  • Marcus barely moved out of the way, but just ended up cornering himself more because now he was in an actual corner and had nowhere to move.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]takeo felt a smile flit across his face. though his first attack had missed, the demon was completely cornered now. he brought the knife down again, repeating the same attack.

//if you consider this power-playing or something lemme know and i'll tone it down a bit

  • Marcus let out a whine, falling to the ground and whimpering a bit before all went dark.

// no no, it's not power playing
He was supposed to be caught anyway :3

  • [align=center][font=georgia]//ah, okay. just checking c:

takeo let out a triumphant - albeit wheezy - laugh as the demon collapsed. he sheathed the knife, glancing around to see if anyone had seen them. he doubted it, since they were so deep into the alley, but you never knew. no one seemed to be around, so he picked the wolf up, immediately letting out a groan. the other boy was heavy. he started the long walk back to his car, wondering if he'd even be able to make it.

    //time-skip?

  • //sure

Marcus stayed unconscious for a little while, and after about half an hour, he shifted back to normal because his body was trying to conserve the energy and heal the small knotted wound on his head from when he was hit.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]takeo had been alarmed when the demon suddenly shifted back, but the other boy didn't seem to actually be awake. he shrugged to himself, continuing to drive. as long as he stayed unconscious, it was fine with him.

    ~

at headquarters, the other people he hunted with had told him what he pretty much expected. "interrogate him, and then kill him." so now he was in the basement, a blood-spattered room with various sigils and wards painted onto the metal, waiting for the demon to wake up. he had bound him rather tightly to a wooden chair in the center.

  • Marcus bargain to slowly wake not too long after he had been bound to the chair. At the smell of stale blood and an unfamiliar place, he woke quickly, tugging at his binds and struggling a bit. He whined softly and looked around a bit, seeing Takeo.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"ah, you're awake." takeo was holding some sort of instrument in his hands - he wasn't exactly sure what it was, since he wasn't normally the one who interrogated, but it was sharp and made of silver. he tapped it against his hand as he spoke. "so, ready to talk, then?" hopefully he could at least get a little intel on the demon's friends. even if he had none, like he said, surely he had to know something. he took a deep breath, preparing for what was most likely to come. it hurt to breathe a little, thanks to his binder, but he managed. he had finally managed to get one on after they had arrived.

  • Marcus glared at him, then looked down. "I have nothing to say to you." he said softly, taking a deep breath. The demon looked at the Hunter again, pulling at his binds uselessly.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"wrong answer." takeo said, holding the sharp, pointy object under the demon's chin. hopefully it was facing the right direction. "alright, let's start with a simple one. what's your name?"

  • The demon shifted a bit, lifting his chin a bit to try and get the tool off of him. "Marcus." He stated simply. Why lie? That wouldn't get him anywhere.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"alright, marcus. so, what exactly are your demon friends planning?" takeo insisted, leaving the tool where it was. he 'd have moved it to follow marcus, but the demon was being compliant - for now, at least.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"fine. demon acquaintances?" takeo tried, starting to get a little exasperated. surely marcus had to know something, right?

  • [align=center][font=georgia]takeo sighed, waving the tool in a vague motion of exasperation. "come on. don't you know anything? do you at least know if the other demons are planning anything?"

  • [align=center][font=georgia]takeo hesitated. this whole encounter honestly scared him - marcus seemed so human. he looked around as if someone might be watching, lowering his voice slightly. "look, i can't just let you go, y'know? i mean, the others'd kill me."

  • Marcus growled softly. "Then kill me... Just... Please... Don't torment me for nothing..." He said, looking down and letting his head hang, his animal like ears flattening against his head.

  • [align=center][font=georgia]"whoa, whoa, hold on! let's not jump straight to killing." takeo said hurriedly. though he normally wouldn't protest against killing a monster, marcus just looked so... pitiful. like a lost puppy. killing him seemed strangely wrong.
