  • Newtpaw licked his fur, trying to flatten it and clean up his haphazard appearance. The tortie Tom looked slightly embarrassed but perked up at the sight of his mentor approaching.

  • ashleap stuck his head into the apprentice den, "Let us go training!" Ashleap anounced looking at Newtpaw.

Emberleaf purred in amusement and left the apprentice den.

  • Cinderspots was still fast asleep in the Nursery, curled loosely around the kits pressed against her warm underbelly. She breathed softly, keeping her kits relaxed until they stirred. The first awake was Lionkit, as per usual, small head poking up from the crowd of fluff she and her brothers were tucked all in together. She yawned and blinked open large amber eyes, gazing around at the other queens with a faint smile on her small maw and a dozey, quiet, "Morning.."

  • Honeytongue lets out a soft sigh of exasperation. He has no clue why he is so out of it this morning, but he decides to attempt to keep it together.
"Okay, I've got the dawn patrol out," he murmurs to himself. "I sent out Stormstar for the hunting patrol. Elders, elders... they'll complain to me later about their nests I shouldn't worry..."

  • Wolfpaw did his best to wait paitently, but soon became distracted by a butterfly that was fluttering by. He had to resist the urge to bat at it, not wanting to embarrass himself in front of all the other cats. He perked up when he saw Newtpaw approaching him.
    "Hey Newtpaw!"

  • Honeytongue paces back and forth in front of the leader's den, unsure of whether he's forgotten anything. He wants to think he has everything done and should settle down, but he doesn't do either of those things.

  • Ashleap followed Newtpaw and led him to the entrance.

  • OOC: Hey guys, quick reminder-- No one-sentence posts, remember? :3

IC: Lionleaf purred. "It's all right, Vinepaw. You haven't missed anything." The fluffy golden tom sat down and drew a paw over his ear. "We're short on poppy seeds and goldenrod, so I thought we'd head out herb gathering today." He paused, and added, "You should eat before we go, though. I think one of the warriors has brought in a small amount of freshkill already." He knew Emberleaf often brought in something before the dawn patrol had even left.

Pantherstep watched Wolfpaw with slight amusement, noticing how his eyes strayed to the butterfly. The serious she-cat hadn't ever had such temptations as an apprentice, but it wasn't unusual. In her mind, it wasn't even really a bad thing. The apprentices deserved to have some fun before they took on the duties of a warrior. Straightening up, she glanced around, looking for Emberleaf. She was eager to get going.

Poppynose woke up, blinking, as Cinderspot's quiet mew reached her ears. She yawned, showing her teeth, and looked around with round yellow eyes. They lit on Lionkit and she let out a purr. Seeing the other queen's kits always made her happy she was having her own. The calico she-cat sat up and began to groom herself neatly. "Morning, Cinderspots." She meowed between licks.

Stormstar slid into the apprentice den. "Whitepaw!" He called. "We're on hunting patrol." Leaving the apprentice to wake up, the leader then headed over to the warriors den. "Anyone up for hunting? Honeytongue asked me to take a few cats." He meowed.

  • Flameblaze walked out of the warriors den, stretching his back in the form of an arc. He looked around, maybe there was a patrol around he could join or just go hunting for the clan. He felt good today.

Leafstorm was sleeping in the nursery, feeling the sunlight warm her pelt. She was finishing a dream about running in a forest with her dead mate, and they spent time just talking

  • Newtpaw grinned cheerfully at Wolfpaw. "Hi!" he mewed, the slender tom waving his tail as he scampered after his mentor. "Are you guys coming with us?" He looked from his mentor, to Wolfpaw, to the other apprentice's mentor.

"Morning, Cinderspots," Pearcloud purred, pressing her paws into the earth as she sat up. Kneading the moss, she groomed her soft ginger pelt, grinning to herself at the kits stirring against the other queen.

"I'll come hunting," Waspfang offered, the tortoiseshell getting to her paws and dipping her head towards the leader. She padded over, glancing at Newtpaw scampering around in the entrance and twitching her whiskers with amusement.

  • Honytongue nods in satisfaction as he watches Stormstar gather warriors for the hunting patrol. That is one less thing he has to worry about. He gets to his paws and pads over to the nursery, poking his head in.
"Hey guys," he greets. "You guys notice any drafts lately? Holes in the bramble shield?"
Better safe then sorry, I suppose, he thinks.

  • OOC: Nothing much has happened, most of the Clan's still waking up. Stormstar is finding cats to take on a hunting patrol, and Emberleaf is doing the same for the dawn patrol. I believe both of them have called for their apprentices.

IC: Stormstar nodded. "Thanks, Waspfang. If I take Whitepaw that'll be three of us, should be enough." The dark grey tabby padded back across the camp, knowing Waspfang would follow. Now they just had to wait for Whitepaw, and he suspected they wouldn't have to wait long.

Poppynose looked up. "No, we're okay, I think, Honeytongue." She mewed, glancing around the small stone room. The walls and ceiling had been reinforced with brambles and a coating of ivy covered most of it. "Thank you." She glanced around at the other queens to affirm her statement. Most of them were awake now.

  • "Alright, great, cool,"
Honeytongue pulls his head out of the nursery and scans the camp. It appears everything is in full swing. He decides he'll stay behind from the patrols to keep watch. No such thing as being too careful.

  • Wolfpaw smiled at the other apprentince.
"Um, Honeytounge told me I was on the border patrol, but maybe he'll let me come with you?" Wolfpaw glanced hopefully back at his mentor. He noticed Honeytounge had been acting a little odd lately, but he didn't want to press the issue.

  • Emberleaf turned from the apprentice den, her face turned a deep red as he fur brushed Stormstar's ever so slightly. She approached Pantherstep happily.

Vinepaw nodded and yawned smiling, "I get use something to eat," the brown tabby said as he headed for the den exit.

Ashleap looked at Newtpaw, "Any apprenticices can come as long as their mentors are ok with it," he instructed his tortishell apprentice.

  • Bramblefoot padded out of the Warrior's Den, tongue curling as he yawned. The black and white tom scanned his surroundings and eyed the fresh-kill pile. Have I missed the dawn patrol? He wondered.

Petalfur rested her chin on her paws, sprawled out in a ray of sunlight in front of the Elder's Den. She flicked her tail lazily in greeting to each cat passing by.

  • As her two sons awoke as well, Cinderspots leaned her head down to give the young kits a brief lick between the ears each, gently nudging at the slow-riser that was Greykit with her nose and earning a complaint of a mew in response. Lionkit simply shook herself off and took another quick looking around the nursery after taking a few steps away from her mother, tail swishing excitedly behind her as she turned back to the other two kits, awaiting them to wake up so she could play. But alas, it didn't seem like her brothers were in the mood, or state of awakeness, to be playing and running around this morning, so she huffed and turned tail, padding along to peer her head out of the nursery.

"Don't wander off too far now, Lionkit." She heard her mother call warily to her, giving the older she an acknowledging nod of response as she walked a little out of the den, for something at all to entertain her.

  • "Oh, yes, go ahead Wolfpaw," Honeytongue replies. "That's fine. I think we needed for hunters anyway..."
He flicks his tail in a perturbed manner.
