So, whenever I get up from sitting (even for a couple of seconds), my hip always pops. And it's not the little silent pops. It's like, really loud, and I ask my friends if they heard it (if they're around), and they're always like "Yeah". It's becoming excessive now, and it's concerning me. At first, when it first started popping, I was like "Haha, weird". But now it's like, every time I get up from sitting or kneeling (or bending down). I think I got it from my mother, but I honestly don't know why it's happening so much??

I swear I have the joints of an old lady.

    is it painful for you??

i have heard that stretching helps!
    [/fancypost]

  • i think stretching might help also some people just

    pop

i have knuckles and toes that crack easily but also my ankles and wrists, i think it's just a normal thing that

well i think you aren't supposed to do it that often but i wouldn't worry too much, maybe talk to a doctor in case it might lead to problems later on.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:9pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; letter-spacing: -.5px; width:400px; margin-top: -5px;] I would definitely stretch, and if it gets really bad, ask a doctor to see if it's actually something bad.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]Mostly dittoing the others- does it hurt at all? Unless that's the case I believe you should be okay, because I believe popping joints in general doesn't really do anything? Weird that it happens so often, though.
Either way my mother is a physical therapist, so I'll probs ask her for you once she gets home :^)

but yes, it does kind of hurt. but i've gotten used to it, which is why i added "kind of".

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; font: normal 16px times new roman; borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]One of my friends has this same thing; she can't walk down stairs without popping something, and her joints crack easily. I think it's not a problem, it's just how you're built, ya know? But besides that I'm not sure, haa. xD
