    Ellie widened her eyes, "Um, are you sure? I'll probably get us lost..." Ellie shrugged though and lead the way. Of course, Ellie being herself, got themselves lost but eventually she found them. Ellie sighed, "Finally! I can't believe you stayed quiet this entire time, Lyra!" Ellie smiled and put her hands on her hips, proud of herself. "I did it though! It may have taken a while, but I did it! I think I'm getting better t navigation!"
    Ellie's eyes then burned with determination, "Let's make this a good match, Lyra! Even thought you're more powerful when the moon is out, I still don't plan on losing!"

  • "Okay!" Petra rubbed her hands together, "I need you two to demonstrate to me the most basic form of your magic. From that, I'll see what you need to work on." Petra had been paying close attention to how Mirajane trained her. The albino was able to pull from that the help train others.

"I think that actually took you forever. This is probably the only time I've struggled to stay quiet.. Ever." Lyra moved her hand away from her hip and began walking away to the other side of the arena. "Good luck. You can go first."

    //sorry for tiny post ;-;
  • Most base form? The magic that Terran had learned first was Firecracker, so that would probably qualify as a base. Besides, everything just kind of built off of that. "Firecracker!" he exclaimed, creating little sparks and explosions in the palm of his hand. While the tiny beasts were loud enough, he felt like he had to bring up one thing. "I can also change how loud these get, if that's worth mentioning."

  • "um, ok," Emalia took a deep breathe to gain her composer. She waved her hand from one side of her, then above and down to her other side, as she did the letters "R-a-i-n-b-o-w" colored from top of the letter to the bottom in the color spectrum.

  • Petra nodded in agreement, "For opponents like me, whose magic enhances their hearing, loud or high-pitched noises can weaken us. However, the volume would be able to stun any other opponent if loud enough."

    "Emalia, script magic gives you an edge because it hasn't very many limits. If you're good at identifying your opponents' weaknesses, than your magic can help you whip up something that takes advantage of that weakness. Your magic is even better for your ally. For example, if you were fighting with a fire dragon slayer, you could supply them with the fire they need to boost their power, and take out the opponent."

    Ellie smirked and nodded, "Let's get started then shall we?" Ellie stepped back a bit and prepared to use her first move. She knew Lyra knew most of her attacks but then again, Ellie knew most of Lyra's.
    "Solar Dragon's Sun Barrier!" Ellie spread out her arms with her fingers tipped towards the sky, closed her eyes, and crossed her ankles. A warm, golden glow engulfed her body. Ellie decided to use a defensive move before using an offensive one. She snapped her eyes open- you could see the firing passion in them. "Solar Dragon's Firing Hammer!" Intense heat and blinding light encased Ellie's fists and forearms. She ran 2/3 across the field and jumped the last third where Lyra was standing. She had the advantage because she was in the air. She readied her fists and prepared to punch Lyra...

  • "okay I'll keep that in mind" she was edger to test her limits and possible brake them, "what's next?"

    Ooc:I love that reference :D

  • "I'll remember that next time I fight you," Terran said confidentially, showing off a rare smirk. However, all of that faded when he remembered how badly he got his butt kicked. He was planning to turn all of that around though. The next fight he was in, he would win for sure! ....Well, maybe the next fight after the training ones. There was no way he was going to be able to beat Petra or Emalia now. Maybe after a lot of training and stupid luck, but definitely not now.

Lyra slightly squinted as a large amount of light began to radiate off Ellie. She of course hadn't gotten used to any source of light after letting Ellie aimlessly lead them around in the darkness. She could hear Ellie calling out her new attack, Solar Dragon's Firing Hammer, but Lyra remained where she was. It was almost like she had a death wish. She knew perfectly well what was coming, after fighting alongside Ellie for such a long time. As soon as Ellie's fist came in contact with her skin, Lyra's voice was heard nearby, but it didn't come from what Ellie was attacking.
    "Lunar Dragon's Silhouette," Lyra called out in her usual, soft voice. A step could be heard behind Ellie as the dark haired girl took a step forward. What Ellie had tried to attack was an illusion. Per usual, Lyra decided to stay on the defensive side. Usually she stayed defensive to study her opponents first, but in this case, she already knew Ellie enough.
    Lyra slightly tilted her head and smirked, an almost mocking one at that. She then took a few steps backwards, wanting to keep a little bit of distance from her opponent. The moon laid in the sky above Lyra, the moonlight casting an eerie shadow in front of Lyra. Her crimson eyes had a strange glow to them, and a teasing smirk remained on her face.
    Lyra extended her hands out forward so they were completely straight. She pressed the sides of her hand together before spreadingthem apart, in a way that made it look like she was unsheathing an invisible sword. "Lunar Dragon's Manifest," she said in a calm voice. A large shadow like sword began forming as she spread out her hands. When she finished, she held a black sword that had a very long black blade. The sword seemed to be giving off a strange purple mist.
    "Now let's really begin," Lyra said in a voice even quieter than her usual one.

    //Happy? I made a larger post for you to reply to ;-;
  • "Confidence is good, but too much could get you killed," Petra smirked right back at him. "Now, remember your attack that lacked focus? The barrage attack? I want you to try it again, except this time, imagine in your mind, how you want the attack to turn out. What is most important is that you focus on the amount of magic you put into the attack, and also where you want it to hit."

