Nodding, the tiny she-cat sat down beside the tom, carefully curling her tail around her paws. Her gaze was glued to the two other toms that were currently hanging around the medicine cat den. "What are we going to do if they see us watching them?"

  • "Then we tell them. We're under specific orders to watch them. They won't be able to argue," he said calmly, not even batting an eye at the thought. Looking around, his amber eyes brightened with pride. This was their clan. All was well, and that's what made him so happy. He shifted his gaze back to Mudnose and Clawscrape, and saw them stealing glances at Littlemouse and him, though they didn't do anything.

Nodding, Littlemouse looked back at the toms, her eyes narrowing as she stared them down. She attempted to make herself look larger by puffing out her fur but it only made her looking like a oddly shaped ball of fur, which resulted in the she-cat bursting into a fit of laughter. After a moment, the little cat composed herself. It was unlike her to be so free with emotions, so the laughter took her by surprise. Shaking her head, she resumed her previous narrow-eyed stare.

  • Blazerun, confused by her sudden fits of giggles, looked over. He chuckled along with her for a moment before composing himself. Other cats had stared at them, but he ignored that. It was nice that Littlemouse and him weren't so tense anymore, even if she hated toms. Most she-cats would, and that was understandable.

Hearing the chuckle, Littlemouse looked up at Blazerun and let out an almost inaudible purr, but it didn't last for long. Worry began to fill the little she-cat's head. She hadn't been this open before and she didn't really know what would happen. Deciding to get her mind off of the thoughts she was currently having, Littlemouse looked back at Mudnose and Clawscrape. "Will we have to fight them if they do attempt anything on Shatteredstar?"

  • Blazerun pondered the thought for a moment before replying with a question. "Would you let your leader be murdered by their own clan mates, in cold blood?" He sighed. "Look, Mudnose and Clawscrape may be fellow members of WaifClan, but we don't accept traitors and betrayal."

"I would never." Littlemouse growled lowly, her fur bristling slightly. Just the thought of traitors in the clan was enough to get her blood boiling. "I just don't know how keen I am on attacking clan mates."
Shaking her head, the she-cat realized it was the wrong question to try and make conversation with. "Sorry. That was a mousebrained question." She mumbled, glaring at her paws. She wasn't good at this whole "friend" and "chit-chat" thing.

  • "It wasn't, actually. Any normal cat would have jumped straight into battle and killed their clanmates without a second thought; it's good that you're thinking flexibly," he praised her, not wanting her to feel bad. "Anyway," he sighed. "They wouldn't even be considered as our clanmates if they did such a horrid thing." He shifted his amber gaze from Littlemouse to the two toms.

The she-cat grew quiet, only nodding at what Blazerun said. Her eyes began to wander around the clan, watch the cats that she had grown up around. She wanted to know why she was so withdrawn from the others. Why the other cats had no issues making friends and being happy. Littlemouse frowned and looked down at her paws. Was it because her mother raised her wrong? Or was she just weird? None of the other cats seemed to be so guarded about their emotions so why was she? Letting out a sigh, Littlemouse decided she need to be out for awhile. She stood up suddenly, excusing herself from Blazerun, and leaving the camp—not caring if her tail was still causing her pain. She needed to hunt and to run, as it was what she did best.

  • Blazerun sighed, watching her race out of camp. She certainly needed her tail healed when she got back. Turning back towards the two toms, his usually bright gaze darkened. If they even tried to hurt his clan, they would get it.

    ((Sorry low muse))

  • ((They pretty much just killed two foxes on the territory. Littlemouse ran off somewhere, Blazerun is sitting in camp watching two toms planning to kill Shatteredstar and I don't know what anyone else is doing.))

  • Wow that escalated quickly! Who is planning to kill her?

