HISTORY.
(childhood) selinda spent a large portion of her childhood under the control of norway, though spent her very early years learning a thing or two from scotland. her time under norwegian rule was often spent in solitude since the older nation was always off conquering distant lands. it was not until 1397, when the kalmar union was formed, that she spent any time with him at all. the time that she spent with him at that point was awkward and unsatisfying; she much preferred to hang out with denmark, whose cheery demeanor and positivity she admired. denmark gained control over her as a result of the treaty of kiel in 1814, and he still retains much power over her in modern day.
(education) like most nations, selinda has been in and out of school throughout her lifetime, but most of her knowledge comes from lifetime experience. while she does not tend to display much of her wisdom, she is no dummy.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION.
(build) 5'5". 120 lbs. curvaceous thighs. hourglass shape.
(hair) short, scruffy pixie cut of sandy blonde hair. her bangs are angled across her face to where it is common for them to cover one of her eyes. [reference used]
(eyes) almond shaped. gunmetal blue with light, softly angled eyebrows.
(skin) Tumbleweed tan (#E1C3A7) (x); Light freckles spill across her nose and cheekbones. There is a long, faded white scar running down the upper part of one arm. She gained this as a child, when she tried to stow away on one of Norway's vessels. One of his men discovered her and slashed her arm with a blade before Norway saw what was going on and rescued her, though making her stay behind.
