[fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Water. The trickling of water was all that could be heard from out here. However, even the loud sounds of water falling from the rocks wasn't enough to drown out his thoughts. There was so much to reflect on, but he needed to think about it somewhere where no one else was. That's why he had come to the waterfall.

Sure, it was loud, but that was okay. Shuffledcub didn't mind. He skipped a few rocks onto the water as he thought about his past. He was only two months old, so his past wasn't some giant life novel. No- it was short but bittersweet.

The main thought that drifted into his mind was about his parents. Mom and dad. Acutally, it was more like dad. He never had a chance to meet his mother. Such a shame it was really, that he was separated from her at birth.

Who forced them apart again? Oh that's right. It was his father who did. To be perfectly honest, Shuffy was still pretty sore about that. Next thing you know he was left to fend for himself. It all happened so fast, and it was all so terrible. But that's life, and you have to make the most of it.

Now, his parents were the least of his worries. They should be far from his mind. He was now part of a wonderful, strong clan, had shelter and food, and finally felt like he belonged. But still, the thought of his parents constantly bugged him every second of his life.

    Why him?

Why did he have to be the blind abandoned loser? Why not some other little kid in this massive world? Who knows why he had to go through all this. Maybe some things were meant to happen for a reason.

Sighing, the snow leopard cub gathered to his paws and began to take a stroll back to camp. He knew that he shouldn't be dwelling about this, and that he could turn his life around and make the best of it. But it wasn't that easy. Maybe his father taking him from his mother and then leaving him behind was what ultimately caused him to be such an anti-social skittish little freak.

Shuffledcub reached camp, head hung low. He put on a fake smile, hoping for nobody to see the conflicting emotions that he was feeling right now. He didn't want anybody to think less of him.

He supposed it was time to leave his dreaded past behind and focus on now. And that's exactly what he'd do, starting this very moment.

The canine's day hadn't been as busy as usual. Thus, he'd spent it switching between his two main pastimes: socializing and hiking. Frankly, they did get pretty dull after some time. Perhaps it was time to take up a new one. Pick his old habit of collecting little human nicknacks back up or something. Once he fully grasped reading, maybe he could do some actual research on humans and how they worked, even. Just the interesting stuff, though. Otherwise, he'd imagine that it could easily develop into a boring hobby.

Spotting movement out of the corner of his eye, he'd quickly take notice of Shuffledcub re-entering camp. A smile would form on the face of the canine. This would probably be a good time to further get to know the kid. See how he was settling in or something like that. Those his age would probably need to feel welcomed among their new clanmates, after all. It was rough coming into an entirely new group alone. Or at least it was for him when he did.

Rising from his spot on the cabin porch, he began toward the snow leopard cub. "Hey. Shuffledcub, is it?" he greeted once close enough.

[fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffy jumped a bit, not expecting to hear someone say his name. The snow leopard cub left his thoughts about his parents behind to focus on Aerosky, who seemed to want to talk to him. "Ye-yes, that's ri-right," he stammered, offering a nod in the director's direction. "And yo-you're Ae-Areosky, correct?" They hadn't really formerly met yet, but the young male could easily recall the leader's name.

"Yep, that's me. I'm one of the directors here." The last phrase was one often spoken out of habit, with thanks likely going toward all those joinings. It was likely the young member before him knew who he was, but he wouldn't know that, of course.

"You're new, right?" he continued. "How are you settling in? Finding your way around alright and everything?"