    Amberflame
Amberflame relaxed in the shade sprawled out and watched the camp silently. She could feel her green eyes growing heavy but she refused to sleep. The cinnamon tabby feared to see her brother Tigerstep who had been constantly haunting her dreams afte he died. A small shudder went down her spine at th though of hus claws digging into her flesh. Amberflame then shook the thought away, shifting herself uncomfortably.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]wow, lazy much? triggerpaw had only just woken up, with the sun high in the sky and his clanmates bustling around him. oh, well. nobody had bothered to wake him up, so it wasn't entirely his fault. maybe if he didn't want to sleep in so late, however, he wouldn't stay up until dawn watching the stars. but they were massive burning energy balls! how could he not watch them?

the tortoiseshell stretched, arching his back, toes curling. his amber eyes blinked away sleep as he stood once again, exiting the den. oh, the sun was out today! warmth seeped through his fur as he happily approached amberflame. she was resting in the shade, peaceful as he'd ever seen her. "hey, amberflame!" he purred, flicking his tail at the she-cat.

    Amberflame
Amberflame lifted her head when she heard a voice. Her green eyes blinked before she spotted Triggerpaw who greeted her. The cinnamon tabby slightly smiled at the tom. "Good morning!" she said to him, settling her chin on her paws before she yawned. That morning hunting trip really took the energy out of her but it was her duty. The clan may be under new leadership, but that didn't mean most of the toms would changed the way they looked at she-cats. But the young apprentice Triggerpaw was friendly and so as long as she was treated well, she would repay that back. "How are you this morning, Triggerpaw?"

Though his paws were weary from his travel, Silvermoon had insisted on searching for more herbs to add to his stock and had left Shatteredstar to face the Clan alone. While it might not have been the wisest of decisions he had felt it would be good for her to make an attempt to lead the Clan without his assistance. If he ran to her aid every time she meowed for help no one would have taken her seriously. It was because of this that he had spent the afternoon digging up roots and picking berries. Now he returned to the camp, his mouth full of herbs that he could use if the Clan got in a fight with one of their neighbors.

News of Wolfstar's death would have surely spread like wild fire and many would have tried to take advantage of the turmoil. The moment it was learned that a female was now leading the Clan... Silvermoon shivered at the thought. Turning his eyes to the sky he prayed to Starclan that his Clan would remain safe. So long as Shatteredstar kept the Clan in line and no one strayed beyond the borders there was no reason for a war to break out. The tom just needed to give the she-cat some guidance and hope that the rest of the Clan would understand the necessity of their cooperation. As he padded into the camp he pushed the thoughts away, yellow eyes scanning his surroundings. There were a few cats hanging around the camp, but he didn't see Shatteredstar anywhere.

Turning toward his den he pushed his way through the branches and into his storage, putting the herbs away before backing out and making his way over to the other cats. "Have any of you seen Shatteredstar this afternoon?" Silvermoon glanced down at Triggerpaw as he spoke, knowing the apprentice still needed a proper mentor as taking the tom in had been Wolfstar's last act as leader. With any luck Shatteredstar would return soon, there was much work that needed to be done.

  • ((Just two random cats from the clan.))

Blazerun, hearing Silvermoon's question, bounded over. He dipped his head in respect to the medicine cat before speaking. "I believe I saw her exiting camp earlier this morning. She may be out hunting, or clearing her head," he informed the older tom. He nodded once more before backing away and turning around, before freezing, his amber eyes wide in shock. Clawscrape and Mudnose were gone, and he hadn't seen them enter any dens. That must mean they were outside camp! What if they found Shatteredstar?

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]it was still morning? triggerpaw dipped his head politely and didn't think once about his answer. "i'm good!" god, he was loud. his poor clanmates. trigger had been a kit when the 'males over females' rule was demolished, but the misogyny still ran deep in the clan's roots. he would have said more about his mood had silvermoon not approached them with a question. no, triggerpaw hadn't seen her. he shook his head. "nope! haven't seen her, but i've been asleep!"

what was up with blazerun? he was acting strange; not to say that every other cat was acting normal, because everyone seemed a little off today. triggerpaw's fiery oculars moved from amberflame to silvermoon, then back to blazerun. "hey blazerun! are you okay?"[size=3pt]a

  • "Just fine," he replied to Triggerpaw, trying to act casual as he backed away to the camp's entrance, ultimately failing as he bumped into a few she-cats. "Uh, sorry," he muttered sheepishly, his dark fur prickling and his ears flattening in embarrassment. Taking one last glance at Triggerpaw, he rushed out of camp without a word.
