ic: The next morning the sun warmed Cougarbite's coat, waking him up. Opening his eyes, his jaws parted into a yawn. Standing up, he sunk down into a stretch, feeling that his muscles were stretching into a comfortable feeling. He then shook himself free of the dirt and moss that had clung to his body from sleeping outside. The first thing he did was look around for someone to go on patrol with. It wasn't long before he turned towards the medicine cat den to go check on his sister.Wishingwell looked towards the tom who had spent the whole night outside of the den, worried about his sister. Smiling softly to herself she turned away so that it looked like she was sorting herbs, when in reality she was listening to what they would be saying to each other.

Eagleclaw padded carefully around the trees, his ears perked and his eyes scanning his surroundings. All of his senses were fully alert, looking out for any signs of prey or other cats. It had been a few moons since he had left his former clan's territory, and since then his travels have taken him far away from what was once his home. Food wasn't very hard to find, especially since he usually hunted on other cats' territories. If a group of cats lingered in one area for a while, it meant that there had to be a steady supply of prey. Normally he would remain undetected by any other cats whenever he hunted and if he was, he didn't stick around long enough to find out.
As he trekked on, Eagleclaw noticed a few scents of other cats on some of the trees and bushes. Fresh The chestnut-colored tom mused just before spotting a lone mouse scuttling among the surfaced roots of the tree, These are definitely clan cats. If I'm right, there should be a morning patrol out around this time. I'd better be careful and keep and eye out for them. The tom crept up on the small rodent, quickly slamming one paw down on it before giving a swift bite to its neck. As the mouse now hung limply from his jaws, he surveyed his surroundings once more for any signs of a patrol. He always made sure to roll around in some mint plants to mask his scent, and he found that twolegs usually kept some growing right outside their stony nests as much as he disliked going anywhere near them though he preferred that over rolling around in mud or fox dung.
Settling down between one of the bigger roots and a bush, Eagleclaw bit into his meal and chewed as his ears swiveled about. -

She stepped over a gnarled root coated in moss and sat down in the crook of a tree. "CougarBite, perhaps..." She murmured quietly to herself, not wanting to disturb the birdsong. Even though every cat saw birds as prey, CherryStar respected them and enjoyed their song.
