muse a is a young adult living in Liverpool, England. He lives with his mother, his father being an American soldier who went home after his term was up. Muse a travels to America to meet his alleged father, leaving his mother and girlfriend behind in England. Upon arrival, he meets max, a college student who yearns to go to New York and make it big as a musician. He takes muse a to dinner with his family after getting to know him better, where muse a meets max's younger sibling, muse b.
Muse b is a senior in highschool weeks from graduation. They are in a dream relationship with a handsome man that gets drafted for Vietnam war, though, and has to leave muse b behind. They were a strong couple, and muse b vowed to still love him when he returned. While he's gone, muse a begins to fall in love with muse b. Muse b is not oblivious to the cute boy's advances, but they've made a promise and intend to keep it. So muse a and max leave to go to New York.
Muse b gets a fateful visit from two men in uniform telling them that their boyfriend died fighting for his country. Heart broken and in need of comfort, muse b runs away after graduation to go to New York. They meet up with muse a and Max.
Slowly, muse b starts to fall for muse a, as they protest the war and get involved in many shenanigans. Will their love survive everything that's been thrown their way?
