  • OOC: I'll start :D

Rayne swam about the lake, it was her favorite past time. She just loved how she felt weightless within the cool water. Rayne was not a normal mermaid if anything she wasn't one at all, she was a pretender a shifter a creature that takes the forms of others. Rayne swam from the bottom of the lake as fast as she could up, breaking the surface with a large splash with a smile. She truly was at home in the water. " A lake all to myself, minus the fish of course" she spoke to no one but the air.

  • OOC: Sorry for my absence, was in Wisconsin and didn't have enough signal to get on, I'm back now. :P

IN: As the obstacles of trees and shrubs passed by ahead, Darth was transformed into his wolf form as his blazing iris's scan the area. Other organisms were seen in the corner of his eyes as a low irritated growl escaped his vocal cords when he found himself subdued near an ocean. Great.... In annoyance, the male shook his black flank and slowly wandered near to lower his cranium and lap up the refreshment. It was disgusting to have such a salty and bitter taste as Darth yanked his head back in disgust, not fond or satisfied as he took a step away from the sea and narrowed his eyes.

  • OOC: It's ok. I'm on vacation right now wont be home till sometime tuesday. My post are going to be kinda short right now. My son is asleep and I'm trying to type as quitely as possible and it's not working out that great lol.

Rayne saw what looked like a wolf off in the distance, curious as to why a wolf of all things would be coming down to the water like this. Quickly diving back down she swam as fast as she could, once close enough to see but far enough to startle she gently surfaced just where her eyes were above the water. Seeing the wolf actually drink the salt water Rayne started to laugh loud enough for even a wolf to hear a muffled laugh by water.

  • OOC: xDDD Oh no worries.

IN: Darth grimaced a little and glanced up to feel a presence nearby and of course he caught a silhouette of a dark figure moving underwater near the shore.
"What the.." He furrowed his brows and watched it stop and then his lobes flick back in ignorance from a laugh arriving. He was so confused!! But now he just bared his canines and stepped back on high alert if this was a 'predator.' Even though he could surely kill it if it submerged from the sea.

  • Rayne dived again making her way to the shore, when there was just a few feet a water she surface again. This time she sat upon the sand the water coming just slightly above her waist. " Hello wolf are you lost." Rayne flicked her tail making a little splash. " Drinking ocean water isn't very wise, it actually makes you more thristy." She held her hand out to the wolf, at this time she was thinking she was only dealing with a normal everyday wolf not a were.

  • The werewolf closely watched the female arrive just near the shore but he could tell there was something else she seemed to hide in the abyss of the depths below. But he didn't say anything about it but feel embarrassed from what she said, glaring at her stubbornly and his hackles flattened upon his spinal.
"I'm not lost and this is the only water I can find for now." He grumbled under his breath and shook the last of the droplets off his black pelf and padded closer suspiciously to notice her tail just nearly out of the water. He never seen one of these creatures before nor did he know if they were aggressive or not.
"You're a fish." He sarcastically remarked in a clueless expression as his bright eyes widen in curiosity. How can she live with no legs?!

  • Rayne pulled her hand back when she heard him speak. " You're not a normal wolf." she moved closer to him using her hands and her tail to do so, she was putting herself at risk by getting so far out of the water, but she could quickly change to something else to get away if need be. "I'm only half a fish" Rayne actually inhaled deeply closing her eyes for a brief moment. " You smell like a werewolf I believe." With her this close to shore most of her fish half was exposed, she was just submerged just enough to keep her scales from drying.

  • Darth narrowed his bright iris's at her movements now identifying the different scales shown above the water. With a near bristle of his muscles, he did not flee back to where he came from but have a dominant expression in his movements and emotions as he stepped forward and pressed his snout against her palm to as well catch the aroma of her being of what he thought but a chuckle came from under his breath at her confusion.
"No I am not a normal wolf, I am a werewolf so you are correct. And I believe you are a mermaid, yourself." He flared his nostrils from the salty smell that stuck to Rayne like glue as he cringed a little not having a interest in anything that can thrive in water. Especially this type of fantasy creature. Well they seemed to have the same identifications to be seen in folktales but he mostly would be called the 'enemy' after all the stories he heard in his past. A frustrated sigh escaped him at the thought but he turned his attention back to her and slowly sat on his haunches, feeling somehow content for now...

  • Rayne touched the corner of her mouth with her pointer finger trying to act all cute, she had a very playful side to her. " You're partially correct about me being mermaid, but yet very wrong" Rayne looked to Darth before pointing to the left, there was a hidden trail that was behind some brush that could slightly seen from their position. "If you follow that path a ways there's a under ground spring with fresh water that runs over some rocks and a little collection pool that makes it easy to drink from."

  • Darth was surprised in the mermaid's expressions as his tail flicked about in the humidity, hunger springing through him as he was holding himself back from using her as a target. Whoops. But as she pointed he cocked his cranium and squinted to where the following trail was seen obviously in the abyss. A greedy smile spread across his maw as he turned back towards the female and nodded his head, his stomach grumbling loudly as he snorted.
"Thank you. I am Darth by the way and I am gonna go before I find myself using you as my own target." He narrowed his eyes and looked among the perimeter before winking his right eye playfully from her as he traveled to where she pointed and sighed in relief to see the tiny pool of water in the lush green grass. Without hesitation, the black wolf padded towards the nourishment and lowered his hunches down to lap up the water, swallowing thoroughly and then targeting the depths for any fish or the terrain for rodents. Just something to refill him atleast then devouring Rayne on accident.

