    Yellow skidded to a stop, turning around confused. "O-Opal!" She stuttered, then the shock took over again. "The g-Gem the Gem that was trying to break out Hyalite; I think... I think it's-" she choked back on her own sob
    "-it's Diamond, it's White Diamond-"
    no, no, NO. Yellow couldn't even process it, even with her saying it out load. The stuff of her nightmares for thousands of years had come back to haunt her.

    Yellow flinched, stepping back, tears building up in her eyes. She had thoigh her Cinnabar was in control, but... perhaps not, after all...
    Too upset to think, Yellow just choked out, "Then go back!" And ran out, immediately regretting the words. But what could she do? What was there to do? White Diamond was here, Cinnabar was gone, Pink was in her gem...
    Apatite, Apatite, she needed to find her teammate, her friend. Where were they? Rubbing her eyes from underneath her glasses, the Tourmaline looked around. Where could they be...?
    Deciding to check the statue first, maybe that was a good idea. The smell of the ocean on the breeze helped Yellow calm down as she sniffed and tried to blink back her tears.
    They should probably leave the statue alone anyways; no use letting White Diamond know they were near.
    "Apatite?" Yellow called wearily, looking around. She rounded the statue. "Apa-"
    Then a piercing shriek resonated throughout the whole bea ch.

    Cutting into Yellow's hands were shards; shards that had her dripping blood onto the pristine white sand. Shards were all that was left, all that was left of dear Apatite. They... they hadn't deserved this... they were loud and agressive and angry and maybe didn't love humans nearly as much as Yellow did, but they had been so kind... kind to take the Tourmaline's in and kind enough to stay and CA Yellow down and... and now...
    Yellow sobbed into Cinnibar's shoulder, hands curling into fists. The shards, still in her hands pierced deep into her skin, sending sharp bolts of pain up her arms, but Yellow didn't care. She hugged Cinnabar hard, tears flooding her vision, sobs racking her body and making it hard for her to breathe. The hug wasn't helping her breathe, but there was no way Yellow was letting go.
    Yellow screamed into Cinnabar's shoulder, incoherent words as she poured her heart out like her blood was, mind throbbing with thoughts... but not throbbing nearly as heart as her heart.

    It felt like an eternity before Yellow's hysterical crying subsided slowly to soft sobs. It felt like even longer before she was still, face still buried in Cinnabar's tall shoulder. His soothing touch sped the process of stability, but only highlighted how precious her friends were.
    How long had they been out there? Yellow's face finally started to peek out, hiccuping every now and again. The first thing she did was look into Cinnabar's face and fight back tears again. "P-P-Please-Please don't l-l-leave!" She choked, diving back into the hug to hide her tears once more. Cinnabar's clothes were soaked with her salty tears and his back with her blood from her bleeding hands.

    Choking back her sob, Yellow hugged hug close, tears and blood streaming down. Apatite, dear Apatite... she never got to thank them or say goodbye or... say anything... of how much they meant to Yellow...
    She squeezed her eyes shut and collapsed to her knees besides Cinnabar, going from hugging his head to hugging around his neck and letting him cry in her shoulder.
