I nodded my head, as this was the usual amount of questions we got per newcomer. "Alright, You can live here as long as you want and practically do whatever you want. However, if you choose to go dormant, then you cannot come out of that." Daniel nodded along with me. He perked up, "Adding on to what he said about the 'doing whatever you want' part, that is true, but we do have laws, which are punishable."

As daniel talked, I looked over Ariel quickly, just genuinely checking her out. Nice. My mind was brought back to the real world with a helpful nudge from Daniel. "Oh- right. Yes, there are others, but-" I sigh, breaking off, "This part is hard to explain. You can only see us right now. There were more people up when I came and got you this morning, you just can't see them, not yet at least."

Daniel smirked, "Yes, you get a place to stay. Though it has to be made. There aren't premade houses in heaven, it just takes up space. You can stay with us until your house is made, if you like?" I smiled, knowing what Daniel was up too. Nearly forgetting about that last question, I jumped and looked to her, realising once again that she didn't have pants. "Oh- yeah I suppose I could get you a pair." I waved my hand in the air and three type of pants appeared: jeans, shorts, and sweat pants. "-Here."

  • I nodded, listening as best as i could as my questions got answered. They seemed to be kind and I was glad that they could explain things to me. When they asked if i would like to stay since i didn't have a house yet i nodded eagerly. "That would be great. Thanks." Before I could ask more, Kasper jumped up nearly scaring me to death by the suddenness. When he snapped his fingers he made pants out of thin air and her eyes widened. When I reached out to touch them they fell gracefully into my hands. "Wow how did you do that?!" I picked up the sweatpants since I never wore jeans or shorts and stood up, slipping them on quickly.

I watched Ariel slip on the sweat pants with a slightly cocked head. "Um- moving on, yeah, you're welcome. Just make yourself at home and I'll show you to your room later." I sat back down feeling satisfied with myself. Daniel piped up to answer her question, "It angel magic." He smiled. "Basically only angels that are in with the big man are granted powers and such."

  • "That's cool. So why can't I see anyone yet? And what are the laws?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me. I picked up my feet and sat with my legs crossed, glad that i could. I had a feeling it would take a while getting used to moving around freely.

  •
I sat comfortably on the couch, listening to her speak. "Well, you had to go through angel orientation first, so you can probably see them now? As for the laws, it's basically how it is in the human world: dont steal or kill anyone and your in tip-top shape."

  • "Sounds good!" I exclaimed, standing back up but a still wobbly. Maybe I would never be used to moving. "Do you guys want to do something? If i am aloud to go with y'all." I practically bounced on the balls of my feet at the idea of something that i could do.

  •
"Sure," I said, standing up along with her. Daniel stayed seated as he politely declined her offer. "I wish I could, but I've got work in an hour." I nodded , already knowing that he would have to say that. "Well, lets go, I'm sure you're eager to see where you'll be living and what not." I walked around her and opened the door, allowing her to pass through.

  • I nodded and waved to Daniel before turning my back and walking out the door. I muttered thanks as i went through to Kasper as he held the door and onto the porch. I turned, waiting for him to take the lead.

  • "It's better then when i lived." I said clasping my hands behind my back and walking down the stairs after him.
"Do you mind if I ask a personal question?" I asked, curious. I wonder how he died. Hopefully he would let me ask but if not I guess I can drop it .

I turned back to face her. "Yeah- Yeah, go ahead." I slowed my pace, giving her allotted time to catch up.

"Motorcycle crash," I said shrugging. "I was drunk and hit a semi truck head on." I walked casually, as it was nothing new to be talking about my death.

  • "Dang." I said soberly, glad i didn't die like that. "I'm sorry." I looked around, other people like her milling about, talking, playing.

  •
"Don't be." I shrugged. It was nothing new really. "It was my fault. I wouldn't go back even if I could."

  • "Well at least you had fun in your life, experienced things. Me? I got in a car crash when i was little and i was the only survivor. But i became neck down paralyzed. Though sometimes i had wished i had died in the crash. I couldn't do anything without the help of my mom. It sucked. We ran out of money and the doctor and my mom decided to cut me off the equipment. I approved. I guess thats how i got here." I said shrugging, not too sad.

"Interesting story," I inquired, walking down the street, my hands in my pockets. We passed by many familiar faces, I nodding to few as we walked by. "So, anything in particular that you'd like to do first?"

  • "I'm not even sure what to do. Would it be alright if i just tagged along with you for awhile?" I asked, turning my head to look at him while walking beside him. It turned out to be a bad idea. I instantly tripped over my own feet and fell face first into the road.

Before getting the chance to respond, Ariel was on the ground faster than I knew it. I stopped abruptly, raising and eyebrow and holding a hand out to help her up. "You do know that you're supposed to stay off the ground, right?" I watched around me, a collective of eyes staring in our direction. Great.

  • "Yea." I rubbed the bridge of my nose that was now covered with scratches along with my cheeks. Aware of the stares i was getting my face became hot with embarrassment. I looked up and took Kasper's hand for the third time today and lifted myself off the ground.
