A small tangle of twigs was tucked away in the shadows - a nest. He had been checking on it for days, curiously watching the small swallows fly to and from it. Koda had seen them laying their eggs, but then they had stopped coming. His face fell into a little frown, brows furrowed. He didn't know a lot about birds, but he knew that kids needed to be looked after. Maybe he could be their parent, that would be the responsible thing to do. He put his paws against the wall, but he couldn't get a grip on the smooth walls. A small wail of frustration left his jaws.

But after a moment he realized that Tate wasn't going to tell him off or make fun of him - he was genuinely curious. He offered a friendly smile, although it was slightly forced due his current distress over the abandoned eggs. "There's a nest up there," he said, lifting a paw off the wall to gesture, "But the parents have left. I wanna rescue them."