  • Shane soon noticed that their was nobody to train with. He was ok with that as he usually did his own training by himself. He soon got up and started to stretch. He just woke up (after falling asleep in a tree again and fell out) as he started to run around running pretty fast for someone with his magic. He soon went to his bag and pulled out some weights he had (You do not want to know what the weigh trust me :P) as he put them around his ankles and wrists as he felt himself getting a lot more heavy. He soon smirked a bit as he started running slower then he normally could but he still ran ok. Shane sighed a bit as he soon started to do push ups as well as some sit ups. He soon looked up at the sky as he was thinking of testing out something he kept in his bag... but he decided against it since he never used it before. He soon yawned some as he looked around at all the others that were training.

  • Wait, killed? Did the competition's against Sabertooth have a high mortality rate? If so, then why did they still do them? Honor? Most importantly, was there a chance Terran or one of his friends could get killed in this?
    "Wait, what am I thinking? She's probably just giving me some good life advice. After all, if anyone had died in these things before, Master Makarov or Mira would have mentioned it."
    After having a near heart attack over the mortality rates in the competitions, Terran now shifted his focus to more pressing matters. So he had to picture how the attack would turn out? Seemed simple enough. The fireworks image's mage shifted to a tree nearby. This tree was going down. It was pretty small, only a bit larger than a sapling, so he wouldn't need much magic power. He'd also have to keep the explosions pretty small too, which was disappointing. "Fireworks Magic: Barrage!" A small group of rapidly firing firebals emerged from the earth surrounding the tiny tree. The fireworks exploded around around their target, blowing it to tiny, crispy pieces.

  • Ok, this was going to be a bit more tricky. Should he play this as a battle type situation where he would realistically control his magic? Or should he just throw everything and anything at her? These were the big questions, and Terran opted for the former. What he really needed to do was aim parts of the Barrage at strategic spots get the most amount of damage possible with the least amount of magic. But where were those aforementioned spots? He knew for a fact that the face was one, epically the eyes and ears, but where else? Aiming for the joints could cause more damage, as they were smaller and had more tiny parts to be broken. Of course, aiming for ball and socket joints would get him nowhere. He had to aim for hinge joints, meaning the connections between the upper and lower parts of the arms and legs. Sending some blasts at the neck and back wouldn't hurt either. This particular attack would need a decent amount of magical power shoved into it to have the slightest chance of doing anything to Petra.
    Finally able to visualize his attack, Terran called out the attack name once more. "Fireworks Magic: Barrage!" Everything seemed to going as according to plan. Every colorful little explosive was going exactly where he had envisioned them. Now all they needed to do was actually connect, but a part of Terran really wished they didn't. That attack definitely looked like it could hurt.

  • The smoke cleared to reveal Petra still on her feet, crimson scales covering the parts that had been hit. The albino nodded, with a small smile on her lips. Stretching her neck, scales steaming, Petra walked towards him, "Much better. For opponents who can protect themselves last minute, you should keep a less noticeable attack up your sleeve to use immediately after, than you should be able to sneak it through whatever is shielding them."

  • Shane yawned again as he got up and decided to try out something he had never used. He soon pulled off the weights he had and dropped them on the ground (Which made a little crater in the ground) as he walked to his bag and started to pull out something that he had found in his deceased fathers room... magic armor.

  • Less noticeable? Fireworks Magic wasn't exactly the most discreet magic in the world, but Terran had a few attacks that could be considered at least a little bit inconspicuous. Snake didn't really make any big booms or set of fountains of color. Firecracker and Strobe would also be rather useful, as they we're mostly used to disable senses. Attacking his opponent, disrupting their focus, and then coming in with a much bigger attack seemed like a good idea.
    "Got it," Terran said with a nod, taking a mental note of big attacks he could use after this set up.

    Ellie narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth. She totally forgot about Lyra's illusion magic. "You're so lucky the sun isn't out, Lyra!" If it was, Ellie would use Sun Manipulation to make her own sword out of sunlight (just like Lyra had used Lunar Manipulation for the same thing). Solar Dragon's Firing Hammer was still active around her hands and arm as was Solar Dragon's Sun Barrier. Her Sun Barrier only had a few more minutes before it weared off. After it did, it would take a couple minutes before she was able to use it again. Ellie moved fast and got up in Lyra's face. The Sun Barrier and Solar Dragon's Firing Hammer had enough power to be able to block Lyra's dark sword.
    It was an odd match up. Very amusing and interesting to watch. Light vs Dark. White vs Black. The Sun vs The Moon. They were each others weaknesses which was weird and interesting at the same time. They were both strong against the other, yet weak as well.
    Ellie was still glowing brightly due to the effects of her Sun Barrier. Hopefully it would be enough to blind Lyra while they fought. She rose her fists and prepared to block any swordplay.
  • "Okay, which attacks take the least time to get to your opponent?" Petra was concentrating. Thinking up imaginary battles, different strategies, ways that Terran's magic could somehow outwit his opponent. The albino thought about the different circumstances, and the way that Terran could deal with them.
