  • Leaves crinkled dryly under the feline's feet, but Abbey was too curious to notice the loud noise she was creating. The forest smelled so different compared to the clean, white rooms of the animal hospital where she had been staying until a week ago. Abbey winced inwardly, recalling the pain after her brawl with one of the neighboring cats next door.

    Lost in thought, Abbey tripped over a root and landed face-first into a muddy puddle. "Dammit!" she snarled, standing up and glaring at her distorted reflection in the puddle. Her shoulder ached slightly, but she ignored it. She needed to get rid of the mud on her face. Ugh.

    OOC: I've been on another RP site before, but I don't really know how to roleplay cats, so yep. :P Thanks for offering to RP with me!

  • IC: The din of another creature mangling leaves was within Pastel's earshot. The Bengal lifted her muzzle, trying for a clear scent of the feline. The forest hadn't been as occupied the season before, giving the forest's wildlife a pile of hunting to do. Pastel crouched, preparing herself to leap down from the tall tree, where she had been comfortably resting.

    Once all fours were touching the woodland floor, the she-cat again, tasted the air. The wind gently blew other scents towards her, but none of them were the scent of a plump mouse or a juicy squirrel. Wait— something in the air had the scent of something Pastel couldn't recognize.

    OOC: Sorry, I didn't see this until a few minutes ago! ^^;

  • IC: Abbey had sat down on the ground, far away from the mud, and started cleaning her face. Over the earthy smell of it, she almost missed the unfamiliar yet undoubtably feline scent, coming from somewhere above her. Abbey's pink nose scrunched in puzzlement. The calico was pretty sure that most cats couldn't fly. It must be coming from the trees, then.

    She titled her mud-coated face upwards, searching for the cat that her sense of smell confirmed was near. Suddenly Abbey heard a faint crunch, and she whirled around to spot Pastel a few meters away from her. "W-who are you?" Abbey mewed, raising her hackles in an attempt to look fierce, despite feeling the opposite.

    OOC: It's perfectly fine! Sorry for my late reply as well :P

  • IC: The Bengal's fur stood up in several directions. "Pastel. I live here." The she-cat narrowed her eyes, ears bent back. "Who are you?" She questioned without any hesitation. Pastel lived in a wild forest, a place where survival was your top priority. The feline didn't seem too fierce to Pastel, compared to the adders and foxes she had encountered.

    The Bengal waited for any response coming from the Calico. The wind still carried useless scents of nature. Pastel was hoping to pick up the scent of a mouse. Instead, the wind gave her the scent of another feline.

    OOC: It's alright! ^^

  • "Oh!" Pastel's answer took her by surprise, despite having heard of cats living away from humans before. Still, it was strange. Why would they labour to find food out here, instead of getting food effortless and for free in exchange for getting stroked a few times? Though, Abbey mused, the forest does have a charm of it's own.

    "I'm Abbey," she mewed in reply, turning her mind away from her thoughts to the situation at hand and lowering her hackles slightly, still on edge. "I live in the City. I just wanted to explore. I-I'm sorry if I disrupted anything." Remembering about the mud in her face, Abbey ducked her head, embarrassed and shy. Just her luck to run into someone after falling into a puddle.
