He didn't reply just gave her a look then turned away.

She glared at him and growled.
-
"Don't even start."
-
She glared at him.
-
He rolled his eyes and tried to ignore her.
-
She sighed quietly and looked away from him. She didn't even know why she cared about him, he was just an angel.
-
"Look, I'll break the contract." He whispered feeling the atmosphere. "I'll leave and have someone else take your case."
-
Luckily, her back was facing him and he couldn't see her face. Her eyes widened, all traces of annoyance gone. Him leaving? She should be glad about that, but why wasn't she? "Hah, so you're giving up" she said, doing her best to sound normal. She really didn't want him to go.
-
"I'm not giving up. Clearly this isn't helping anyone. Those demons are coming after me, it's just a distraction from the present task." he sighed and looked up at the sky.
-
"You know, if you leave and pass your job on to another angel, they'll just go after them. Besides, you're part of my job, remember?"
-
"I never said you had to quit, if you want to kill me I'm not complaining."
-
She clenched her hands. Why was this so difficult. She should kill him right now, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. "What have you done to me" she mumbled quietly.
-
He heard her but chose to ignore it as he turned away. He felt sick and sighed "I really am sorry. I never meant for it to start out like this."
-
She didn't know what to say, she was too busy trying to put her thoughts together. She wanted him to stay, she didn't want to kill him, she didn't know what to do. It was starting to overwhelm her.
-
He had gotten close to her. Closer than he should on a job. "I'll get it worked out, hand it over to someone who has a chance."
-
"Don't" she said quietly, not knowing what else to say. This wasn't supposed to happen, she shouldn't be feeling like this.
-
"Both of us are wasting each other's time." He tried to hide the confusion in his voice. "I'm thinking about efficiency."
-
"You think I care about efficiency" she said, trying to keep her voice sounding normal.
-
He turned around and shrugged "I'm not really sure, I'm sure things will be easy on you coming back successful. It won't matter either way for me. So if you want this over I'll give in."
-
"Well maybe I don't want this to be over. I didn't save you from those other three demons for nothing."
