After half an hour she got out her bath and dried off. Now much more calmer she got dressed and went downstairs.

There wasn't much on his walk. No humans passed by and all that he could hear was the movement of animals. He flexed his fangs and thought about giving chase but decided against it.

Maria stretched out wondering where he was before starting to mke herself something to eat.

He made his way home and walked through the front door. He could smell Maria cooking something and he watched her for a little bit before making his presence known.

Maria heard hi mand smiled "Hello"She said as she finished cooking and put her food on a plate before sitting at the table and started eating it.

"Hey", he said with a smile in return as he went and sat in the chair opposite her. He looked out the window as she ate.

"Are you feeling ok?"She asked noticing how distant and quiet he was. She knew it was a big change for him. But she wanted a quiet life were people weren't out to kill them all the time.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine. It is just strange not hearing all the noises of the castle", he said with a smile. He wasn't bothered by this way of living it was just different. He was just needing some time to get used to living in a new environment.

Maria finished her meal "Yeah its quite silent here"She said quietly as she took her plate and washed it in the sink "Although we could always fill this house with noises"She said a little shyly. Thinking about the future.

"We could adopt some of the village children from the orphanage maybe", Anthony said with a smile.

"Yea.."She said quietly before going upstairs. She didn't understand why he hadn't thought of natural childbirth. Maybe because she was human now. But what difference did it make.

Anthony frowned slightly at her response. A vampire and human just couldn't produce offspring. Adoption was really the only route they coukd take.

Once she hadcalmed down she went downstairs and back to Anthony "Turn me..turn me again"she begged.

Anthony shook his head, "I won't. I made an agreement with the hunters not to change you again. Not to mention, a third time could end up killing you. I won't risk that", he said with a shake of his head.

Maria started crying "I..I just wish...That I could have your kids...Most people can..why can'twe"She whimpered

Anthony brought her close and pet her hair in a comforting manner. "It can", Anthony said hesitantly, "but it's rare and when it does happen it's not a good thing. When the baby is born the mother dies. It's a tragic thing really", he said with a frown.

Maria was slightly shocked "but..what if the mother drank blood...or had been a vampire before surely that changes the odds"she asked quietly

"A vampire aND vampire have to adopt. A vampire and human can but the human would have to be changed as soon as the baby was born. It would be a risky process", he trailed off.

"I would rather try...Please. Please Anthony we have a normal sort of life now"Maria begged
