I don't want you to pretend to be happy to try and make me and Leo think your happy ok. You don't have to be happy all the time Connor. Its not how life works"She said quietly before kissing his cheek.

He now looked at her with his eyes slightly red from crying. "I know... But yous should be happy. I don't mean to cry. I just don't know what else to do. Everything I do hurts you anymore." He said before burying his face in her chest just wanting to be held. "I love you." He said with a shaky breath.

"I love you too..."She handed him Leo and wrapped her stinging arms around him "And not everything you do, hurts me. Most the time im happy..You remember when you tried to teach me guitar but I rage quit...That was fun"She said softly trying to sooth him as she ran her fingers through his shorter hair.

He opened his eyes for a moment when she handed him Leo but he then closed his eyes again keeping him closed them again. He listened to her as he tried to calm down. "I guess so... It was fun to push you in the pool... But you were mad..." He said sadly. When he notices her playing with his hair he frowned remembering how short it was now. "My father was gonna cut it all off..." He said as he stayed close.

Maria sighed "Yeah cause I still have adhd...I wasn't on my meds...Then we got high together after you fought Vince...."She kept playing with his hair cause she knew it woul calm him down "Still you can grow it ifferently and we could dye it blue again....I was going to dye mine blue...Be all cute and couple like"

He listened to her and couldn't help but smile a bit at what she said. "Cute couple like?" He repeated with a small smile liking how it sounded. "I know it will grow back... But I finally had it how I liked it..." He said with a sigh. It was obvious he was relaxing now with her playing with his hair.

She smiled "Yeah well theres no point cring over it now Connor...we are going to make it better and bigger and more sparkly than your last hair!"She smirked before laughing "Im tired.....maybe we should head off to bed...Leos already settled"

Connor chuckled a bit with a smile before looking back to her. "Let's just stay here... I don't wanna move" he said as he pulled her closer letting her cuddle up to him.

Maria nodded and curled up on connor and kissed his cheek "i love you big bear..."she said tiredly before closing her eyes

He smiled a bit with a smile. "I love you too." He said before slowly drifting off not caring that they were in the hallway.

Maria woke up and stretched hating the tiredness she still felt and the pain in her arms made her wince before she saw Leo wasn't with them she yawned and sat up her mothers instinct taking hold.

When Maria moved off his lap he jumped slightly since he was leaning on her. He yawned and stretched before opening his eyes. "Babe?" He asked in a tired voice.

Maria sighed "Its ok go back to sleep"She said as she got up properly to check on Leo she went in and saw he was still asleep she smlied and then took some painkillers for her pain.

He yawned and was planning on getting off the floor to go to their room. He groaned slightly laying on his side instead. He had one arm under his head and the other on the floor as he stayed on his side.

Maria came out the bathroom to see him still trying to sleep she smirked slightly before going downstairs to make some breakfast. Her dad was already up "Im glad you too worked things out....I don't like Matt...it scared me to hear you say you loved him"

He slept for a while but when he heard them talking he kept his eyes closed half asleep listening to them. When Leo started crying he sighed before sitting up. He got up and stretched before heading into Leo's room. He picked him up and rocked him a bit still half asleep.

"Im honestly was scared too. I know what Matt did to me was bad...but he sounded genuine...And I got confused...But I love Connor...I asked him to marry me..I know you would be mad but he declined"Maria joked and her dad sighed "Sometimes that oy is a genius and then he is dumb...He should of said yes..Heck he should of asked you by now"He laughed.

He held Leo close and smiled watching him. He couldn't hear them anymore since he was off the floor. He then let Leo hold his fingers. "I love you... I know Mommy and daddy fight... But I promise I'm not going anywhere... I know I'm not anywhere close to being the father you deserve... But I'm trying... I love you Leo..." He spoke softly to Leo with a smile.
