gunner smiles and moves some hair from her face, trying to think of something clever to say. nothing. "I prefer gunner. just gunner. thanks."
Superhero Name —
" well, my first choice was Catmint. Before you go on and make a stupid joke, let me explain what it means. Catmint is a type of plant that can withstand intense weather conditions and are known for surviving through heat and with little supply of water, kind of like Saguaro cacti," Gunner bites her bottom lip, clearing her throat and lifting up her chin a little. "However, my real 'hero' name is Photosynth. Since I'm basically a flower, I can often use a process related to photosynthesis to draw energy. Plus it sounds really cool and high tech."

Gunner clears her throat, looking for a somewhat good answer. "Well, I identify as a female, but i am often considered gender-fluid. Not in the sense where i 'switch' genders, but more where i feel less feminine on other days, and more on the rest. Make sense?
Sexuality —
"well, you see, I am romantically attracted to males, so I am heteroromantic," Gunner switches her tone to something of intelligence. "But, I have no sexual - or physical attraction - to any gender. so, asexual."

[ Appearance ]
Basic Looks —
Gunner is 5"3 and weighs 115 pounds. She has caramel-hazel eyes, with long eye lashes. She's pale-porcelain, with a small hint of freckles. She isn't too skinny, since she does eat like a pig. She's slender, if you must, and has some toning around her calves and arms. She doesn't have much of an athletic build. She has nose ring, ear piercings, and used to have a lip piercing.
Scarring —
Gunner has an obvious scar on the left side of her bottom lip. It's much like a splice. However, it has a slightly humorous, but mostly serious, back story. When she was younger she had gotten a lip piercing with a fake ID, considering most parlors don't do piercings on minors under 16, or without parental consent. She got snake bites. One day at school, someone had said something offensive about her father. Then, she pulled off the "loyal dog to the leader of the pack" and stuck up in his behalf, and ended up getting in a fight. In the scuffle, she ended up getting the ring torn out, and left a scar.
however, she has a splice in her left ear from one summer when she was 13. Her and her family went to a lake. Of course, she was swinging on a rope to jump in, when she let go at a wrong time and scraped the left side of her face, literally tearing some cartilage from her left ear. However, it very small and not very noticeable.
She has several other scars from falling, wrestling, rough housing and so on, scattered all over her body.
Modifications —
she has several ear piercings, a nose ring that she often removes, and that's about it. She has a tattoo from when she was captured by an organization. It's a double-headed snake tattoo, much like this.

