I just joined yesterday and one of my questions is what happens to people who get reported, like I'm worried what will happen to somebody doing a bad thing if they get reported? Do they get permabanned or what? ![]()
What happens to people who get reported?

They don't get banned unless it's something extremely bad.
-
The staff do not permanently ban someone from just a little mistake. ;3 If the person is very rude to many people and have done very many, very bad offenses before, they may get banned for a long time, but Wynn never bans someone forever. It's a long time. However, she will ban them for as long until she thinks they are ready, which can take a long time if they have done bad things.
But if you simply report someone, the staff will fix their mistake and tell them either by PM or in the thread what they did wrong, how to avoid it, and why not to do it. They then reward the reporter with fresh kill and the amount varies from the report.
If the report is false, the staff will simply PM the reporter and tell them and tell them how it was false and that's the end of that. :) Nobody knows who reported who- so if you report someone that person won't know, nobody will know besides staff and they will not give that out.

Depends on the degree of the rule break. If it's powerplay (Hitting another person's character with out aiming) then staff comes in and tells them what they did wrong. Only really big rule breaks like sexual scenes rped out, being rude ooc, or anything else in that matter. Anyways the person who reports the rule break gets a small incentive of Fresh-kill.

Um, monday? Think ya' forgot something:
If it's bad (ie. causing rants...), you'll get warned. It's not banning you, it's just a warning not to do it again. =)

I always feel such a snitch reporting people :/
-
there is no need to feel bad in reporting, Linoness. :) It helps out the staff when you report some one;; adn you are given fresh-kill. And know one but the staff knows who reported them.
-
I know but I still feel a bit guilty
-
it's okay, i think we alll do. even i feel guilty some times. ;)
-
Lol ;)
-
Yeah, sometimes that happens. But it's what you do. It's never a bad thing really. :)
-
Yeah :)

nobody should EVER feel guilty about reporting. i know some of the people could be your friends and whatnot, but you are making the site a better place by eliminating rule breaks. especially if the rule break is rudeness or baiting -- those are real turn-offs for newbies who are considering joining the site and they earn you hundreds of freshkill if you report.
before i became a moderator, i reported tons of people. i have no hard feelings toward any of them; i simply wanted them to understand that what they did needs to be corrected. most of it's just an easy fix, and the staff will simply pm or post in the thread. it can be a bit intimidating, but all of the staff mean well.
if any of your friends harass you for reporting them, report that for it is a serious offence. nobody should know who reported whom anyway. that's the point of having a private reporting system. :P

Thank you that made me feel a bit better

I don't feel guilty for reporting. I feel the same way as Ryo up there. ^^ I just want to help that person understand the site rules and features better.
I'm reported people I know in RL before. ;3
I feel fine, as I believe I am helping that user. I occasionally report things. ;3
