  • Driftingcloud floated through the forest like a ghost through a haunted mansion. Her blue gaze focused on nothing inparticular, but stared straight ahead, as though she was seeing right through the trees in the forest. The expression on her face seemed rather vacant, her mouth parted slightly and her nose and ears twitching from time to time. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the pure white she-cat stopped, blinking her big blue eyes a couple of times and shaking her head in frustration. She'd let herself slip into yet another day dream. SHe clawed angrily at the ground, muttering words over and overt to herself. Must focus, must focus, MUST focus!

  • Hakan was on high alert. With as many moons as he had under his pelt, he knew it was near suicide to try and cross through a Clan's territory and not be caught. But so far, everything had gone well, though the loner was not holding his breath. Nothing ever lasted long, which was why you had to cherish what you had.
The tom pulled up short in the rocky forest, a tiny breeze carrying the scent of a Clan cat to the older feline's nose. It was here that Hakan was grateful for his dusty brown pelt. It wasn't bold or flashy, making it easier to blend in with his surroundings. Finding a large tree root, the rogue hunkered down.
Seeing the one that caused him to hide come in to view, he couldn't help but relax a little bit. The stranger looked out of it, and shouldn't be to much of a threat if all went well. But then again, Hakan had learned the hard way to never judge by appearance.

  • Driftingcloud looked up, hearing a noise. She sniffed the air, and sure enough she scented another cat, and more importantly, the scent was not SunClan. Her big blue eyes swept all around her, looking for anything that might give away the intruder's whereabouts, but she saw nothing. All her senses were on alert as she slowly crept forwards towards where she thought she had heard the noise. "Show yourself!" She hissed, as she took a pace forwards.

  • Watching the cat closely, Hakan thought about his options. His cover had obviously not been blown yet, so he could run now and probably get away, or stand and show his face.
Though wise, the loner was no coward and would not be taken as such. So bracing himself for whatever might happen next, he stood up from behind the root and flicked his tail calmly.
"There is no need to be hostile. I have no wish to fight with you. Bloodshed is such a dirty business." The tom stated in a gentle like tone.
It was true, to him at least. Being a loner didn't have many positives, and in his life time, Hakan had seen and caused enough bloodshed to last him the rest of his life. So fighting was never at the top of his list any more.

  • Driftingcloud felt her body relax and her muscles loosen, this loner didn't look like much of a threat to her. Instinctively, she almost bowed her head in respect to the older cat, but stopped herself as she realised that a loner was still a loner, whatever the age, and that loner was tresspassing. "You are on SnowClan territory, I'm going to have to exist you leave." She said firmly, but her eyes were drawn of Hakan onto a leaf floating down to the ground behind him. Her eyes fixed on it and they followed it
    right
    the
    way
    down
    to
    the
    groud.

  • The older tom couldn't help it, and gave a slight chuckle. It looked like the she-cat meant business, but was a bit of a bubble head. Well, Hakan had as much patience as the day was long, so he was in no hurry to disrupt her. Pulling his haunches under him, the loner watched Driftingcloud with amusement as his tail curled around his paws.
"I apologize for trespassing." He finally said when the leaf the white feline had been watching landed silently upon the forest floor.

    OOC~post fart O_o

  • IC: Driftingcloud snapped out of her trance when Hakan spoke, and growled to herself with frustration. She had let herself drift off into her own little world in front of a tresspasser she was trying to get rid of. What in StarClan's name would he think of her now. In another moment of stupidity she opened her mouth to apologise, then realising what she was doing, snapped it shut again. "I'm going to have to insist that you leave right now." Whilst I'm still concentrating. She added in her head. Dust particles swirled around her paws and she shuffled them in the dirt, hoping that by keeping moving she would remain focused on te problem at hand.

    OOC: Nah!

  • Rising to his paws again, Hakan gazed at the she-cat, giving a small frown.
"Is there no time for innocent talk anymore? What is your name, young one?" He asked.
The nickname young one went to anyone who was younger than the loner. This pretty much meant everyone, considering it was a slim chance to none of ever meeting another rogue that was older than he.
Even though the warrior was one who couldn't keep focus for long, the tom found himself liking her. She was something new, something other than a hostile or antisocial felines that didn't want anything to do with you. Clan or no Clan, friendship should have no bounds. If only the newer generations could see there was more to life than honoring a code.

  • Driftingcloud sighed, her name reflected her personality and habit of letting herself slip into another world. "Driftingcloud." She said, sitting down. She couldn't even bring herself to drive a rogue out of her own territory. Her head dropped down to look at her paws, mucky from shuffling in the dirt. She said nothing, as she usually did, but this was a more awkward silence...

