute.
Finally, deciding that showing she was there, she wanted to at least give some sort of advice for the dogs. "You had better hurry it up. Those humans could be back any minute," she said, hoping she wasn't right.

  • Vodka jumped slightly, for she had not seen the new dog enter. Lorden though, just studied the female for a few fleeting seconds, then looked at Raven. "On the count of three. One.." Lorden began, bracing himself to bang on the door, "Two...Three!" He said, then dove his shoulder into the glass door, hoping that he was unison with Raven.

  • Raven ignored the female voice that warned from behind. She nodded on the count of three and shoved hard at the door. Lorden and Raven's strength had caused the door to bust open. Raven stood there and held the door open, letting the others enter before her.

  • (Okay, what do you guys want to do now? Roleplay as they go from city to city? Or do you guys have other topics we could do?)

"It worked!" Vodka said gleefully, running out of the door into the cool night, a smile plastered on her face. Lorden watched her silently, a smile trying to crack his serious face. "It's not over yet. We still need to put distance between us and this place," Lorden stated, walking out into the cool night. He then turned and faced the dogs.
"Raven? You said you would join us in our journey." Lorden asked, Vodka bounding up beside him, adding, "And Hades? You shall come to, won't you? And.." Vodka's voice trailed off as she looked at the new dog. "D-do you want to come to?" Lorden again gave Vodka a signature glare.

  • Raven closed the door as all of them came out. She listened to Lorden. She said she would stay and she planned on it. She nodded and walked up to the rest of the dogs, she didn't talk much, she was a quiet dog. She swished her tall and stood beside Vodka, suddenly feeling very close and protective towards the group of dogs. Raven blinked and looked at the new dog, waiting for an answer from her.

  •
At first the dog said nothing. She only lightly trotted out of the building and stopped to where the door wouldn't hit her when it closed, if it did. While she didn't help the dogs as much, she still was somewhat interested in what they planned on doing. So, with a slight shrug of her shoulders, she let out a yawn and stretched. "Why not." She then walked over to the other dogs, then remembering something she had never said, as well. "The name's Lyle, by the way."

  • "Lorden, and this is Vodka, my sister," Lorden introduced, nodding his head to Vodka, who was looking intently on Hades, who had still not answered. "Okay, let's head out then," Lorden said, turning away from the building and beginning to run, running back into the city. Vodka was trailing behind, taking frequent glances to Hades.

  • Raven stayed silent, not really wanting to talk just wanting to get out of here. She ran along side Lorden, she could go faster but she didn't want to seem like she would be leaving them behind. She said she would stay with them so she will. Raven kept her gaze ahead, giving a quick scan on the things around her every now and then.

Out in the slightly chilly city streets Mercedes walked cautiously at Mabel's side the red female baring a happy grin while the older white female looked mildly displeased to say the least. The females ears flicked as she caught a lot of noise coming from a small distance away and though typically the wise female ran from such things today she went towards it. Mabel tilted her red head looking at her company with slight worry. "Uhhh You know the park is this way right?"

Mercedes Stopped for a minute and looked over her shoulder flicking a ear towards her giving a soft sigh. "I know its just... I am curious... come on we can head home after this." Picking up a quick trot Mercedes fallowed the sound to a large building with bared up windows where loud cry's of animals was practically defining. The white females amber eyes moved up to the roof where out of a smoke stack black smoke rising and filling the air with a most foul smell.

Mabel slowily took a step forward looking up where Mercedes eyes were and tilted her head. "What is this place?"

The older female looked over at the young dog her eyes slightly grave, Mabel was new to the streets a humans present that was left behind when they moved so how could she expect her to know what a kill shelter was to start with? As she opened her maw to answer she was surprised with the sight of dogs taking off from the shelter and down the road. "Hm..." Tapping Mabel with her tail the two got up and started in a run keeping across the street and to the shadows watching them from afar. Mabel was keeping up just at Mercedes's right shoulder the two's breath causing small pale white puffs of breath to rise.

  • (Well, they all got out of their kennels and broke out of the shelter. Lyle has joined the group, and all of them are now heading back into the city.)

Lorden's gait faltered as he slowed slightly, his cropped ears erect as he listented closely to the sounds around him. His ears had picked up the sound of claws clicking against the road beneath them, but he knew that there were many dogs that roamed the streets, so he thought nothing of it and sped up.

Though he was alert and on guard, he couldn't help taking a glance to the large female beside him. He felt very comfortable with her prescence, for he knew that without her, they would be more vulnerable. He gave a soft smile inwardly, then turned his hardened gaze back to the road ahead of him. His goal was to get far from the shelter. That was his first objective.
Vodka was behind Lorden, having to run fast to keep up with his brisk running pace, but she then worked her way so she was beside Lyle. The blue merle dog was curious about the female, more so becaus she had escaped and no one had seen her.
"So, you were listening to our plans and escaped when we did?" She asked the white and black dog.

  • Raven galloped ahead matching her pace with Lorden's. She kept her steps steady and swift. She liked it more in the woods, not so much the city. She was just used to it due to her past with her master. They spent most of there time together outside and it just started to feel like home to her. Yet the woods that bordered the city were nothing like she had fought in or stayed in, no where close. But it was close enough for her. Raven felt Lorden's gaze fall on her. She didn't care, she just followed Lorden, guessing he had plans for where they would stay for the night. It was starting to get dark, not only because the sun was setting, but also small grey rain clouds approached. Raven loved the rain, she didn't know why she just did. It helped her sleep and it was calming and relaxing to her. She remembered one time with her master, they had made a small shelter out in the woods, they were seperated from the soldier's camp due to an attack. It had rained that night and she had watched over her sleeping master. Gosh did she miss him. She wondered what she would be doing right now if he was still alive.

  • As Lyle followed the other dogs, she said nothing. It was great to be out of that shelter and away from humans, but it had been a while since she had seen anything other then old, matted dogs and stone walls and a fence that blocked her from the main room. As she looked around her, she began to wonder where exactly it was they were going. Clearly it was to the city, but what was in the city now? She hadn't been to one in a while, so the thought of lots of humans and other stray dogs was somewhat odd to think of.
As she thought, she hears a voice suddenly beside her. When she looked over, she saw the dog she believed was named Vodka, or at least that was what she thought she heard. When she heard the question, she almost made no acknowledgement that she had heard her. Her eyes and face were blank for a moment before she slightly nodded and looked back forward. "I listened to the plans in my kennel. But I wasn't entirely sure, so I waited til you all were getting through the human door before I escaped my cage, " she said, looking at the others to see if they were going any certain dorection.

Shaking their thick coats at the foreboding weather the two fallowed the group of dogs still their distance well kept. Mercedes gave a small sigh her eyes moving towards the area around them. "Come on pup we will track hem down tomorrow." Gently she nudged Mabel in a new direction fallowing a old road into the city away from the strangers . After about a mile into the city's streets the girls approached a old looking church and easily slipped in through the door ears flicking at the sound of falling rain. Tired and worn out the pair trotted to the back room where old blankets were gathered into a welcoming pile. Swiftly Mabel jumped into them and curled up under the blankets smiling as Mercedes soon laid beside her grooming out the burs from her thick coat as the rain fell outside the stain glass windows.
