"Aye," she confirmed. "I think the little buggers are close to comin'."

"How soon?" Duskwings asked, curling up beside Zephyrus.
-
"When you left to find your mate, I talked to Havoro about them. He said it could be as soon as tomorrow." She make a circle in the dirt with her talon.
-
"Are you worried?" She asked, watching the other mother.
-
"Havoro is injured. Who's going to help me deliver my cubs?"
-
"Me?" She offered, cocking her head. "I've seen enough births."
-
"Really?" the mother looked at her curiously. "Did Havoro show you how?"
-
"No," She said, sighing softly. "He didn't show me."
-
"Oh." She struggled to stand up. She yawned. "Boy. I am tired."
-
"Have a nap," She suggested, bitting back a yawn.
-
She nodded, managing to walk over to a sunny patch and fell asleep.
-
Duskwings chuckled softly, and curled up against Zephyrus. Though she wouldn't admit it, she was exhausted.
-
Havoro limped out, his wings folded in an awkward angle.
-
"Feeling beter, Havoro?" Zephyrus asked, watching the elder healer.
-
"I'm not dead," he rasped. "I consider that a feat."
-
"Well, you look for harmed than me," He said, watching him curiously.
-
"I'll live," he said. He turned to look at Zephryus. "What about you?"
-
"I'll live," He said, glancing at Duskwings. "Thanks to her."
-
Havoro nodded. "Where's Swiftshadows?"
-
"Over there, in the sun," He said, pointing with his tail.
