  • Energybending is a rare gift. Only two are known to have possessed it, and both have been Avatars. None are born with it. But once, in the heart of Republic City, two nonbenders had a child. At first, she seemed to be a nonbender, like them, and they named her Caspia. She was a small, frail infant, and her survival was always in question.

One night, her parents had invited their neighbor, a firebender, over for dinner. Caspia was not used to strangers in her house, and as her mind was a bit unstable, she grew agitated. Throwing out her tiny, chubby hands in front of her, there was a flash of light, and the firebender's hand flew of its own accord to point at the baby. He tried to pull it back, but it was no use. Lightning soared from his fingertips and hit little Caspia just above her right armpit, narrowly missing her heart. She grew still, and the firebender was able to move his arm again. Caspia's parents, frantic, called the police, and the firebender was carried away, desperately trying to explain that he had not been able to move his arm. Thinking her dead, Caspia's parents laid her gently in her cradle one last time, weeping for their lost child.

Late in the night, when her parents had fallen into an uneasy sleep, Caspia let out a loud, plaintive cry. Jolted awake, her mother leaped up, overjoyed to see her baby alive. She woke up her husband, and they celebrated all night, skillfully ignoring a thick scar that ran from the point the lightning had entered her body to the bottom of her right cheek.

Soon they began to wonder why their neighbor had tried to kill Caspia. They took her to a healer, on a hunch, and she told them that their suspicions were true; Caspia was an energybender.

  • Yes sorry for being inactive I'm working on a really advanced thread at the mo and I'm not that good at BBCode so I'm really scared it's all gonna get lost somehow and I'll have to start all over again. :) Can we postpone the RP until the coding part of my thread is done? I'm super close to finishing.
