    (ic: Faith watched the two happy that they were finally leaving. She chuckled hearing Iroh but she stopped as soon as she saw where he was heading. The ship that the were going into was notorious in the area. They ripped off all of their costumers and how they got their products was questionable. That was just the tip of the iceberg. The pirates on that ship were more than willing to do other dirty work for some cash. With the fire nation soldiers stationed on the dock Zuko and Iroh could be in trouble. Waiting a moment she was tempted to just leave them, it would serve Zuko right. But then again Iroh did nothing wrong. Sighing Faith trotted over to them. "I would stay away from that ship. Nothing good comes from there." she warned looking between the both of them. )

    Zuko opened his mouth to repeat the words to his uncle, who was already too far ahead to hear her. However, Zuko hesitated. Was he really going to trust this stranger? Of course not! What makes her think she knows everything? Maybe I should go just to spite her. Zuko smiled at that last thought. "Good things always come to those who know how to get the answers they want." Zuko hissed, snickering at her. "Mind your own business." With that, Zuko followed his uncle quite willingly, not mentioning a thing about what she had said.

    (ic: Faith scowled watching Zuko walk closer to the ship. From her current position she could see the pirates on the deck, they looked a little too happy. Dropping her barriers she reached her mind out to the soldiers around her. Just as she had thought, they wanted to take down Zuko and his uncle. Faith didn't have time to reach any deeper and find where their orders came from, though she had her suspicions, she had to act. All the pirates wanted was money, and she couldn't supply that. Faith was debating using her powers as well but she ruled that out not wanting to reveal anything. She decided to just on in without a plan and figure things out as they went along. Anything she did would probably look suspicious so she might as well. Finally moving she ran past Zuko and Iroh into the ship. Why am I doing this she wondered incredulously. But Faith knew why, she felt obligated to help people and she always has. She was able to see people as they truly were snd she knew there was good in Zuko. Never mind that she thought shaking her head what now? )







    ( ooc: Okay phew, I'm halfway through the school quarter and I've finally got things together. I should be able to get on way more frequently not just the weekend (wick I couldn't do much anyways ^-^) )

    "Hey, watch it!" Zuko exclaimed as she rushed past him. What is she doing? He hurried up the ramp and onto the deck of the ship, which was crowded with a large group of grimy-looking people wearing jewelry. Pirates... We don't have time to deal with any pirates.


    The pirates all stared as Faith, Zuko and Iroh made their way onto the ship. The lead pirate made his way through the crowd. "We're closed at the moment." He hissed, eyeing Zuko. "And we pirates don't give special privileges to royalty." The pirate took out his sword and stared at Zuko threateningly.

    (ic: Faith narrowed her eyes at the pirates letting her mind delve deep into theirs. They definitely are smarter then they look she thought begrudgingly. With Zuko and Iroh walking right into their ship they didn't have to do much work. They could kill the two and reason it with Zuko's and Iroh's trespassing. The leader only had eyes for the two fire benders but a few of the others eyes strayed to Faith. They had some leverage on her, this certain group of pirates knew about her powers but at the same time it was what made them fear her. She remembered how they had tried to capture and sell her like some exotic animal and Faith still held a grudge. "Put the sword away you idiot." Faith snarled at the pirate leader. "Do you really think we need to bring any attention to ourselves?" she asked referring to the whole dock. Even with the fire nation soldiers stationed there shady business still happened more often then not. "You really think Zhao would just randomly want the two assassinated? They cause a threat to him which means they cause a threat to this dock as well. And yeah, I know all about your plans." she spoke into the pirate's mind glancing over at Zuko and Iroh again. Knowing Iroh he had probably picked up on the fact that something was wrong already, which worried Faith somewhat. At this point she knew she would have to relocate and the more she thought about it the more she decided to keep the pirates off Zuko and Iroh. She had to leave anyways so she might as well help the town she'd stayed in for so long. )

    The lead pirate was at first taken aback by Faith talking into his mind, but he quickly realized what was going on. I recognize her now! She's the foolish mind-reader who escaped our clutches!!! Then, what she had said into his mind finally registered. He knew that she was right... A new plan quickly formulated, and the pirate kept out his sword. "If you don't want us to do anything rash, than you can help us find something we're looking for. A waterbending scroll stolen by a young monk and a water-tribe girl." The pirate knew this was the perfect plan. He could lure Zuko and Iroh into the lonely woods, trick them into helping him get the scroll back, then kill them.