Personality —
Gunner is honestly very strange. Raised by many brave, courageous warriors (a majority of her immediate family served in the military; her father being a marine, and three of her brothers being in the marines or the air force) and was immediately brought up with the type of 'i fight for what's right, and i try to bring honor to my family' mentality. She grew up around 7 older brothers, and basically acted like one. Never wore makeup, went lizard catching, loved being outdoors, wrestled the other boys, so on. She's basically a huge tomboy. She loves getting knee deep in mud, adventuring and hiking out in the wilderness, camping, all that. She despises glitter, even so much as the color pink, and rarely ever gives in to the type of 'girly' stereotypes.
Smart // intelligent — She's quite intelligent. She's often able to figure out tough equations or problems, and is often seen studying everything. She's usually with her nose in a book, learning about strange things or trying to understand something. She's really just a walking encyclopedia or something; she's just really knowledgeable. Add on being a wise raven (she says ravens, since ravens are actually the most intelligent, contrary to the belief of owls being the most intelligent and the wisest), and she's basically your Mr. Rogers.
Creative // artistic — Gunner is also extremely creative. she loves drawing, painting, sculpting, writing.. whatever medium that will help her express herself. She's usually seen with her hands stained with paint or ink, and is usually found doing something. She's often sketching, considering she brings a sketchbook everywhere she goes. She's thoughtful and sees everything with an artistic eye. The sky isn't just blue to her; it's a "blanket of cyan that reflects our world. oh, and some cute li'l fluffy things flying across the sky". Birds don't just sing, they "speak of their feelings of often being trapped and seen as mere object, they must express themselves in someway!". Since she often tends to analyze everything, she's extremely observant. she can tell by the calluses on your fingers that you play guitar. she can tell that you were making pie just by the scent on your shirt. safe to say, she takes a lot of time to recognize little unique details in people.
Kind // peaceful — She's extremely kind and tries her best to fix things in the most peaceful way. Gunner is usually the shoulder to cry on, or is usually out to just give hugs to anyone. Gunner is notorious for often handing out bundles of flowers to cheer someone up, or making hand made presents as a congratulation. She's just a big fluff ball, really, and is just there to help anyone. It's rare to see her upset or angry.
Optimistic // Happy — Gunner is generally extremely happy and enthusiastic. She's basically just a ray of sunshine. She goes around and tries to make everyone's day better. She strongly believes everyone has some good in them, unless it is shown otherwise. She has a very optimistic outlook on the world, and is relatively excited to see how the world progresses. she always looks on the bright side, and it's rare she thinks of the bad sides of people or situations.
Courageous // brave — she believes courage is not being fearless, but being able to face your fears. she's able to overcome barriers, but can get a bit skittish and anxious along the way.However, she's willing to look danger in the face and tell it to screw off, even if she's week at the knees with sweat running down her face. While she does fear many things, she is usually able to overcome them. While she may not rid of the fear in whole, she's at least able to overlook it in some ways and continue on her way.
The Down Sides —Despite all these favorable traits, gunner is constantly battling herself. She feels like she has to make people happy, and she can't do that by being her own person. She tries her best to change herself to seem somewhat likable, and is often beating herself up for one small thing. she's very harsh on herself and tends to look at herself negatively. Unfortunately, Gunner inherited much of her father's side of the bad traits. Braxton folks always had an odd way of showing affection (if they displayed any), and are extremely stubborn and have a nature of wanting to show that they are likable, which ends up with them being slightly unlikable.
Obstinate // Tenacious — Gunner is a generally easy going person, but once she has her mind set on something, she probably will not let anyone sway her determination. She's often guilty of pressing on, even if others insist she doesn't. While she has the brains to know when to stop or when something isn't going to work out, she's just very determined and is willing to elbow her way to something if she has to.
Quiet // reserved — While she may not seem like it, she is usually one to keep to herself and usually doesn't voice her opinions. It's rare she'll speak out on her own behalf. Most of the time, she does not contribute her own ideas until it's too late. She tends to panic when she's about to speak, and usually ends up screwing up; thus why she tries to keep to herself.
Distrusting // Doubting — Due to frequently becoming attached to people and them leaving, Gunner has a bit of her own trust issues. Before, it was rather easy for her to cling on to someone, but now she is a whole other person. It's hard for her to believe people and wouldn't trust anyone. Gunner can't bear to be betrayed again, so she puts up a guard that distances herself from people.
Nervous // Fidgety — It's rare that Gunner isn't tapping her foot, wringing her hands or twittling her thumbs. She's usually nervous, even when she shouldn't be. however, anxious would be a better word. She tends to worry easily and cares for people too much. She'll worry herself sick sometimes. She can keep cool under certain pressuring circumstances, but otherwise she is usually a anxious wreck.
Secretive // Feline — Gunner tends to keep her feelings and thoughts to herself, but is quite skilled in keeping secrets. This has upsides and downsides, however. She usually says "cross my heart, stick a thousand needles in my eye," and usually keeps to that. She tends to bottle up her emotions, however, until it gets unbearable and has some sort of breakdown.
Contradictory // Antithetical — gunner has the habit of often going against her very own words. She'll give advice that she won't follow, and is usually seen going against herself. She tends to contradict herself in several ways that's honestly hard to explain.
Powers —
Gunner has earth related powers; she can conjure and control any type of plant from anywhere on her body or around her (as long as it's within a 50 foot range within her), as well as bond and often control animals.
History —
Gunner was born to a Marine-artist as her father and a marine biologist as a mother. While it was a bit strange family, they got along well. Of course, on the base in California. She grew up there, being a Military Brat for the first ten years of her life.

