(Hey guys I think some people are in bed now and I'm gonna follow them, why don't we set up post rotation now so it dosnt flood the others and jump by so fast. There aren't allot of us replying so it makes sense to slow down.)

OOC: I'm totally ok with that. Especially since it would be nice to not see "while you were typing, 4 replies have been posted." XD Zimri? Your thoughts?
Boarding the drop ship, Tyler spared a glance at Saya. He felt s little bad, as it was obvious she had wanted to go, most likely to make up for the mistake she had made regarding the other ships. "Y'know, boss. It probably would be a good idea to allow Saya to come. She obviously wants to make up for something." he said, creating a private comm channel with Elanius.
-
(Agreed and this is my last post for the night)
Kam got abord with them and noded "and she helped them allot with the engine so it would only be fair to reward her with a good fight" she says moving towards the back of the drop ship slightly away from the others, her stomach was in knots, this was we first real battle ever and even the first time she had ever held a gun.
-
OOC:
Absolutely. But first of all, a "public service announcement": Since there are so many of us in this RP and in different time-zones, I think I need some help moderating things. I've asked Kami to help out and she agreed, so if she has any OOC instructions she "speaks with my authority" as it were (bonus points if you recognize the quote!)Anyway! Post-rotation… in case someone here isn't familiar with the concept, it means we will post in a specific order so nobody ends up being left out. The rotation will be like this:
1. Zimri (Since I'll narrate a bit, I'll go first to describe the setting and the changes on the battlefield.)
2. Commander Alex Shepard (Since the captain should have a chance to give orders.)
3. Starwars228 (Since Elijah has taken initiative to be the second-in-command remaining on the ship)
4. Sheeptar, Shockerflame and Kami in any order. If anything is unclear, just feel free to ask. We are starting this cycle right now, though, so keep the order in mind.
IC:
The battle raged on in the skies above the planet. Down below, the colony known as the Nephelai Spires rested on top of three separate plateaus high up in the sky, all leveled out and terraformed. The sun was rising on the horizon, but it hadn't been out long enough to provide much warmth, and there were still traces of frost on the windows of the different buildings and hab-domes. A large slaver vessel roared through the skies and landed on the plateau with the industrial section and power plant. The workers who were at their morning shift cried out in terror and ran for cover in the buildings, sealing them off where possible while a dozen of batarians in heavy armor poured out from the ship. They moved out in teams of three, starting to place explosives on the gates to the larger buildings to get inside. The ship itself took off and landed on a second plateau full of hab-domes, but no additional slavers came out just yet.
Saya had left the shuttle engines on; it was ready for take-off as soon as Elanius was there. The quarian, meanwhile, ambled reluctantly out of the room and looked for a corridor in which she could set up a firing lane with her sniper rifle.
-
"Saya!" Elanius called out to the quarian "Disregard my last order, your coming ground side" she said
Ooc: Gah, I had to type saya four times for the autocorrect to stop correcting it to 'says'
-
Elijah looked over at the injured, at least now they had guns to defend themselves but he did not feel that he should leave them just yet. He got onto the comms with the bridge though and ordered "I want the ship's GARDIAN up right now, we are sitting ducks if they are not turned on!" Shooting down missiles and boarding parties before they got to the ship was always beneficial for everyone as a whole.
-
Max had been ready to protest the orders then sighed and headed to cic where he began to monitor the situation around the planet gazing at the new contacts. "These vessels don't look like anything I've seen before...." Max said gazing towards the alliance brawl with the strange ships.
Ooc: this feels a lot like the flood from halo
-
Ooc: indeed, or the covenant perhaps?
-
(I can't post till shocker gets on :T i dont know what to do)
-
(OOC: This is the obvious downside to a post rotation. Just be patient :P If this ends up taking too much time, I might change it so 4-6 on the list may just respond whenever they are on. Would you guys prefer that? )
-
(It would be easier, my god I sound like spock just by typing this)
-
{Doesn't matter to me} -
(Okay. Sheeptar, Shocker and Kami may now make their posts in any order, so first come first served basically. Hopefully that will speed things up a bit so not everyone has to be on in an exact order. Kami go ahead and post if you want.)
-
Kami sits down quietly on the shuttle and grips the gun in her hands looking over it, she sighs happily seeming ready to fight
-
{patience is running low mon'} -
OOC: Sorry, been busy today.
IC: Tyler stood in the shuttle, gripping one of the handles above him. "Let's get this show on the road." he grunted, not wanting to waste anymore time.
-
Saya froze up and seemed confused for a moment, but then responded over her com. “Aye Captain,” she said with a rather poor attempt at masking her enthusiasm, and hurried back to the shuttle. She got back inside and crouched down with her sniper rifle, ready to open fire the moment they approached the ground and Elanius deemed it proper to open the shuttle doors.
Sokolov could hear the secondary crew rotation get to work up on the bridge, powering up the Errant’s systems and readying the ship for battle. He downloaded the current tactical data to his omni-tool and studied it for a moment before calling the others over his communicator: “Kapitan… it’s time to leave if you want to get your team ground-side! We only have a few more minutes until we get within range of the enemy fleet!”
***
The heavy barrage between the Alliance and Slaver fleets had started to slow down, as the battle now seemed to take place on the boarded ships. Whoever the slavers were, they clearly weren't stupid enough to open fire on their own people.
Down on the planet, the batarians had planted the last of their explosives and started to retreat to a safe distance before they blew the gates into the large industrial buildings. On the other plateau, a single batarian came out from the ship along with a retinue of vorcha. They marched in slow procession towards the hab-domes, apparently in no rush to do whatever it was they were planning.
(OOC: Also, Alex, feel free to move the RP forward as far as until your team lands on the planet. :) )
-
Max continued to watch the battle intrigued by the fact that the ships stopped fire, it was customary for the boarding party to lower the defenses of the vessels to allow additional fire, while the weapon fire kept the crew busy.
-
{NO THE CYCLE!IT HAS BEEN BROKEN! WHY SHEEPTAR WHY?!}
