  • Airea looked around. She hadn't been in this forest before, that was obvious. Huge trees towered around her, the shade they provided nice and cool compared to the terrible heat of the farm's open fields she had just left. She had been living in that stuffy old barn as long as she could remember, and it was just so... boring. She breathed in deeply, distracting herself from old memories with the fresh air. Airea padded silently through the forest, and eventually came to a small stream. She lapped up the crisp, cold water happily. Maybe later she'd try to find some fresh-kill, too.
She suddenly wondered if this was somecat's territory. After all, it seemed so... perfect to her. Then again, not all cats lived for the cool darkness that this forest provided. Airea decided not to worry about it, and, tired after her journey, fell asleep in the soft undergrowth.

  • Airea woke up with a start at the tom's threatening voice. "Who am I?" she hissed at him, her usually neat silver tabby fur ruffled. "I could ask you the same!"

  • Flicking a brown-flecked tail, and blue eyes narrowed, Aryx began to stalk around the silver femme. "Some things are not for you to know, she-cat," he snarled.
