He laughed under his breath. "Thank ya." He smiled

"You're welcome." I smiled. Caroline was tugging on my hand. "Mommy, let's go." She said.

"I see y'all need to get going." James smiled. "Maybe I could see yuns later."

"Yeah." I smiled. "Bye!" Caroline shouted. "Bye." I smiled and waved.

"Bye." He tipped his hat and closed the back of the moving van.

Once Caroline and I arrived at the park, she ran to the swings and we swung.

"She was nice." James smiled and went to his apartment

Once Carolibe and I finished at the park, we walked home and Caroline saw James. "Hi!" She yelled as she ran to him.

He smiled. "Hey." He put his hat on the little girls head then looked up at Lacey. "How are y'all?"

"We're good, how are you?" I smiled back. Caroline took the hat off and looked at it before placing it back on her head.

"Just fine." James smiled and leaned against the wall and watched Caroline for a moment then turned his attention back to Lacey. "You and your husband must have a handfull with her."

"Oh, I'm not married." I said awkwardly looking down rubbing my arm.

"Boyfriend?" He asked softly and gently leaned into the conversation.

"Well... No." I said keeping my eyes on the ground.

James gave a small smile. "Its fine that you don't. You are doing extremely well for a single parent." He said softly.

I smiled slightly. "Thank you." I said finally looking up. Caroline took off the hat and handed it to James. "There you go." She said

"Thanks, hun." He smiled and took it back. He looked back at Lacey. "Well, anytime you wanna chat or anything ya know where to find me."