    The pirate immediately had Zuko's full attention. "A young monk?" The avatar!


    Iroh narrowed his eyes at the pirate and examined the expressions that traveled between him and Faith. He could tell that something was going on, but he couldn't tell what. He did, however, know that it was not wise to trust this pirate. "Zuko, I do not think it is a good idea to get tangled up with these pirates." He whispered into Zuko's ear.

    (ic: Faith nodded slowly making a plan of her own. Though she didn't particularly like Zuko or Iroh she didn't want to watch them killed. She had seen too much carnage in her lifetime. Faith decided to let the pirates go on with their plan, she would even go along with them, but she would warn the two fire benders before anything happened. After she tipped them off she could dip out. Faith knew the pirates were addressing Zuko and Iroh but she butt in anyways. "Fine I'll help and i'm sure they will too." She agreed. "I have some unfinished business with those two as well." she telepathically explained to the leader. Done with talking to the pirates Faith turned to Iroh thinking up an explanation for him. "That water bending girl has something of mine too. I didn't want to go after them alone but with you guys it should be easy to get it back." she made up acting angry and sincere. )

    "Alrighty, then." The pirate replied, snickering as Faith sealed the deal. "We'll head down the river in our ship. If they stole a waterbending scroll, they'll be out on the water."


    "We'll follow in the steamboat." Zuko replied. "And bring our own soldiers. We'll easily outnumber them."


    Iroh looked between the pirate, Zuko, and Faith. He knew something was up with her, but he couldn't figure out what it was. She didn't seem like the type who would take petty revenge for something stolen. Perhaps I shall continue to keep my eye on her...

    (ic: "I'll go with Zuko." Faith told the pirate simply. Walking up to the fire benders she waited for them to go to their ship. Faith wasn't going to take no for an answer. She didn't particularly want to be alone with them but at the same time she didn't particularly want them to die. On their ship would be the only time when she could warn them. From there she could flee and relocate. Fun she thought sarcastically to herself. Though she wasn't all that happy about all the work, she was happy to help someone out. It was just a natural response for her to help out and it had got her into trouble before. Faith forced her mind to be silent and she moved along with Zuko and Iroh instead.)

    OOC: I followed the link in your signature, and it's perfectly all right that you haven't been on in a while! I know what it's like to get dragged down by extra work and miss out on role-playing for a while.


    IC:
    The steamboat chugged steadily down the river, followed closely by the pirate ship. Zuko stood on the deck of the steamboat and continuously scanned the forest for any sign of the avatar or the water tribe girl. There was no sign of them anywhere, but Zuko was not discouraged. They couldn't have gotten too far. And sooner or later they would stop to practice with the scroll. It was only a matter of time.


    Iroh approached Faith. He knew she had alternative reasons for accompanying them, and he was about to find out those reasons. "So, what was it that the waterbending girl stole from you?"

    (ic: Faith She was antsy to tell Iroh and Zuko the pirate's real plans but she didn't want to interrupt him. She had been hoping that they wouldn't care about her lie. Instead it seemed like Iroh had picked up on it. And he decided to question her about it. Biting back a groan Faith replied. "She stole a family keepsake, I'm not a bender but my mother was a water bender from the norther tribe. I guess the girl thought it would be some used to her." Conveniently pulling up the lie she had made up before she answered Iroh this smoothly. Waiting for his reply she hoped he would drop the subject and give her time to talk. )

    OOC: Sorry I haven't been on in a while!!! I've been having a lot of extra school work recently and very little free time.


    IC: Iroh scratched his beard as he examined Faith. "So the waterbending girl needed to steal two waterbending scrolls? How interesting..." Iroh gave Faith a skeptical look as he examined her, wandering what her alternate motives could be for lying. She certainly didn't seem like a spy or anything, but why was she lying? He continued stroking his beard as he examined her.
