  • Azure ate the small shrew slowly, glancing up at Ash every so often.

  • Ash ate the blackbird once he had plucked every feather from it. When he dinished his meal and gathered up the feathers and padded over to the nests and split the feathers, putting half in each pile.

  • Azure noticed he was putting feathers in both nests. She felt a small gleam of hope. Maybe he did want her to stay. But then it was gone, because she couldn't stay. Not here, not anywhere. Or they'd find her. Fain echos of her dream made her shudder and she hung her head. Maybe just for a few days, she thought to herself.

  • Ash turned around, "I'm going hunting for herbs," he said in a questioning sorta way saying Do you want to come?

  • Azure nodded and got to her paws. "I'll come with you, if that's all right." She stretched, curling her claws into the ground. "I need to stretch my legs anyway."

  • Ash nodded and exited his den, draping fern fronds over the entrance once Azure had exited.

  • Azure followed Ash curiously. "You said you were looking for herbs. Are you some sort of medicine cat? Or, uhh, a healer, I guess?" She tried to find words that weren't clan-speak.

  • He purred in amusement, "No. I just find basic herbs when I get into fights. Or when others get into fights," he reassured her and trotted over to a patch of marigold.

  • "Oh." Azure meowed, following him. "But you do have some medicinal skills." She glanced down at the plants, and honestly had no idea what they were or what they did. As a loner, and a Clan cat, she'd been more concerned with hunting and occasionally fighting, than learning herbs.

  • A fe minutes later Ash had everything he needed, "Weefs goo bag," he mumbled through the herbs.

  • Azure couldn't help but grin at Ash's garbled voice. "You shouldn't talk with your mouth full." She teased, a mischievous glow in her blue eyes. For once she looked completely at ease.

  • Ash glared at her in a playful way and trotted happily to his den.

  • Azure followed, smiling to herself. Now, in the daylight, it was hard to remember the uncertainty of her future.

  • As Ash reached his den and pushed through the entrance, placed the hebs on a rock and emerged at th entrance again.

  • Azure waited for him. "Sooo... what now?" She smiled at him.

  • He smirked playfully and tapped her head with his tail, "Your it!" she said running off, his legs thrusting him forward easily.

  • Azure gave chase. "Not for long!" All that time spent running had tired her out and left her with aching muscles, but now that she'd been fed and had a good sleep, they felt stronger, faster, than they had before. And she had trained as a warrior for awhile, and that helped. She put on a burst of speed, digging her claws into the ground for traction. "Come back here!" She crowed playfully.

  • "Nevah!" he shouted playful, leaping up a tree with incredible speed, unaturally gracful. He reached the top and leap from tree to tree.

  • "Oh no you don't!" Azure shot up the tree after him, her claws digging into the bark as she climbed higher and higher.

  • Ash stood on a tree, several trees away from her, "You connot catch a desendant of SkyClan in the trees! I am in my element!" He said happily.
