    [font=veranda]Fire Opal waited patiently, jumpy and ever alert now that the Homeworlders were back.
    And somewhere within that timeframe Bloodstone had taken Lia's advice and asked Purple in the sweetest tone he could manage if he wanted to fuse with him.

    As said, Star Diopside didn't regenerate for a good six months, and, even then, it wasn't much of an appearance. It was like...Fire Opal stepped out for a moment and then came back to see Star sprawled out on the floor in just a shirt and shorts. She didn't even have her favorite dragon-horn headband.

    [font=veranda]Fireo greeted her sweetly and happily, back to her normal self and only concerned over how Star was.

    [font=veranda]Fire Opal picked her up and wrapped her in a blanket and told her where she was.

    Her hand drifted to her gem, and it gave a faint glow. She pulled her hand out of the blanket and showed her a perfect teal topaz. With watery eyes and a shaking voice, she inquired, "How could you let me forget about him?"

    [font=veranda]"Oh, Star, I... I'm so sorry. i just didn't want you to remember the horror of the war. I thought that... that Bloodstone smashed his gem."

    She sniffled and cradled the gem close, and pulled something else out of her own; a small platform with a stand in the center that, at the end, looked almost like the area of a ring that was meant for a diamond. It wasn't very big, maybe about the size of a dinner plate, and had one small button.


    "I stole this, too. Its for everyone, but, I want Tealpaz in here until he regenerates. Because...he-he can come back, right?"

    We can hope so." said Fire, blinking sadly at the blueish stone.


    Star put him inside the stabilizing chamber and turned it on, and then shivered violently. She looked at Fire Opal, "Can I have a blanket? ...And sssome food?"

    [font=veranda]Fire silently nodded, picked up the blanket she'd already given her and gave it back to her, then made her a platefull of sandwiches.

    She literally inhaled them. And then her weak, pale face, with the faint circuitboard marks still there, rested on the table and watched Teal's gem.

    And when he did his gem started glowing veeery clowly and dimly at first.
