She been demoted, but funny enough she really didn't care. The whole leader thing got old, not to mention she didn't know what she was doing half the time. Now that she wasn't leader, the divergent had more free time. She was taking a walk in her feline body, when a familiar figure drifted from the heavens. Oh boy. "Jeanine." the blue winged feline breathed. She would never forget the evil spirit. The same evil spirit that almost killed her and Four. The malicious erudite simply smirked, and wrapped her starry tail around her paws. "Oh Lilystar. You were a great leader. But now you're just a regular old member, and that wimp Polariswhatever is taking your place." Lily didn't like when her friends were called wimps. "What do you want, Jeanine?" she asked, voice flat and eyes narrowed. An evil glint appeared in Jeanine's ice blue eyes. "You see, I could never destroy your clan with you in charge. You'd know something was up. I had it all planned out, but I knew you would somehow stop it. Well guess what, you're not leader anymore, so you can't stop me. You see, I plan to erase the memory of your entire clan. Then I'll take over and call your clan mine. Well, it was your clan." "I may not be leading anymore, but I'm still loyal, Jeanine. I will die fighting for my clan, and that's exactly what I'll do if I have to." Lily hissed before turning around and walking away. --- The next day, Lily was in her divergent cat body once more. She still had nine lives, even if she wasn't the official leader. But she planned on getting them taken away after this, and going back to lilyfern. But she had to do this first. Lily walked into Jeanine's lair. It was terrifying, but fear didn't shut her down, it woke her up. It always did. It was a risky move, but she had to take it. Slowly she pushed the door open, and was immediately hit with death. Well, it wasn't so much death as death serum. No one, not even a divergent, has been able to resist the death serum. She could feel it killing her. If she just laid down and let go, she would die peacefully and it would be over soon. If she just... No. She couldn't do it. She had to be strong. For her clan. The ebony feline took a large breath, pulled herself up, and used the sheer will to live. After what felt like forever, she reached the other room. Alive. Now all she had to do was put in the code and her clan would be saved. She crept closer. She could feel the buttons against her paw. But this seemed way too easy. "Hello Lilystar," came a voice from behind. The ebony divergent immediately turned, her grey eyes plastered to the ginger and white male. His orange eyes were slotted, and his yellow teeth were fixed into an evil grin. "I bet you are wondering who I am. My name is Brandon. I'm Jeanine's assistant. She instructed me to kill you." And with those words the tabby Tom lunged for the ebony female. As he lunged, Lily immediately leaped for the code box. She could feel as Brandon landed on her, and was digging his claws into her flank. It hurt, but she had to push through and do this for the clan who gave her so much. Now, what could the code be? She tried her name, didn't work. Fours name, didn't work. Wait, she knew it. Just as Brandon punctured her soft belly, meaning she would be dead in a matter of minutes, the divergent reached for the code box one last time. Her vision was beginning to be blurry, but she could still see the box as she typed the four letter code. H-O-P-E. It worked. There was a buzz, then a bunch of other noises, and she knew she shut it down. But it was too late for the ex leader. As she typed in the last letter, Lily fell to the ground. She knew it was over. As she was hanging onto life by a thread, a familiar figure appeared. Lily had bled out 8 of her 9 lives, meaning after this she was officially gone. "Mom...?" the dying female asked in a weak voice. Natalie smiled, before nuzzling her daughter. "Hope, I am so proud of you. You led your clan well. You decliqued the clan. And you showed that you can be a good leader no matter where you were born. You did so much and because of you Windclan is a better place. But your time is up sweetie. Come live with me and your father - you're birth father. Yes, I found him. Oh and Four and everyone. You'll love it. I promise." "But mom...what about my friends?" Lily asked, terrified of what would happen to those she cared most about. "They'll take care of each other, that's what friends do." Natalie explained, before turning around and motioning for her daughter to follow. Lily took a deep breath, her last one. Could she be forgiven for all she did to get here? She could. She believed it.[/fancypost] |
