We had recently started our journey together, but, it already ended. We were free falling from a cliff, me and my 10 year old trainer, Max. We screamed at the top of our lungs, but, no one could hear us. No one who could or want to of saved us any way. Then, like a flicker of light, in an instant he threw me out of his embrace. I slammed into the side of the cliff and landed safely on a ledge. I remember looking down and seeing him land below. When I reached him, he was still breathing faintly, and we locked eyes. "Eevee, I...I think it's over now..." He said, with a cough that seemed to of hurt him,"I don't want you to be scared, or hurt. I want you to know I love you with all...My...Heart". Max's heavy breathing stopped as he closed his eyes. I remember his last words echoing in my ears, the last ones I would hear from him again. I fell apart, because I was the one who lead him to the side of the cliff to show him the view of the wide forest, and then jumped up into his arms. It was all my fault.
I awoke in Lisa's arms, Max's sister. She had told me to protect him, but, I had failed. I shrunk in her arms, expecting her to hit me or scold me for failing her. After a while of nothing, she started shaking. I looked up and saw tears in her eyes, she was crying and it was all my fault. I had hurt her. I looked around and saw a lot of people, most of them were wearing black clothing. I saw a casket and I knew what this was. I have heard Pokemon speaking about it a lot, but, I had never expected me to be at one. To be at a funeral I caused. Lisa and me left early and went to the Pokeshop. Alice ran up to us,"Oh Lisa, I heard what happened and I'm so sorry!" Alice said. She hugged us, like I deserved it, "Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the funeral? If you are coming here to work, my answer is no. You should get home and rest". Aliced noticed me,"I can take care of Eevee for you if you want okay?" As I expected, Lisa nodded and I was gently put into Alice's care. From there I have been living in a crate with a small wooden box with an Eevee size bed inside. Other Pokemon would pass by and try to talk to me, but, I didn't really listen. Pokemon in the Pokeshop weren't battle trained, so they went to a peaceful home. They don't go on a journey, so they will never experience the pain of a trainers death.
