  • <<<<<<some time in the future>>>>>>>>>>>

Shadow paced through the tunnel and back out into the cave, the humans had been coming back for some time now and it was making Shadow nervous. This morning he had heard from a cat passing by that the humans on the moorland were building a nest, they said that it wouldn't be safe here for much longer and that the prey will disappear. Shadow couldn't help but agree, as soon as the humans had arrived, finding prey had become harder and with Ember expecting their kits he didn't think it was a good idea for them to stay there any longer. "Ember, I think we should leave, its getting to dangerous and with the kits on the way it will only put their lives in grave danger, the humans have also been bringing a dog with them" he mowed padding over to were his mate was sitting, her belly round with kits. Shadow had grown a habit of running his paws and tail over her growing stomach because he couldn't see it.

  • Ember lifted her head as Shadow walked in, twitching her ears nervously she pulled her tail around her belly and nodded, "OK. If it is safer to move we will move," she said, nervousness edging her voice.

  • He licked her cheek affectionately. "Come on, we should get moving, do you have anywhere you would like to go in particular?" he asked nudging her to her paws gently.

  • Ember purred softly as she heaved herself to her paws, nudging Shadow affectionately she shook her head, "No," she meowed, flicking her tail.

  • Shadow purred staying close to her side. "lets go then" He mowed walking with her out of the cave, being careful so that she didn't fall on anything, he kept his senses alert for danger.

  • Ember nodded and pressed up against Shadow as they left the cave, twitching her ears around for any signs of twolegs or dogs.

  • They padded across the moor, following the cliff but not to closely. Shadow wondered were they could possibly go, they couldn't go to far because Ember was pregnant but maybe they could continue to find a more permanent home once the kits were born.

  • Ember gazed at the horizon as the paddd close to teh clif face, pressing up against Shadow she wondered what was beyond the endless ocean.

  • "Ok," She said turning her gaze forward and scanning the moor which stretched much farther in the direction they were heading, away from the clans.

  • Ember twitched her ears as she spotted a river, curling her tail contently.

  • She looked over the river, spotting a decently large clump of bushes, "I think so," she said, flicking her tail.

  • She nodded and trotted towards the river.

  • "Ok the river is right here, there are a few stones across," she said when they reached the river, stepping forward so she was standing on the first stone.

  • Once ember reached the other side she took a step back and waited for Shadow.