  • "Driftingcloud." Hakan repeated, knowing the she-cat wasn't happy he was still here. "The name speaks of trust, friendship, and freedom. Cherish your name, it fits you well."
A soft smile dancing upon his white muzzle, the loner took a step closer to the SnowClan cat. Looking as not hostile as he could without looking submissive, he flicked his tail in a friendly way.
"What is SnowClan like?" He asked to get some more words out of her.

  • Driftingcloud glanced up as the older cat advanced towards her, but sensing no threat she looked down again. "SnowClan, is... What can I say?" She looked up, figuring that it was rude to talk to the ground when Hakan had asked her a question. "The best home any cat could ever wish for." She finished, contented with her answer.

  • Hakan couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corners of his maw. Looking Driftingcloud in the eyes, the loner suddenly bowed his head with respect.
"You are a bright cat. Your leader must be glad to have a warrior such as yourself." He meowed in that calm tone of his.

OOC~more brain farts XD and I'm debating whether or not Hakan should join x3 should I? XP

  • "Thank you." Driftingcloud purred, her mood brightening a little. The last time she could remember being praised was as an apprentice by her mentor, other than that cats had only comented on her looks, which she wasn't interested in.

  • Hakan knew he needed to be going, but then again, when was the last time he had sat down and talked? Most of the time now, any loner was far to young to understand much of what he was saying or they had some place to go, or simply weren't social. So for the first time in a while, the tom was faced with a few choices. Should he honor the Clan's territory and rules and leave, or stay longer and risk getting both of them in trouble?
Unable to decide for himself, the feline went with a different method.
"Driftingcloud, what would you have of me? Would you like me to stay, leave, or talk some more?" He suddenly asked before adding with a soft purr, "I have all the patience in the world, so don't feel pressured."

  • "Stay," Driftingcloud answered immediately, then realising how abbrupt she'd been added "Of course, only if you want to. I mean, I don't mind." She rambled. Frustrated with herself, she stopped talking. She wasn't entirely looking forward to returning to camp, as she didn't have many friends and often found herself bored which lead to her daydreams. On the other hand, she did not fancy explaining why she was sitting having a good old natter with an old loner if she got caught.

  • Hakan nodded slowly, thinking it over.
"If you wish me to stay, then I will. And don't worry, if one of your fellow warriors come by, I have ways of getting both of us out of trouble." He replied, seeing the worry on her face.
Old he may be, but the loner still had questions he wished he could ask the she-cat. Seeing as he had never been in a Clan, or around one long enough to discover their ways other than the well known things such as names and gatherings.
Thinking of something, the tom looked at Driftingcloud with a frown tugging at his whiskers.
"Is it possible for a Clan to have a loner alli?" He suddenly questioned.

  • Driftingcloud nodded and let out a small sigh of relief. She liked having somebody to talk to, and it made a nice change that the somebody wasn't from within SnowClan.
The question that Hakan asked came as a surprise, and she paused to think for a moment. "I think so..." The young warrior answered. "I'm sure there's a barn or something where loners let Clanners rest on journeys." She said, racking her brain to try and remember the stories she'd heard.

  • Giving a rough purr that was the equivalent to laughter, the tom shook his head.
"That barn has nothing I really need. Plus, with the dogs, cats, birds, and rats that all come sauntering through there, I try to avoid it as much as possible." He replied.
Though Hakan couldn't help the thought. Did Clans allow loners to be a sort of spy or messenger type? As long as he had been around, the loner hadn't heard of such a thing. But that didn't mean it didn't exist.

  • Driftingcloud nodded. "I understand." She said, a thoughtful expression crossing her face as she tried to imagine herself on Hakan's paws. The white she-cat had never really considerd life as a loner, but now that she did, it seemed a very lonely and dangerous life, with nobody to back you up. "Do you ever get lonely?" She asked out of cuiosity, knowing that some cats preffered a more isolated life.

  • Thinking the question over, Hakan gave a small nod.
"I suppose sometimes it can get lonely with nobody to talk to except for the occasional other loner. Most of the time though, all I hear about are battles and wars. So I don't mind being alone to much seeing as it gives me peace." He sighed, unable to keep from adding, "No matter how young the generations, there will always be bloodshed. I can't help but wonder if I am alone in thinking fighting solves nothing."
That is just how the dusty brown tom felt. He believed all fighting ever got was more fighting, and he was mostly true. If one Clan attacked another, then it would only be a matter of time until the second Clan retaliated.
