    " yep. it's my birthday. i'm officially a year old!" he smiled, deciding to announce his birthday to the camp. marth had even stopped by and left him a cake. who knows where got it, but it was a cake! " anybody want to relish in the celebration of twelve months of living and have a slice of cake?"

The alabaster kitsune approached, her pale eyes filled with a charming wonder. "Um, happy birthday..." she murmured. Was that what she was supposed to say? Then there was the cake. Oh boy, human food. "What...what flavor is it?" she inquired slowly as she stared ominously toward the sugary dessert. Hopefully not chocolate. "Just for precautionary measures. Sorry to spoil your fun there." she quickly added in with a sympathetic grin.

    he took a very small slice and tasted a berry. oh, it was like a giant strawberry shortcake! " it's strawberry- no chocolate, as i'm pretty sure my son doesn't want me to die." he smiled, offering her a slice.

"Thanks, birthday boy." the kitsune spoke with a sheepish grin as she accepted the slice. She gingerly took a bite of her helping. Huh...berries weren't half-bad. In fact, they were pretty good. "When I'm a year old I've got to get some of this for myself too." she murmured.

But now that he thought about it, if you're turning older every year, and you could die from old age, right? So doesn't that mean you're really celebrating to your death? It made him shiver to his spine while he was awkwardly padding over to his foster father with a feeble smile spreading across upon his maw. Well, it was possible to come back with a younger body, which he guessed that was okay... Oh well. Attempting to hug the former guardian, a soft purr could be heard from Rhys and nuzzled him gently. "H-happy birthday, D-Dad. A-also sorry t-that I didn't have a g-gift for you..." awkwardly said the blind apprentice with his burning ears as he had no desire to eat the human sugary food. All he just wanted to do was to say happy birthday to him with a hug. If only he knew his birthday was today earlier, then he would have got a gift for him.

    Flux padded over, nudging Rhys's shoulder gently with her paw. In her jaws was a small blue box, wrapped neatly with a yellow bow. A small tag hung from the side of it, stating that it was a gift from 'The whole family' with a little heart scrawled next to it. She lowered it down, setting it before the medic intern. "Would you mind giving this to your father?"she whispered, a small smile on her face. She offered him a wink before straightening back up and saying out loud,"Happy birthday, sweetie."

    chrom embraced his son back. " it's fine, rhys. the only gift i need is the gift of family." well, that was cheesy as hell, but he couldn't help it. turning to his girlfriend, he smiled. " hey flux! want some birthday cake? marth brought it over. he said he remembered my birthday. isn't that sweet? oh, and he's also a nightwatcher back in shadowclan. he's happy."

    chrom happily scurried over to the cake, sort of trying to pull it apart without using his paws and eventually just used his sword to cut the cake and pick it up, plopping it on a plastic plate he conjured and handing to her. " i-it's strawberry.. it tastes good and it's sweet. reminds me of you. the sweet part. not the tasting good part. i mean if i ate you you would probably taste- i'm gonna stop here."

    Chrom seemed to be fumbling with his words more and more lately. Needless to say, Flux found it very amusing. She let out a slight purr. "How kind of you, although I am pretty sure that I would have no problem with you ea-"she started, but then cut herself off. Right. No flirting. There were kids near. Even Flux herself messed up sometimes with these things. "Thank you, dear." She then promptly took a bite.

    chrom hadn't actually even been trying to flirt- he was talking about cannibalism. it seemed the heroic and dignified armor chrom had wore had been peeled off with his death and he acted much more like the garry he used to be. " yeah... we could do that tonig-" no flirting. right.
