Jemma sunk her teeth into the dogs neck before jumping off as it ran. She noticed that a dog was coming at Nails. She ran before taking a flying leap and crashing into the dog. Nails hissed in surprise before jum img and helping Jemma drive off the dog. Nails scratched its neck while Jemma went for the eyes and muzzle. A few minutes passed and the dog was sent howling away.

She let go of the dog she was fighting and ran from the nursery to help, sure that Dangerspirit could handle the dog. Dangerdspirit let out a yowl as he was grabbed , the teeth sinking deep into his scruff. Carelessly, he was thrown across the clearing and he hit against a rock. Blood was visible from the back of the snowferra's head. He lay still, unmoving as the dog to land a killing blow.

Fall finished off the dog he was fightinf and turned around to see his friend in danger. "Dangerspirit!" he yowled, alerting the dog as he charged forward and pounced onto its back, claws digging in deep. The dog flailed but only received a bite on the shoulder before finally it threw Fall off and charged off into the territroy.

Heatherstar was unmoving, and her flanks movement was slowing. She would not stop breathing until after the battle, in which she would give up her eighth life.

Elkheart nodded to Riverheart and looked arouns. "Did I not bring Rainkit in here?" she mewed in surprise, eyes widening at the thought of her kit being caught up in the battle. She stuck her head out of the den and looked around the flurry of cats and dogs for her kit.

Birdsong began stumbling forward but started sneezing and shivering. She was freezing. "Y-you go a-ahead." she managed to meow, her voice trembling with cold as she lay down and huddle up, trying to get warmer in the middle of the forest.

Jemma noticed that a kit was in the middle on the battle. She quickly ran toward it, doggeing fangs and claws before landing right next to it. She gripped the kits scruff and started getting it to the med den where she saw all the kits being put in there. She had some trouble but she kept moving, determined to get the kit to safety. Finally she made it, ignoring the unknown she cats, she put the kit in front of them befire running back into battle, collar moving up and down.

Dangerspirit let out a quiet grunt. His lips barely moved and he did not move. The last of the dogs ran away, and the camp was left in silence. "Don't treat me like I'm a kit, mousebrain." he murmured with an amused tone in his eyes. He moved his head to look up at Riverheart and that was when a deep gash on his neck was exposed.

Fall took a breath and whipped around, charging back to his sister's lifeless body. He tipped back his head and yowled, "Heatherstar! No!" before crouching and burying his face in the female fireferra's fur.

Heatherstar opened her eyes to see herself in a place she had been many times before. StarClan. She looked at two shining white cats and an outline of a fireferra that looked like her. One of the cats vanished, indicating her losing a life, and the outline of herself grew stronger. This was her spirit as it warned her she was on her last life. The remaining cat dipped his head and her eyes slowly opened. "F-Fall?"

Elkheart purred in delight as she began to groom Nightkit and Rainkit, before picking both up and heading back into the nursery to give Patchkit a wash with them.

Birdsong remained shivering, looking up at Armageddon and Tank and Leafstorm as they left.

"I-I'm okay." he whispered weakly, blood gushing from his neck wound.

Fall stood back and watched his sister as she got up.

Heatherstar weakly stood up and purred softly, staggering over to the Highrock. "Join here please." she called weakly

Elkheart turned and left the nursery, sitting beneath Heatherstar,looking up.

Birdsong stood up and yowled as the dogs charged past the group. She entered camp and raced to Dangerspirit's side. "Dangerspirit!" she gasped.

Fall waited.

Heatherstar yowled, "Many of our catsarwe injured and-" Her gaze trailed to Dangerspirit and she widened her eyes. "Oh my StarClan."

Elkheart too followed her leader's gaze

Birdsong shook her head. "Riverheart, I'm sorry....it's too deep to treat it."

Nails and Jemma were breathing heavily as they watched the dogs run off. The two started to pad out of the camp. There was a nasty gash on Nails's flank and Jemma had a cut across her chest, not enough to hurt anything but still enough to bleed a large amount. Both were tired from fighting since it had been a little w hike since they had to run off dogs.

She wanted her kit to have some memory of his father before worse came to worse. She dashed out of camp shortly after. As much as she wanted to be with Dangerspirit if he died, she had to track the dogs down before their scent was lost. She was going to get revenge. "Please Starclan," She thought. "Please let him survive long enough for me to get back." Runekit nuzzled into his father's fur blindly and began mewling sadly. Dangerspirit couldn't help but purr when he felt his neck being licked. But his eyes widened when he saw his mate rushing from camp. "S-someone stop her!" He closed his eyes again. "She won't make it back in time.." His tail flicked to touch Minnowpool's shoulder gratefully.

Fall sighed, shaking his head and staring at his friend. He guessed Dangerspirit wouldn't want the entire Clan over him when he died, so he hung back.

Heatherstar called down. "Birdsong! You haven't even tried treating it. Give it a go!"

Elkheart's eyes were clouded with grief as she stared blankly aheas at Dangerspirit, her eyes fixed on him. "I don't know, my love." she meowed, curling her tail around Rainkit.

Birdsong sighed and nodded, darting into her den and returning with a wad of cobwebs and marigold and comfrey in her mouth. She started applying them all and shook her head. "I've done all I can. He might survive now."