  • Rayne could hear the loud growling but at first she could tell it was his stomach or coming from his muzzle. When he mention something about making her a target in a joking manner she just gave him smile as she watched him leave. When Darth disappeared to find the water she had pointed out she decided it was a good time for herself to do the same thing.

Rayne concentrated on an image of a different animal, her bones started to pop and take on their new shape and positions. Her tail became legs, her hands and feet turned to paws with nice sharp claws. Golden fur with large brownish black spots took over her body and her face was grew outward into a muzzle full of sharp teeth and fangs.

Rayne walked from the water not as a mermaid but that of a large jaguar. She stood tall and proud. Changing was never a fast and easy process but she wouldn't change it for the world. Rayne walked off in the same direction as Darth, she was also thristy from her day in the ocean.

  • Darth finally caught movement in the corner of his eyes as his tongue licked the side of his jaws hungrily to notice a large rainbow trout swim from the waterfall near the shallow depths to lay her eggs. Slowly, the black wolf stayed in the darkness out of the alert eyes of the trout until plunging into the estuary and snarling loud to get the fish by the gills, his claws scraping the slippery scales to keep hold as his cranium lowered to grasp the trout in between his jaws. Well that was easier than expected. And it thankfully did not have the salty taste that was bitter as he could still remember from the ocean.
Right before the male was going to submerge from the water, his iris's scan the perimeter cautiously and came in contact with a muscular feline making her way in the opening. A threatening growl escaped his vocal cords making his hackles raise and tail point out in a warning to be territorial over the area. But once the same aroma of Rayne came through his flaring nostrils, Darth settled and wandered out of the water and dropped the fish that was still barely arrive, flopping around as he kept an eye on her, suspiciously until scraping his claws into the meat and devouring the corpse, hungrily.

  • Rayne watched him from a far at first she didn't want to interrupt his hunting and chance to eat. Finally seeing he did managed to catch the trout she started to make her way up to him or more precisely the fresh water. She walked right up to Darth looking to him before she turned her attention to the water, she lowered her front half so she could lap up the cool refreshing water. Once she had her fill she stood back up straight turning just enough to look to Darth. " How's the fish?"

  • Darth finished half of the fish as he licked the blood that savored upon his jaws and paws and took his attention the fae ahead. His lobes radiated forward in certainty if she was hungered also since he never had a fond for eating a lot and there was pretty much a lot of the carcass left. He never had taste for seafood or anything in the water anyways.
"Plentiful for now. Go ahead, have the rest I am not a fan of eating fish but it's the only thing out at this time of day." He mumbled under his breath more grumpy than usual as he padded up the shore towards a tree and shifted into his human form while sitting against the tree. Though he watched Rayne protectively from afar like an Alpha from his old pack he ventured in while his pale hand combed his black hair out his yellow eyes, a deep sigh escaping him as he rested his head back against the trunk in content and closing his eyes.

  • Rayne watched him closesly, werewolves were always unpredictable from her past encounters with them. She turned her attention from him to his half eaten fish "Wasteful" she thought to herself. She never believed in killing something and not eating everything it has to offer. She steped over to the fish laying down before it, she bit into the fish so she could put her claws into it to kinda hold it steady like she was using her hands or something. She slowly started to tear into the remaining of the fish. Once finished she licked her muzzle and claws. She stood so she could stretch with a loud yawn showing off her fangs, once her muscles were loose she darted over to the tree Darth was leaning upon. She didn't wait to see his reaction she just jumped up onto the tree using her claws to climb to the first tree limb which was a few feet above him. She felt safe up there out of his reach but close enough to observe him. She laid down on the limb quite at home up in the tree. "What is a werewolf doing here alone, yall usually travel in packs."

  • Darth kept on full alert while a exhale of relaxation came from him as his eyes remained closed, not flinching when she dove upon the branch since he already could feel the vibrations of her paws thudding against the terrain and her aroma. But once when he heard her question he did a tired yawn, stretching out his arms and spreading them out to go behind his head like a pillow as his intoxicating eyes open and glanced at the feathery feline above, forcing a smirk in his emotions as he remained lazy.
"I did once travel in a pack. Alpha actually until I felt that my younger brother could take over. I am done with that type of sh!t. Excuse my French but I rather adore myself to be a loner, and yourself? I think a mermaid would travel in those 'little' tribes. Hm, what are they called again?" He teased her a little as he didn't look away from her curious gaze while pulling one knee up as his other leg was resting against the foliage, stretched out.

  • Rayne hung her head down over the branch to be able to see him better, her tail hitting the tail loudly and fast. It was a normal reaction for any feline when they were annoyed but she wasn't she enjoyed the sound. " Mermaid? You still think I'm a mermaid? I'm a shifter, I can take on the shape of any creature I have seen. Figured that be easy to tell seeing one moment I was a mermaid now I'm a jaguar." Rayne twitched her ears to the sound of birds in the opposite direction, a later dinner maybe? " If you were an alpha then you should have known salt water wasn't good for you. I feel sorry for your pack." Obviously she was joking, she had a tone to her voice to alert it to be so.
