(Sorry this is so late, Leo, I should have made this a few days ago cx .)
They had survived the fire, but their territory had been devastated. No prey, no shelter, just an ashen wasteland. Black, empty, and dry. The Diverging's home was, for all intents and purposes, gone. Sandstone had searched around, but he hadn't been able to find a suitable place for the clan to live. Everything that hadn't been burned was pretty far, and it would be difficult to move the clan that far even if they did find a new place to live. His plea to Sunclan was a last resort, but he hoped that their allies with shelter the Diverging until they could find new territory.
Sandstone's once clean sandy fur was smudge with ash. On their old territory a puff of ash rose at every step, and you couldn't stay clean for a second. He had given up trying to keep his fur at least slightly clean. The leader was tired of having the taste of ash on his tongue, having the powdery gray substance fill his senses, and stretch as far as the eye could see. He was hungry too, they all were, and the distance you had to go to get prey didn't make things easier.
A harsh cough erupted from the tom's throat, and a miniature cloud of ash rose as he shook. Eventually his cough's faded, and the leader looked up. "Hello?" He asked, voice slightly huskier than usually due to his dry throat, there wasn't much clean water nearby either, and he looked around, hoping to see a Sunclanner soon.[/justify]
