    On DeviantArt, it usually sais Gender/Country on the profile, so I guess I got used to it. I also try to tell by the way people spell color, neighbor, things that other countries might teach English with a 'u' in it.
    I also try to trust them. if they know I'm not allowed to speak with them, I trust that they won't lie to me and say they are from U.S./Canada. And if they have very broken English as well.