By the time Gunner was about seven, she was taller then most of the kids around her age. She became attached to art and music, and then her attachment to nature tagged along. She would plant little trees and flowers in her room, create terrariums and even make flower arrangements. She was often bullied for that. That is, until she discovered her powers.

It was one of the get together's they had on the weekends with a few of their platoon's families. The kids were all playing soccer, and kept egging Gunner to play too. So , she stopped sketching and tried playing. She was kind of a wimp, so to challenge her more, they decided on football. When she was about to make the touchdown, one of the kids tackled her. That's when thorns sprouted from her side to shield her from the blow. They cut the boy, making him bleed until they took him to the hospital. They couldn't explain what happened, until Gunner explained herself. After that, everyone became fearful of her, sending her into due isolation.

After being left alone by others, and even teased, her parents decided it would be better to send her off to her father's sister's ranch, back at her birth state, Arizona. they were still confused about her sudden power, but decided to accept it. It took an extra year to send her, but before leaving, her mother was sent to prison for illegally dealing prescription drugs.

Gunner found her haven at the ranch, loving being able to be around animals and surrounded by nature. Her aunt often helped with controlling her powers, and kept her safe from accusations. That's where Ingrid began riding, finding she was born to ride. She began riding Angus, a large clydesdale, but soon found herself falling in love with a rescue foal, Trojan. As their bond grew stronger, she began raising him like her own child and renamed him to Krypton.

It was when Gunner was only thirteen that her father went missing. When it happened, she broke down. She stopped eating and didn't go outside much, and even the weather and the flora reacted. It would rain almost everyday, hail on her worst days, and trees and gardens began dying. This turning point turned her into a great force of anger and hatred towards other, making her aggressive toward everyone.

Gunner began to heal slowly, facing the fact that her father is probably dead. As her spirits began to lift up, so did the weather and plants. Even the animals seemed to lighten up. she started becoming a peace keeper, and apologized to everyone for her behavior, only few forgiving her.

When a top secret agency found out about her powers, they captured her for experimentation. they tried to use her as a weapon. After numerous attempts to escape, they 'branded' her with the double-headed snake. After escaping, she found her new haven at the home for gifted children.

Family —
"Well, my dad, whom I was named after, disappeared. Kind of. He was on a plane, being deployed, and it kind of went of the radar. No one really knows what happened," she lets out a sigh. "My mom, however. Do I have to say it? She's in the slammer. Yep. I have her mugshot in my wallet. No kidding. To remind me not to be her. Okay. Here's where it gets crazy. I have five older brothers and one younger bro. The older ones are Micah, Genesis, Luke, Peter, Kingston, and my younger one is Jericho. One of my older brothers, Mirage, was actually killed in Afghanistan."
Friends —
Gunner clears her throat, trying not to seem like the 'loner' or 'emo' type, but tried to keep a defiant look of dignity and pride. "None that I can think off. Several acquaintances, but no real friends. I'm okay with that, honestly."
Crush —
"None, honestly," Gunner puts out her foot and kind of traces imaginary designs on the ground, looking down and shrugging, putting her hands in her pockets. "I'm okay with that, too. I kind of hope I can keep it that way, honestly."
Pets —
"Well, I have a rabbit name Sodapop. He's a black Holland lop. I have a bearded dragon names Blue..." She looks up, smiling brightly as she began to list her animals. "I have a dog named Remington. He's a belgian malinois and used to be a M-D-W, or Military Working Dog, in the Marines. He's pretty rad. I have Krypton in a nearby stable just to pop up and say 'ello."
