    "Okay, just checking." I laughed quietly and pulled her up. "Well, it is nearly lunch time, I can take you to my favorite place?" As I helped her to her feet, I noticed the acute scratches on her face.

    "Ya okay." I said, just ready to get away from the stairs. The last time i got stared at like this is when they tried some experimental operation and there were at least 20 med students. Shaking a little i let go of his hand.

    "Lets get out of here," I suggested, as people raised their eyebrows and soon went back to their work. We may be in heaven, but people are still nosy lil turds. I stood close to her as we walked, in case she decided to fall again.

    "Hmm mm." I nodded and started walking with Kasper to wherever this food joint is. "You know I never had any food other than the stuff in cans they gave me down a tube." I said shrugging.

    "Seriously?" I asked, absolutely bewildered. "That's pretty awful." I shook my head, thinking about how cruel things could be. Though it was my nature for bad things, assuming who I was, I had to play the part of innocent angel Kasper. It was too d@mn easy.

    I shrugged, indifferent about it. "It wasn't to bad." I said, walking along with Kasper, not knowing the darkness that was hidden within. "What do you like to eat?"

    "Honestly, just about everything." I said as we arrived to the diner. "Mainly meaty foods though." I opened the door for her. The diner air was cool and refreshing, yet had a burger smell to it. "You'll love this place."

    Taking a deep breath of the cold air that had an off smell to it I stepped in to the dinner. "Already do. Thanks." I said to Kasper who was holding the door for her. "Hey I just realized that your name is the same from Casper the cowardly ghost." I chuckled, thinking of Kasper as a little ghost, but that was kinda hard because Kasper was so big and masculine.

    I frowned. "You would be surprised how many people tell me that." I walked past her easily, nodding to the man standing behind the counter. I slid into a booth and waited for Ariel and a waited to come by.

    "I suppose I'm not too surprised." I said, sliding into the booth opposite of him. Many others were in the dinner, bustling, gossiping, god knows what else.

    A short, yet pretty gal who I supposed to be a new waiter at the joint. "I'll have the usual." I spoke loud enough for my friend behind the counter to hear. He went to work, keeping an ear out for Ariel's own order.

    "Oh, may I just get a hamburger?" I asked politely to the girl about my size, that was waiting on us.

    She nodded and rather than writing it down, she called it out to the man behind the counter. He nodded and got to work on it, finishing the orders quickly. The same girl that waited on us brought out out food and left it with a couple of drinks. "Thanks." I smiled at my nuggets and mac and cheese.
