Darkened Eclipse and her big sister, Granite Statue, slowly strolled around their home in Filly Delphia. Eclipse tugged at her sister's tail. "What?" Granite asked in mock annoyance. "Tell me the story of your cutie mark again! Pleeease??" asked Eclipse hopefully. "Okay, fine." chuckled Granite, and Eclipse happily hopped onto her back. "When I was your age," the larger Pegasus began, her trot forming into a run as she gathered enough speed to hoist herself in the air and glide lazily, "I had just about no emotion." Granite said. Her large wings gained enough speed to get up higher. Eclipse smiled as the wing ran through her mane and tickled her head. "But, one day, Mom and Dad brought you home. And I felt.." she paused. "Happy! You felt happy!" yelped Eclipse, and her sister nodded with a giggle. "Yes, I was happy." agreed Granite. "And then, poof! A cutie mark appeared on my flank." she ended her story with a memorable smile. Eclipse smiled- she loved that story. "And what does it mean?" she asked. She knew the answer, but every time she told the story Eclipse would ask. "It means that, just because I look like a statue, I still have feelings." Eclipse paused, and added something she never asked. "How is that a talent?" she questioned. Granite considered this for a moment and shrugged. "I don't know, actually." she said truthfully. Darkened Eclipse nodded slowly. "Okay." she neighed. Suddenly, her curiosity vanished and melted into hope. "Can we drop by the ice cream store? Please?" she hooted. Granite sighed, smirking. "Okay, okay." she said, and swooped down to the ice cream shop.
