Birdsongs were drowned out by the chirps and hymns of crickets and cicadas. The pastel sky held pale cottony clouds, drifting aimlessly through space. The silhouette of the feline basked in the dying light of the sun, drinking in the air that surrounded him.
Day by day, he was getting better. Slowly but surely, he was recovering. Piecing his life back together, making the most he could out of his pathetic existence. Still, that proved to be harder than he would've ever imagined. Slipping into depression's icy grip was so much easier than trying to crawl out of it. With a light sigh, the demiboy stretched out his lanky body, seeking comfort in the sunset.
