"You can stay in the guest room"Maria said noticing him following her. She still loved him but she had changed not by choice. She went into her room and sighed lying on the bed.

Anthony stopped and looked around confused. He heard the door close and sighed before walking back to the living room. He didn't really need to aleep, but he liked to do so for convenience. Shrugging he sat on the couch and looked put the window.

Maria sighed and curled up trying to forget about everything she started crying quietly trying to sleep.

Anthony heard her crying and made his way back to the bedroom. "Maria", he said hesitantly as he knocked.

Maria quickly wiped her face "what?"she asked not wanting to be weak in front of him.

"I know things aren't great between us but I'm still here if you need me", he said hesitantly.

Maria sighed as she tried to stop her tears falling "I just want things like they were..Between us. Now I don't know if I can ever trust you again"

"I understand", Anthony said as he clenched his fist. "Is there anything I can do to help", he asked.

"Just...Hold me?"She asked like a little child.

Anthony nodded his head and walked over to her. He slowly climbed into bed and wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her close and held on to her in a tight embrace.

Maria stopoed crying and stayed close to him glad he was holding her she closed her eyes as she calmed down.

Anthony was quick to fall asleep beside maria. His arms held her tightly as he slept.

Maria fell asleep in his arms. Into a blank empty dream.

When Anthony woke up he was careful not to disturb Maria as he got up. He made his way to the kitchen and opened the fridge. The blood packs stared at him and he bit his lip. He would need to warm them if he was to eat this way.
He found a bowl and was quick to boil some water. He put the water in the bowl and waited a few minutes before submerging the blood pack in the water. He didn't like the taste or consistency of cold blood.

Maria continued sleeping before rolling over and feeling coldness before waking up with a yawn. She saw Anthony had left. But she didn't want to leave the bed since it was warm.

Once the blood pack was warm Anthony dug into it. He was quick to consume all the blood and have the pack drained. He wiped his mouth and hands before dumping the bowl of water.

Maria finally got up and went over to the bathroom she started running herself a bath and stared at herse;f in the mirror. She didn't want to be a hunter anymore. But she didn't want to be a vampire again either. She just wanted to be normal.

Anthony heard the shower water kick on and he let out a deep breathe. He gazed out at the window and a frown came to his face. He couldn't provide Maria with a normal life because of what he was. It would have been better for him to have forgotten about her, but he couldn't.

Maria finished and stripped before getting in her bath she sighed and relaxed in the water.
